Description of Work: Complete tear off and reroof house and detached garage. GAF Timberline shingles. In and out in a day. Punctual, professional job. They are not the cheapest, but the price was reasonable and the work was excellent. I'm more interested in the quality of the work than the cheapest price.

Description of Work: Neighbors recommended Kaufmann to us to bid a new roof. We have a 100-year-old foursquare home with 3' eaves and no soffits. We were finishing rooms in the 3rd floor attic and needed to do an unvented, or hot roof, installation. Scott did a great job researching manufacturers who would warranty their shingles on an unvented installation. The work was completed on time and on budget. Kaufmann replaced some rotten plywood sheathing under the shingles on our front porch. This saved our porch last summer when a tree limb fell on it during the storms. Kaufmann quickly came and repaired the minor shingle damage from the tree.

Description of Work: We have Kaufman out every year to do maintenance on our slate roof. This time they replaced missing tiles, fixed loose ones, and fixed our gutters.

Description of Work: When Mr. Kaufman examined the porch roof, which we believed was the source of our leak, he found it to be sound. He discovered that our problem was caulking and the wood frame around the door out to the porch roof. His honesty and helpfulness were impressive. When we need roof work, Kaufman will be called first.

Description of Work: New fascia and soffits, new roofing, new gutters and downspouts. The roof, trim and gutters look great. No leaks even with the very heavy rains we have had lately. We are very satisfied and am happy that we chose Kaufman.

Description of Work: Cleared snow off roof. Large part unnecessarily cleared that had to then be shoveled off deck. Snow and ice clearing needed because of failure of heat cables that were poorly installed. Kaufman forgave large part of bill for snow clearance when I complained. I was somewhat satisfied with resolution but disappointed in poor initial installation.

Description of Work: They redid the cables that were running through my gutters and ice dame. They did a wonderful job. They were responsive and I think they did a very good job at a fair price.
