Chimney Doctors

Ryan came out for a cleaning and inspection and didn't know what he was getting into dealing with an engineer for an owner. He rose to the challenge, answered all my detailed questions, performed the said work, and ran down a range of options for repair. I anticipate contracting with this company just on the basis of Ryan's great work and rapport.

In a word, fantastic. We will be replacing our wood burning fireplace with a gas one, and needed a cleaning beforehand. Kelly and Lindsay bent over backwards to get the cleaning scheduled by the installation date. Zach, the technician, arrived today and did his magic. The job was done quickly, and he left the place spotless. We'd definitely use them again.

It took multiple calls and followup by me to get the job done. Quality of work was excellent and price seemed fair.

After knocking a brick loose during the inspection which caused a dust explosion in my living room the technician said that they would clean up the mess at their expense and that they wouldn't charge me for the inspection. They did arrange for clean up, but then wanted me to pay for it. After several requests for a proposal to do the chimney repair, they finally called and said that they were ready to send it, but wanted payment for the inspection first. I said that i was told and the paperwork left behind showed that there would be no charge for the inspection. When I asked approximately what the cost would be for the repairs I was told that they wouldn't give me that information until I paid for the inspection. This is an incredibly unscrupulous company, and I would avoid them like the plague.

They never got back to me with an estimate to replace my chimney flue, even after emailing them.

A man showed up, took pictures, and I never heard from them again. I emailed the company and they said it could take up to a week to get an estimate. I never heard a word.

They called me and said they didn't want to do the job.

Very well. Steve showed up on time, while the regular home inspection was taking place. Steve inspected 3 chimney flues (2 fireplaces plus the furnace exhaust flue), and the outside of the chimney above the roofline. The inspection turned up several serious defects that might have cost me $15,000 to repair. Chimney Doctors provided me with a detailed report, including photos of the defects, and estimates to repair them, which I was able to use in negotiating with the sellers.

The cleaning was fast and thorough. The inspection was very detailed and eye-opening. Much more money than we expected the repair quote to be, so we have placed our repair on hold for now.

Excellent service, completed in a few hours, reasonable price. Service person advised us on which covers to use and how best to install. Would definitely recommend.

They did a really good job. They were prompt, professional, and the office staff was great too. They were wonderful about cleaning up. We did have a freak rainstorm and water leaked into my house, and I would have appreciated them being a bit more aware of the weather. It wasn't a lot of damage, and I was able to clean it up without it becoming a big deal. When the work was done, I didn't get a walk through or photos of the finished product. I have had inspectors come and look over everything, and it all turned out just fine. Overall, they did great, and were great to work with.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He informed us of what needed to be done and only did what was necessary and gave us steps for saving money in the future. The chimney doctors will be my go to chimney people for the rest of the time in my home

It was great - they did a great job of explaining everything they were looking at and ok the time to thoroughly examine the fireplace. I was very impressed with their professionalism and dedication making sure the fireplace was safe to operate.

I had Chimney Doctors out to inspect my chimney. Steve was very thorough in his assessment. Unfortunately, my chimney had sustained a fire. I had a very large wood insert which needed to be removed before the chimney could be repaired. The insert weighed about 300 lbs. Mike and James did a fine job of removing it without damaging anything. Chimney Doctors does quality brick/chimney work in a timely manner. Thank you, Steve, Mike and James!

The inspector was professional and provided excellent feedback on the original construction, quality of materials and the current condition. He came in with drop cloths and did the visual inspection. He setup his equipment and completed the video work. After reviewing the video recordings, he provided his analysis. As it turned out, the fireplaces and chimney stack were in excellent condition and built very well. No repair issues or concerns to discuss. He was very knowledgeable about fireplaces and related topics. No cleaning was required. He left no evidence of his visit (debris or smudges). This home was a recent purchase and we needed to know if the fireplaces are safe to use.

The estimate was competitive. He was on time and was able to answer all my questions. He was willing to come out on a timely fashion. He came out and told me what needed to be done.

Wen well. We had an older cap that was not approved by the city code, ao he recommended selling it on-line.

I had Air Pro to my house in the fall to sweep and inspect my chimneys, and was impressed with their timeliness, professionalism and price. I have allergies to cats, dogs, dust and dust mites. I'd just moved into my new house house, and my allergies started bothering my the first night I slept here. I knew the previous owners had long-haired pets, so I asked the Air Pro guys to look into my air ducts. Using a mirror and flashlight, they showed me what the inside of one of the ducts looked like and it was, frankly, disgusting - completely caked all around with hair and dust and other debris. I'd heard that air duct cleaning was a scam at worst, and unnecessary at best, so I didn't commit to doing anything at the time. But the constant allergy problems, 3 colds in 2 months, and plain old common sense won over in the end. I figured that if I wasn't getting bombarded with the allergens in my ducts, at the very least I was probably going through furnace filters at an unreasonable rate. I had AirPro out to clean the ducts. Again, they were timely and professional and had the job done in a few hours. Perhaps it is a coincidence (although I don't believe that), but I haven't gotten a cold since, and my allergies bother me much less than they did before I had the duct cleaning work done. I'm very glad I had Air Pro out to do the work, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

He was very thorough, on time, and professional. He does a very good went beyond the allotted estimated time. I am very impressed with how thorough he is. He answered all of my questions and was very patient.

I just bought a house and my inspector told me to have the fireplaces and chimney cleaned, and to have chimney caps installed, so I called Air Pro. A representative got back to me promptly, and was able to schedule the work for later in the week. 2 Air Pro representatives arrived, cleaned the fireplaces and chimney, inspected the chimney, and got up on the roof with the expectation of installing chimney caps. They explained the work they did and what they had found. I always think it is a good sign of a company when you call them over with the expectation of paying them to do some work, and after assessing the situation, tell you that the work doesn't actually need to be done. That turned out to the the case with the chimney caps - the inspector was mistaken - there were actually adequate chimney caps installed. The Air Pro representatives were both very professional and courteous, and left my house just as clean as it had been before they did the work. All in all, a good experience.

Steve (owner) gave us an estimate to replace the crown on our double chimney. We accepted, and he started the job 2 weeks later. He arrived later in the day and got right to work. He removed the old crown and a faux flue, framed in the new crown, and added cement. Worked into the evening until the job was done. Covered with a tarp to dry. Came back 2 days later to remove the frame and put on the Chimney Caps. Looks great. I would definitely hire Steve Trumble/Air-Pro again. He is very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. Very professional and responsive to phone calls and emails.

Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even though he could ultimately not fix our chimney he referred us to someone who could and I would definitely call him again.

Within 15 minutes of scheduling the appointment I had to cancel because my husband had already set something up with another company. I'm sorry to say that after trying to make me second guess my husbands decision he hung up on me! I had intended to request his services for some other work that I needed but didn't get a chance because he abruptly hung up on me. No goodbye, just, I hope you checked out whoever you're using because there are only a few people who are qualified to clean chimneys, and then click! He hung up. I was stunned and happy that I hadn't ask him to do anything else.
