The Cleaning Authority - Burnsville

It's hard to find a good cleaner. We're picky. We have not found anybody that is up to 'A' standard for cleaning somebody's house. If I was running the cleaning service, whether it be cleaning a house or cleaning an automobile, you just clean it like it's your own. They do it professionally. We've had prior cleaners where they've said, "Oh, we'll make your bed." I don't care about my bed being made, clean the shower better. Take the extra 10 minutes that it takes to make my bed and clean my shower better or clean the sinks better or clean the floor. I can make my own bed, that's not the problem, but why you're here, is to clean. You know the high traffic areas - kitchens, bathrooms. Focus on kitchens and bathrooms. I want to come in and have those areas be spotless. Picking things up to dust and making sure they get back in the right spots, so you're not having to go through and check everything, things like that. The communication side, in the cleaning industry, could be better, whether you do apps or websites or things like that, so you can have constant communication with these people because it's difficult to do. I would have an app where people could do something, put it in there and say, "Here is what I want done," and you won't have to leave a note, you could do it on the fly because everybody is mobile now, just leaving a piece of paper, stuff like that, is just not very 2016.

I would not recommend them to anybody. They were kind of crooked. They ruined things in my house and the manager of the company never called to fix anything. After I let them go they showed up two months later and tried getting into my house after I had let them go. It was, like, a big ordeal.

We have had The Cleaning Authority in Burnsville clean our house a number of times. They have a methodology in which they clean the whole house every time they come and do a deeper clean of f sections of the house on a rotation (so every 4 times there is some area getting a deeper clean). They also say that they have inspectors and that if you aren't satisfied, let them know right away and they will make it right. In theory, I like this approach. I have always been pleased that they come to clean on the days that they clean. They are reliable about showing up to clean as scheduled. They aren't always reliable about the time that they show up, but they come during the day when we are at work, so it doesn't affect us very much. I have not had any issues with our possessions (a few things that were not of high value were broken, but this was admitted by the cleaners.) While it will be a hassle to find someone else, I have found the quality of the service to be poor and the customer service to be poor. Quality: We are paying for a service -- to clean the house. They are professional cleaners, so I would expect the quality to be better than I might do myself. Every time they come, I need to inspect their work. It seems that their inspectors either don't see the dirt or don't inspect. Inevitably, they miss things or leave things in poor quality. For example, after a number of weeks with them doing the cleaning in my bathroom, there was fungus growing in the toilet. I complained about this. They said that they use natural cleaners. Never in my life have I had this happen when the toilet is being cleaned regularly --- I don't buy it. Another example: we have a stainless steel kitchen sink. They do not use a stainless steel cleaner, so the sink doesn't look clean when they are done. Another example: they say that they get behind and under furniture on the rotation. After a number of months of them doing the cleaning, there were cobwebs and dirt behind the furniture. Very clear that it hadn't been cleaned. I complained about it. They said that they would inspect more often. There is no indication that this has been done. When I have told the owner that I am not satisfied, I get a glib response that is just words. Action doesn't follow. I think the price is a little high and for the poor quality, it is definitely overpriced!

We were satisfied with them. The price was reasonable. We would use them again in the future.

I like the fact that their punctual, and that they do what I contracted them to do.

The Cleaning Authority has now been cleaning my house every other week for over 3 months. I continue to be impressed with the service and the people that provide the service. I posted a great review following the first service in August, 2012 and felt I should report again after I have more experience with them. I am happy to report that they have not disappointed me. I switched to The Cleaning Authority to get a more detailed and thorough cleaning; not just the basics. Their rotation schedule is exactly what my house has needed. With the Holidays approaching, I recently requested a change to the schedule to accommodate a houseful of guests I was expecting. They were able to move my scheduled date/time and it worked out perfectly! They also brought in extra help that day and made modifications to their deep cleaning to accommodate our guest sleeping rooms. I was so happy and proud of my home when they were done! That made a great start to my holiday!

Worst. Service. Ever. The local franchise owner came to give an estimate and was on time. Lars. Then he responded to my request for service immediately. I requested the following week. He said they would be there between 11am-1pm. Due to my varying work schedule, he also said we could request different times or days by calling that week -- a very important criteria for us choosing a service provider. The day of service, 1pm rolled around and no one was there or called. I called the company and was kicked to the corporate call center (the receptionists there were the only people I have been able to contact since this all started). They said they had me scheduled for 3:00-5:00. I was annoyed as I had been waiting around for the cleaners to come, so I asked for a call back from the owner. They asked if I'd still like service, which I did, and also they said they'd put down that I needed a call the day before cleaning to confirm a time. Around 4pm I called to confirm that someone was still in fact coming, as no one had shown up yet. Once they showed up shortly after 4, there were 4-5 women who were nice and cleaned well. Despite having asked the corporate office twice to discuss my issues with scheduling with the local owner, he NEVER CALLED ME BACK. The day before my next scheduled cleaning, by 3:45pm I still had not heard anything. I called and got the corporate call center. They said I'd receive a call by 5pm from the local office to confirm time for the next day. Nothing by 5:15. I called back and they said the local office was closed for the day. Lars is still MIA as far as returning any of my calls. I canceled my service due to poor customer service and communication - I will not give them another dime. I think the cleaning that was done was fine. The women who came into the house were fine. It was nothing overwhelming but the dirtiness of the new home we'd just moved into was improved. This company has HORRIBLE customer service, as they never returned any calls or lived up to their promises. I would recommend using another service!

I hired The Cleaning Authority to clean my home because their brochure indicated they were detailed as I desired. They claim to perform specific cleaning each time they come plus a detailed and specific list of additional cleaning services they would perform on a rotating basis. During the initial interview and quote in my home, i too was very detailed in what I was looking for. The owner assured me that I would be satisfied. When the cleaning crew arrived the first time, i went through a few things with them, but was very pleased that some of the very specific things I was hoping they would do were actualled listed on the crew's instructions provided by the owner. He made certain that his crew knew what I was wanting done. They were great!

I was very pleased with the services outlined, and what was suppose to be cleaned. The owner was very well presented. Unfortunately they did not provide the service promised. There was still cobwebs on lamps, above the stove in doorways. Dust and dirt on rim of shower and tub, fronts of cabinets were not wiped down like promised. They come back to evaluate, agreed with me that the service was not adaquate and were coming the next day to redo. Unfortunately the redo was just as bad, the only thing I could tell they had done was wipe down the cabinets. There was still cobwebs in the lamps, above stove, dirt above the shower. Save yourself the trouble. Terrible experience.

I have had this service for some time. New owners took over about a year ago. The quality of the cleaning has deteriorated. I have called several times but have not seen any improvement. They leave lights on; the area that they are doing the rotation cleaning has had many pieces of furniture that have not been dusted. A large footstool was left sitting on top of my couch. I don't feel that I need to call any more to ask for the service that I am paying for.
