I don?t think they could have done a better job. They did a perfect job. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We were very pleased with their service. They have great customer service. The fire place ended up not working after the first day, so a technician arrived the very next day (in a snowstorm) to make it right. I would recommend this company to others.

We are not sure yet if they fixed the problem. It doesn't totally seem like it but I don't think it is a negative on their part. The guy seemed very knowledgeable. I wouldn't put it as a negative thing about them if it doesn't work. We are not positive that it is fixed. I thought they were very prompt. They let me know what they felt was wrong before I made decisions. He was very personable, he did a very good job, and he was very neat and clean. I would recommend them.

What a great customer experience! I expected to take some time off work for the service call, but he came out late Saturday afternoon. A part needed to be replaced. He took the time to show me how he tested for the part so I could understand why it needed to be replaced. While he had the fireplace apart, he offered to clean the inside of the glass. I was also able to ask some questions about maintenance on the fireplace. My expectations were exceeded and I will definitely call them again for any future needs.

My husband and I visited the Firespace Inc show room in Burnsville and spoke with Donna. She showed us some models that they had on hand and we discussed cast iron vs steel, etc. She was very knowledgeable about the subject and I was able to look at many examples of their work. We quickly set up a time for Norm to come out and speak with my husband and take a look at where this would be going. We live in an older home - it was built in 1886 so we weren't sure that there'd be room (smaller rooms) but Norm found the perfect wood stove for our living room. We got a quote and after my husband and I talked about it, a deposit was made and we got a date for installation. The installation went as smooth as butter. Norm and Dennis were pro's and worked around any challenges that a cranky old house like this can come up with. At all times both men were very conscientious about keeping things neat which i appreciated because we were having an out of town guest come that night. Norm came back a couple of days later to put some roof jacks on the chimney as they used more pipe than they thought they would. Donna even steered me towards their clearance rack to choose a hearthpad - which she didn't have to do but it saved some dough - so thanks Donna! The hearthpad looks great in our living room. We are very happy with our wood stove and recommend Donna and Norm at Firespaces Inc whole heartedly . We did a considerable amount of looking around and visiting various places before choosing to go with Firespaces. They did an excellent job and were professional from start to finish. If you are shopping around for a wood stove like we were,and are considering who to go to, please give these folks a try. You'll be very happy with the results.

Outstanding - I simply could not find better service. Norm was honest, fast and a pleasure to have working in my home.

This is a family business and Donna and Norm are GREAT to work with. After giving us his initial quote, which he only did after a thorough home visit and inspection, Norm suggested an alternative proposal with a floor model he had - saving us significant $$$. This is a breath of fresh air. The installation went very smoothly and we love the new fireplace, We can't wait for a vicious Minnesota winter to really enjoy being toasty warm as we watch TV.

WHILE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN THE LEAST EXPENSIVE, THEY ARE CERTAINLY WITHIN THE RANGE OF OTHER VENDORS. HOWEVER, THE AMOUNT OF TIME NORM SPENT WITH MY HUSBAND IN THE STORE AND AT OUR HOUSE TO HELP DETERMINE HOW WE COULD INSTALL A GAS INSERT IN WHAT IS A FAIRLY LARGE WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE IS WHAT SOLD US ON WORKING WITH THEM. THIS IS A SMALLER OUTFIT AND SO WHILE IT MAY BE A BIT HARDER FOR THEM TO FOLLOW UP, THE LEVEL OF SERVICE WE'VE RECEIVED HAS BEEN EXCELLENT. NORM DID NOT TRY TO SELL US THE MOST EXPENSIVE INSERT, EITHER.

HE WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. HE FOUND AND REPAIRED PROBLEMS WITH ANOTHER CONTRACTORS WORK.

THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE, NORM PETERSON, WAS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING WHEN CONFRONTED ON THE FACT THAT I WAS TOLD THE PERMIT WOULD COST $100 BUT IN FACT I WAS NOT CHARGED THE PERMIT COST BUT $100 ''FLAT FEE'' AND YET ANOTHER $100 SURCHARGE! A FLAT FEE, BY DEFINITION IS A SET AMOUNT AND CANNOT BE ARBITRARILY UPPED ANOTHER $100 BECAUSE HE DECIDED HIS COSTS WERE TOO MUCH. ADDITIONALLY, THE REMOTE THEY INSTALLED STARTED BEEPING CONSTANTLY WITHIN A WEEK OF INSTALLATION. I WAS SO TRAUMATIZED BY DEALING WITH CHARACTERS THAT I TURNED IT OFF ENTIRELY RATHER THAN HAVE TO TALK TO THEM AGAIN. BUT IT IS NOW WINTER AND I NEED IT TO WORK. WHAT I WANT IS 1. THE $100 EXTRA FEE RETURNED TO ME AND 2. THE REMOTE FIXED OR A FULL REFUND AND AN APOLOGY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I WENT TO SEVERAL PLACES. WHAT I LIKED ABOUT BURNSVILLE STOVE & FIREPLACE WAS THAT THEY LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED/NEEDED AND DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME SOMETHING WITH HIGHER BTU OUTPUT. JIM HJEMVICK CAME TO THE HOUSE TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS THAT SAME NIGHT, WORKED WITH ME ON THE PRICE, AND I BOOKED HIM FOR THE JOB.

THE SALESMAN, NORM, DIDN''T TRY TO STEER ME TOWARDS ANY PARTICULAR MODEL. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE ONES I WAS INTERESTED IN AND HAD POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM ALL. HE THREW IN A HEARTH RISER FOR FREE SO THE FIREPLACE IS OFF THE GROUND AND EASIER FOR ME TO REACH THE CONTROLS. THE WHOLE PROCESS IS TAKING LONGER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD - I PURCHASED THE FIREPLACE 8-21, IT IS 9-17 NOW. THE INSTALL IS NOT YET COMPLETE. I DIDN''T KNOW I HAD TO ARRANGE FOR THE CITY INSPECTION (ALTHOUGH THE FEES ARE ALREADY PAID) UNTIL I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE STORE. I GUESS THEY CAN''T COMPLETE THE INSTALL UNTIL THE GAS HOOKUP IS INSPECTED. OVERALL, SO FAR I AM STILL SATISFIED.
