Completed job in one day. They had to do some additional work on the deck to prevent nails from sticking into new roofing, and had to redo some work on the deck. Good at keeping me informed about process, and responsive to fix issue that occurred in replacing deck. Good experience. I'd recommend them for roofing.

I called on 8/19/11 and made an appointment for 8/24/11. Dick was on time. He inspected the roof and said we didn't need a new roof at this time. Kaufman no longer does repairs on this type of roof, but he took the time to make recommendations about what needs to be done now and what kind of roof to install in the future.

I was very pleased. Their charges were reasonable. They did extra work for me without charging. They were very professional. They were on time. They were very pleasant. The owner came out and gave an estimate. They were very friendly and trustworthy. Even their employees think highly of them.

My roof was damaged by hail. The insurance company had a set amount to pay for the roof, and I feel as though this company skimped on the quality of the roof to make a greater profit for themselves. I had an issue with this company back in November that they were able to resolve, but I continue to have problems with their company and the quality of the roof they had installed. I called Bob, the owner, & he hasn?t come out yet. They stopped by once but I wasn?t home. The shingles are so thin and cheap, it?s pathetic. GAF is supposedly a superior shingle, and it?s the type of shingle that?s on my roof. I asked about a different shingle but Kauffman convinced me to go with the GAF shingle. They never finished the garage, and when they came out to fix it they bent out the aluminum on my siding. They installed a wind turbin on the garage and when a heavy snow fell, all the snow went through into my garage. There are so many things that need to be fixed, but they have been unresponsive. When it rains, on the west side of the house, the rain goes behind the gutter so the sump pump is running continuously with all the rain that we?ve had, which eventually will probably rot the wood. I have a peak on my home, which they put a channel on. Bob said the channel was steal, but while I was up there I saw the channel was aluminum. While I was up on the roof, I also noticed that they had jammed all the pieces of the roofing into the rain gutter, which clogged the gutter (I ended up having to clean this out). At the end of the downspout I have silver mineral residue coming from the shingles, which I?m fearful might ruin my lawn. They installed 6 ventilators on my roof. The roof shingles are coming off into my lawn. I just want these problems fixed.

Everything went fine. I have no complaints.

Company was able to fit us in great with their schedule but ended up being late on two occasions. Forgot to ask them to do the whole roof when they arrived on the first trip, so had to split up the job in two trips but they gave us a break on the fee. On the first trip they removed a problem ice and water area in the back of the house as I had asked them to, great job. On the second trip they did a thorough roof clearing that removed two other water pooling areas and ice and snow all along the roof. They explained everything they did. I'd be careful about asking for their advice regarding roof insulation, however -- on a separate occasion, a man said attic airflow wasn't an issue for ice dams and actually suggested heat cables! Maybe trying to generate a little extra business? Ridiculous.

Workers arrived on time and did a good job. Price was high but reasonable given the going rates. I would recommend and use again.

We called Kaufman on Monday morning and they were at our home performing the work on Tuesday afternoon. Before beginning work they called our cell and gave us an estimate of time and expense and gave us options based on our budget, which was much appreciated. This company is willing to work wiith you and cap their work based on your budget, focusing on the most important areas. We did not have to be home for them to complete the work. A crew of two men for three hours and our roof was cleared. They used a spiking method versus steam, and we found no problems with this method. They have used this method for four generations and stand by this method. They work fast and get the job done. Very courteous and cleaned up the front walk after the job. No complaints from us. I will recommend this company to anyone I encounter complaining about an ice dam problem. Office staff were very patient and explained the process to us very well. Payment is simple as Kaufman sends a bill. This company was by far the best value we found out there. (Beware: some companies are charging $450/hour and from what we experienced, you definitely don't need to pay that sort of rate to get the job done)

Delay time was about a week, but they forecasted that when I first called. They were supposed to call ahead of time before coming over, but the phone call and the truck arrived at the same time. Time estimate was two hours, took a little more but close enough. They accidentally damaged an adjacent canopy frame but agreed to take the repair cost out of the bill. When the bill arrived that had not been done, but after I called they agreed to the reducing the amount due by the cost of the damaged pole (only $25). Overall, a good job.

