They come out to your house and bring sample books. Their representative, Michael who came out is very knowledgeable about window treatments. He helped us find just the right product for our window treatments. They come back with the product and install them.

The blinds/valance were installed incorrectly (in March). It took 3 weeks to get our calls returned about the incorrect installation. They then canceled the re-installation three times over the next several months (each time blaming it on getting the wrong parts from distributor and never taking any responsibility for the mistakes). Our blinds were not correctly installed until mid-June. From the time we ordered the blinds to the time they were finally installed correctly, took over five months and only after we went to the head of the company. It was a very frustrating experience, especially since we chose one of the more expensive vendors. The blinds look good, but it was a huge pain getting to the finished product.

I was initially concerned about not visiting their showroom. But in the end, I found that Michael brought plenty of choices and having him in my house was very helpful where he could see the window itself was incredibly helpful. It saved me a lot of time and explaining. So I'm all for the in-home experience now.

Michael, who came to my home, was very personable and knowledgeable. Although the price was more than twice as much as mail order, which I also considered, I decided to go ahead because installation, fabric quality, and expertise seemed worth it. Although the order was placed August 30th, he confirmed that it was one of the slowest times of the year. I then heard nothing for two months. When he installed the shades, Michael seemed very anxious to leave and whisked away the invoice even while I was writing my check, substituting a less-detailed one marked "paid." I later realized that the excess fabric, which was to be returned to me per the order, was missing. He now blames that on his fabricator and offers to order extra fabric for me at his cost, but I have paid enough. The workmanship is good, but the shades are a bit skimpy. I would have preferred them a bit longer, even at extra cost. I am displeased by his lack of forthrightness about the extra fabric.

MICHAEL WAS A FANTASTIC SALESMAN. HE WAS WILLING TO SIT DOWN WITH US, LISTEN TO WHAT WE WANTED, AND COME UP WITH OPTIONS OTHER THAN DULL, BLAND BEIGE (WE HAVE GREEN CARPET AND WHITE FURNITURE AND WANTED TO BE ABLE TO REPLACE THE CARPET IN THE FUTURE WITHOUT HAVING TO REPLACE THE DRAPES AGAIN). HE WAS MUCH BETTER THAN MOST OF THE OTHER SALESPEOPLE WE TALKED TO. IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED FOR THE DRAPES TO ARRIVE (8 WEEKS VERSUS THE 2-4 ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED), DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH THEIR SUPPLIER, AND THEY DIDN'T DO A GREAT JOB OF COMMUNICATING THIS TO US. HOWEVER, WHEN THE DRAPES ARRIVED, WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS AND HOW THEY LOOKED.

TOOK THREE TRIPS TO BRING CORRECT CURTAIN ROD, TWO TRIPS TO INSTALL CORRECT VALANCES.
