Sears - Burnsville

They are always very responsive. The workers were nice and genuine completed the work in an hour or so. They actually repaired it alot of people do not repair microwaves anymore.

They are good at what they do, their good at coming out and taking the old appliance away and doing the plumbing and putting the new appliance in and all that, they contract they don't have their own installers, they contract two installers you really can't say was this a good thing from sears because Sears didn't actually do the work they just supply the product and then somebody else does the work and you don't know who that person is. The guy who put it in knew what he was doing and he did a good job. It is a good dish washer but it is a little low for me so it's hard to get down into the bottom of it now that I'm older, it's quiet, it's nicely quiet.

New $700 washing machine lasted one year. Bought insurance they offered when called for repair. Something like for $300, I had a year extended warrantee that covered everything. But if the repair was over 500 bucks, they wouldn't do it and just give me 500 toward another machine. Repair guy came out. The repair for the warn out bearings was about $250 bucks. So I said great, fix it. He said but wait, Sears policy is to also replace the drum, which puts it over the 500 bucks. Is there anything wrong with the drum? No, I don't know until I take it apart he said. So, I asked him to take it apart and just fix what needs fixing. He cited the policy again. So, we spent time on the phone so I could figure out this policy that just happened to bump the cost beyond repairable. Took a lot of time and finally I dismissed him because there were half a million people I'd need to talk to at sears to track down this policy. Days later, hours on the phone being transferred around dozens of people left me with no answers on this mystery policy nor how I could find out about it. So I gave up. Took my 500 toward a new one and am forced to buy the extended warrantee or else spend $700 every year for a washing machine. Would like to see the company stand by it's products and it's customers. Given a choice, I will not be buying from Sears again.
