Two men arrived promptly with all the tools they needed to get all jobs performed. The took a phone photo of my list prior to work so they knew what tools to bring to the job.

This is the second time I've had Scott do work around my home, and again I was very pleased with the experience. Scott was very responsive to my phone call, and he and his co-worker were able to do all the tasks on my "to-do" list extremely efficiently! I wanted some kind of lock on my patio door so that it could be opened enough for my cats to get out, however, not my elderly father (By the way, he's never unattended, however, I'm very cautious and I don't want him on the 2nd-floor patio losing his balance and falling over the railing!) They were able to come up with a wonderful solution, and I couldn't be more pleased with it! Scott is very reasonable with his prices, and never seems as if he's trying to charge more than what is fair and customary; I like to recognize integrity, and that's one of the reasons I like to hire Scott.

Scott was pleasant and professional while providing an estimate for jobs that I was planning to DIY before getting pregnant. He provided an hourly rate on the job to hang wall shelves that was too expensive for the convenience so we passed on that. He offered itemized project estimates for the fence and wall. The fence estimate seemed a bit on the high side, especially considering he did not seem particularly supportive of staining cedar, preferring instead to let it silver naturally. The wall estimate seemed fair, but I didn't get another to compare it to. As it happened, we got sidetrack by some family medical issues over the summer so the work was not performed. If a need for a professional arises in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Scott again.

I had a window that was dropping quickly after it was unlatched. I called and left a message explaining my issue. In less than 24 hours, Scott returned my call, explained what was happening with the window and walked me through the remedy. It took less than 3 minutes, his solution worked like a charm, he didn't need to come to my house and it didn't cost me dime! Very classy to take the time to call a customer, knowing you won't get paid, just to be a decent, helpful guy. I'm moving into a new house shortly and I'm sure will have a list of "to do's" written up. I know who I'm going to call!

One storm door had shifted in the frame and needed to be realigned. All 3 storm doors had deadbolts that were almost impossible to engage. This was partly due to poor design, but mostly due to an issue I have with grip strength and flexibility. Scott and Clint watched me try to engage the mechanism and determined that I needed more leverage. They came up with a very creative way to add a lever to the deadbolt knob that was both functional and attractive. We're very pleased with the work they did, as well as with how they communicated with us, and will definitely have them back for other handyman-type projects in the near future.

From my initial contact with Scott, I was happy with how quickly he responded to my e-mails. On the day we'd scheduled the work, he and another gentleman helping him out arrived on time and got down to business right away! They installed the storm door quickly, it works and looks great, and the actual charge was less than what I had been quoted. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely consider using Scott's services in the future for other jobs around the house!

Scott and his helper were efficient, on time, professional, and courteous. We were thrilled to knock so many things off the "honey do" list in one day. There were a couple of items that he declined to repair, explaining why I needed a painter and not his services. He also pointed out that my gutters on the back of the house were not installed properly, resulting in ice dams winter after winter. We got a new roof last summer, and those guys never said a word! We couldn't have been more please with his services. We even got a couple of things fixed that we hadn't even noticed. Love that! We will definitely be using this service again.

I have used Scott before and was happy that time, too. He inspected the door and kept at it; it turned out that some previous workperson had used too long a nail to attach the base moulding and ended up nailing right thru the door. They removed the moulding and the nail & cleaned up after themselves. I was very satisfied with their work.

Wow! Scott came at the time he said he would arrive. He listened to my concerns regarding the hand rail (I have a disability and need sturdy hand rails). He also listened and respected my need to do the work "on a budget." While Scott was getting supplies at the hardware store to do the repairs, his partner asked if there were any other small projects he could work on. Wowee! I got repairs made to four pieces of furniture and got the ceiling bulbs replaced. He was able to take care of five mini-projects that I was unable to do myself. The guys were great. Nice people to work with - they listen and they work hard. And, I have a railing that's been reinforced and is super-sturdy. Thank you!

I am a repeat customer of Nicely Dunn Handyman Services. Scott worked me into his schedule in a timely way. He and Clint arrived promptly on the scheduled day and they worked efficiently and neatly to do all the jobs/tasks that have been piling up around my older home. They are neat, communicative and helpful problem solvers. An interior living room shutter had been broken for several years and Clint repaired it so it looks brand new. A broken window latch was replaced to match the latches on the other windows in my kitchen. The stucco/cement repair looks great and the work was down in a professional manner. Scott also gave me some advice on who to contact to repair some rotting exterior windows. I particularly appreciated Scott helping my husband to get a stubborn cantilevered patio umbrella to work. We were concerned that our only option was to get the umbrella restrung (at a high price quoted at an outdoor furniture store.) But Scott resolved the problem and saved us lots of money. I highly recommend Nicely Dunn Handyman Services and I will definitely be using them on future projects.

I thought it simply outstanding that Scott took time to dash off a couple quick emails to me, within 10 minutes of my initial inquiry, to send me in the right direction (and not to his company). In my experience, most contractors would not have responded in the first place if my need didn't match their ability to provide services. Scott was both timely and professional, for which I was very appreciative.

I have asked many service providers to try to fix this laundry chute over the past 10 years, and nobody could or would. The sheet metal inside the chute was warped and the cavity inside was too narrow for clothes to slide down easily. Nicely Dunn came up with a creative and unique solution to this very unique problem.

I purchased the storm door at Home Depot and Scott picked it up and installed it. He and and an assistant spent about 2.5 hours mounting and truing the door. Afterwards he cleaned up and placed the old storm door in the alley for trash miners to pick up. I'm satisfied with the work.

We were very pleased with the speed and quality of the work. The workers were very conscientious and detail-oriented. They called themselves the "most neat freak handymen in the metro" and they lived up to that self-proclaimed title. The job was performed at the price quoted and we would recommend them to others.
