Angell Aire Heating & Air Conditioning

I received same day service to fix my A/C. The company sent two technicians who quickly diagnosed a problem I had caused when installing a new thermostat a few months prior. They fixed the problem in less than an hour at a fair price.

Craig Angell and his crew responded immediately after the fire happened to survey the damage and help us to decide what needed to be done. Craig helped us work with the insurance company to determine what would need replacement. Because of the extensive smoke damage, it was agreed that the entire heating and cooling system as well as the duct work would need to be replaced. Since we were replacing the entire system, Craig advised us to add an air source heat pump to the new system in order to take advantage of favorable off-peak electric rates that the power company offers on such equipment. After examining the benefits of a heat pump, it became clear that it would pay for itself in about 3 years because of the savings in propane gas which is very costly in our area. Craig then proceeded to give us a bid for the work and it compared very favorably to other bids we recieved. After we totally gutted the house and cleaned and sealed the framing, Craigs employees proceeded with the installation. His people were always there when they said they would be, offering helpful suggestions and explanations to us as the work progressed and finishing the work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a heating and AC professional.

Crew arrived on time at 8:00 am, had old system out and new system in and running by 2:00 pm. They cleaned up, removed and disposed of the old funrnace and air conditioner as agreed. We were very pleased with their work and courtesy. When jneeding to use a torch to join new lines, they warned us that the smoke detectors might go off but had a couple guys fanning away the smoke to minimize this. Angell Aire gave us the most competative price about $1,000 less than another company quoting the same equipment. Ron was very helpful and availalbe when neeidng more information to help us make up our mind on what kind of system we wanted.

Called for a repair to the furnace which was 19 years old. Found the control board was in disrepair and cost to replace was $500. We discussed options and I decided the best course was to replace the furnace as it was near the end of it's useful life. They were able to install a new unit in only one day and I was never without heat. They took the time to explain all my options as well as make suggestions about filters and how they effect the performance of the furnace. I am very satisfied and have had a great experience.

They disposed off the old furnace. They did give me an estimate before installing the furnace. They seemed right on track with the estimate. They talked about the rebates. They gave me a good understanding of the products and which ones seemed to fit the rebate plan the best. The installation went really smoothly. They had 2 guys out here. They replaced it within a number of hours and they seemed very professional when they were here. So I was very happy. I would use their services in the future too and in fact, they are currently at my house doing a re-inspection of the furnace.

It went great. We were worried because we got an energy audit of our house and they found that the CO2 was slighty high inside the furnace. Angell Aire cleaned it and rechecked the CO2 and it was ok. Their service was reasonably priced.

Ron did a great job with providing the estimate and answering my follow-up questions. Due to an opening in their installation schedule, they were able to install the new system 3 business days after I gave them the go-ahead. Scott, the installer, arrived at 7:30 A.M., as scheduled. I was told installation would likely be completed by 3:30 P.M.; in fact, it was done by 2 P.M. The crew was quick and professional. Installation of the furnace required cutting into my drywall basement ceiling for the intake/exhaust piping. They exceeded my expectations by making only two square holes small enough to be covered up by air-return registers, so no further repair to the drywall was required. They provided the air-return grates. Scott completely explained the new controller (thermostat). I couldn't have asked for an easier installation.

It went well. Mark showed up on time both times, explained the problem and solution in detail, and did what he needed to do to get the furnace fixed.

Two years ago I had a problem with my air conditioner and at the time got numerous quotes, Angell Aire had the best quote after five quotes. I decided at the time not to replace the unit, but to just do some repairs and I did not use Angell Aire. So this month the air conditioner starts to have problems and I decide to replace it. This time I only did a few quotes and Angell Aire was the best price. Additionally, they were willing to come to my house early in the morning to discuss a quote. They were also willing to be flexible and come to install that same week rather than waiting until the following week. So in short, they were not only the best on price, but also the best on flexibility.

Overall, the project went well, but was far more challenging than either of us thought, since it was unclear if the winterization process was done correctly when they started. While it clearly wasn't a problem they created, they were committed to getting my system fixed and the heat turned on.

I called the company. They asked when I would be there. I told them only in the morning and they said someone would be there within two hours. Scott called me when he was on his way and was there within two hours, fixed the problem and left.

I called them on a Monday and they were at my house the following day. They were about 20 minutes late but did call to let me know they'd be late, it was no big deal at all but thats why I gave them a B in that category.

Very quick to schedule a convenient time for the tuning service. Mark arrived exactly on time and gave me some useful advice about where to purchase a new filter at a reasonable price. He was professional, worked quickly and gave me a summary about what he had found was in need of cleaning.

Rep was very professional in their answering of my questions. When confirming my location for the estimate, he realized and noted that they don't service the Minneapolis area due to the coverage by their local dealer and local licensing requirements? Once that was out of the way, he was very detailed in confirming my request for validation of market pricing for an installed Bryant high efficiency furnace. I would choose to use this vendor again IF they could service my area (I'm still currently in Minneapolis).

The installation was scheduled for 10 AM; however, Mark was able to come about an hour and a half early. He called first to see if that was okay, leaving a message when I didn't answer the phone. He was pleasant, took off his shoes before coming upstairs, told me what he was doing, how to work the new thermostat, and inquired about the water hose for the A/C (It is hooked up just a little different than most.). He let me know that all was good and he would have put in a new filter had I had one handy. He wrote down the size I would need, which I already knew, but with it written in an obvious place, I won't be forgetting. I appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. I would definitely use this company again. He appreciated my business, thought to call ahead to get the job done earlier, and I like companies that show that appreciation with their attitude. Eager for one's business, even if it was a small job.

We could not have been more pleased with the service we received. Our 20 year old air conditioner went out and I called Angell Aire after consulting Angie's List. They came out the same day and we set up installation for a new system including a furnace, air conditioner hybrid heat pump system and humidifier (which we had previously researched). It was installed quickly and professionally the next day. Our installer took plenty of time to explain the system and answer all of our questions. Everything was left very neat and clean. We all very happy with the system as well as the prompt and professional service- we would recommend them to anyone!

Service person was friendly and professional and removed shoes in the house. A/C had leak and no refrigerant, so it was refilled and leak fixed. I thought the price was a little high.

I gave this company a call and they were able to work me into their schedule within three hours. My air conditioning was not working, so he turned it on for me. He did a thorough job cleaning it. I thought that the location of the business was convenient for me.

Excellent. Ron spent a lot of time initially going over the options and wasn't a high pressure salesman. The workers arrived on time, completed the work in the time specified and did an excellent job cleaning up after the job was completed. I was especially impressed that they sent me confirmation that the inspection has been completed. Highly recommended.

The AC kept locking out, they found out that the zone system needed to be updated. They came back and replaced it at cost. I couldn't have asked for a better company.

Always on time, always send out reminder. Guys are always nice. Usually you get the same person.