Left message, they called back next business day. Said they could come the following week, or possibly sooner, due to heavy work load, could not commit to day or time, but would call when they were on their way. I got no call, but happened to come home as they were finishing. Left a large pile of snow by kitchen door, and back door. They had asked if I wanted in cleared, I said yes, but they just cleared enough so the kitchen door could be opened. Dogs in yard were at risk from throwing ice off of roof. I would not have left them out if I had known they were coming.We called and asked them to come back and clear the door, they said they would come that day, but never did. We cleared it ourselves and canceled. Snow and ice removal from roof was complete. Price was several hundred more than similar service neighbors had done

We had ice damns built up around our roof top and large icicles hanging. We had water coming in the house through 3 different windows. We were able to stop the water by inserting flashing over our windows but this was a very short term fix as the water would find other ways to get in. I called Kaufman's at 11am on Tuesday and they were at our house by 11:40 on Wednesday and were done clearing all of the snow and ice in an hour. The guys were courteous and he explained exactly what he was going to do and showed me what was done afterwards. I appreciate how quickly they worked and my water and ice problem was resolved. They are professional and responsive and I will definately use this company in the future if this happens again (although he told me how to avoid it going forward so hopefully I can follow his instructions!) The first hour was quoted at $268 and then it would be $84 per hour per person. This was looking like it would be very, very expensive when 3 guys showed up to do the work!! but we had to have it done to minimize the damage to our house. The guys assured me they would work fast with high quality and aim to be done under 2 hours and they were done in an hour - I appreciate that they didn't milk it out so that I had to pay more. They came in and got the job done for as low cost as possible. Very much appreciated especially given this is a holiday week!!!!

I was told by another gutter company that the gutter I wanted to install to prevent stucco and water damage to a window was impossible. I called Kaufman because they had installed the roof directly above the wall. I thought they might have some insight into either the sloping of the roof or gutter installation to solve my problem. They sent the owner out right away, he said it definitely could be done, and agreed to do it for cost. They completed the work almost immediately and it worked perfectly.

The estimate was a fair price considering the other bids and the special skill needed to do the job. The work was done by the contractor. The workers discovered that the old underlying roofs had not been removed by the prior roofer. When they were removed the material they discovered that a drain scupper had been closed and needed to be opened and reinstalled. We were advised and a reasonable price was added for the unexpected work. The work was done timely, when the crew left everything was cleaned. The scupper was well done and tied into the downspout.

Job went well from start to finish.

Took one day. The crew was very polite and thorough. Excellent cleanup afterwards.

I called Kaufman roofing on Monday and received their written estimate on Thursday. We talked on the phone Friday and they were there Monday to install. I couldn't ask for prompter more courteous service. They were GREAT!

Everything went well. We had actually gotten an estimate at least one year ago, but they still honored the same quote.

They were very responsive and got to the job in a couple of days with in calling. We had ice dams. They were even helped us with follow up issues. They were honest and trustworthy.

It went great. I called at 10:00 a.m. and they were out and working by 11:30 a.m. They worked for a little more than an hour, cleared all of the troublesome ice dams and even shoveled and swept up the snow that fell on the front porch. They billed us through the mail instead of demanding payment up front. They were honest and upfront about what needed to be done up on the roof and did not make us pay for more than was necessary.

They showed up on time. Their on location supervisor was super good and they cleaned up after themselves very well. They also protected the vegetation.

The service was great! They kept me updated on when they were coming out. If there was a delay, they informed me.

They were great. The price was reasonable.

The project was small and simple, but went very smoothly.

Not great. Estimate was to replace the flat roof in an identical fashion. However, all other contractors suggested other options which would lead to improvements in water run-off, insulation and would result in a longer lasting roof

They are always top notch. They are prompt, reliable, and reasonably priced.
