Description of Work: They plastered our kitchen walls and ceiling after we tore out some old cabinets. The work was fantastic. They were prompt, efficient and great to work with. I will definitely use them again if we need plaster work done.

Description of Work: Our home is nearly 100 years old. Thus it has plaster and lath walls and ceilings. A few weeks ago we were surprised when a 2' x 3' section of ceiling plaster collapsed. It seems to have been loosened by some remodeling work done a few years ago on the room above. We contacted John from United Wall Systems who quickly responded with a thorough review of the problem and a clear explanation of the repair work needed. His bid was very clear about what they would do and seemed reasonable, although a bit expensive. Yet we wanted the job done right so as to maintain the character of our vintage home. We were willing to spend the money to have it done well. We were not interested in shortcuts. He showed me pictures of work he had done before on similar problems. I felt they had the skills to do the work. Plus, I liked that John was not just a salesman. He would also be doing the work. Just a few short weeks later, John and Jeff came to do the job of cleaning out the remaining loose plaster, putting in new layers of plaster and then adding two thin layers over the entire ceiling so that the patch would blend in perfectly. The final step was sanding the entire ceiling smooth.

Description of Work: An elegant stucco finish was applied to cover up our large exterior 2-story, old, crumbling brick chimney. The stucco was perfectly colored to match our existing wood frame home (the stucco is paintable if we should ever change our home color). John applied a metal lath to the existing brick to keep it from deteriorating further, then began his stucco work. At john's suggestion, we applied a stone crown at the top, which matched the stone work he had previously done on the front exterior of our home. The cost of this work was much less than what it would have cost to re-brick the chimney, or even to encase it in wood.

Description of Work: Covered all walls and floors thru-out the work area. Removed "popcorn texture" from ceilings in living room/dining room, kitchen, and hallway. Repaired all imperfections. Applied "knock down" ceiling texture. Applied two coats of paint. Cleaned the premise before departing.

Description of Work: We had exterior stone added to our house. They removed the old siding, made suggestions that we are glad we listened to, and did a first rate job.
