Because of the previous job, I called him a couple years later (Spring 2006) to come out and trim the same tree again. Left several messages. Finally called back and said he remembered the original job and would come by within a couple of weeks to do it, but never showed up or called. So I waited until Fall 2006 because the tree started to bloom and called again. Finally got back to me and said he would come out but again never showed up. So then in Spring 2007 I though I would give it another try, and same thing happened. I basically gave up at that point. Business must be good. Long story short, if you actually get him out to do do the job it will probably be done well at a reasonable price, but unless you have 3 or 4 years to wait you might as well pay a little more for someone who can get the job done equally as well but within a reasonable time.
Description of Work: John came out several years ago (2003) to consult on a tree and trim it. Did a great job at a reasonable price. I was very impressed.

The company was excellent. The price quoted was less than other companies we got estimates from, and the employees were more knowledgeable than some others we heard from. The man who came to do the estimate was helpful and thorough. He stayed for over an hour, answering our questions and taking notes on what we wanted. His estimate was detailed and provided choices about levels of trimming with different prices. He was honest about what we needed and didn't need to do. The one negative about the experience was actually getting the date set. The estimate was done in Oct, and we were told someone would call us late Nov to early Dec, but they didn't. I had to call a few times until we finally got a date set. On the day, the workers arrived on time and did a great job, cleaning up carefully. Overall, great experience.
Description of Work: Trimmed trees around our house. Removed buckthorn.

HE PRESENTED A COUPLE OPTIONS. I FEARED LOSING ONE TREE TO RHIZOSPHAERA OR CYTOSPORA, BUT HE SAID THAT WE COULD PROBABLY HELP IT LIVE LONGER. TRIMMED BOTTOM AND DEAD LIMBS FROM SPRUCES AND CLEARED DEAD NEEDLES IMPROVING AERATION AND SIMPLIFYING MULCHING AND WATERING. VERTICAL PERFECTIONS IS AN OWNER-OPERATED BUSINESS. THE RECOMMENDATIONS WERE SIMILAR TO A LARGER COMPANY BUT CAME AT SOMEWHAT LESS EXPENSE.
Description of Work: THE OWNER CAME TO ADVISE ME ON NEEDLE DROP ON COLORADO BLUE SPRUCE IN MY BACK YARD.
