Angell Aire Heating & Air Conditioning

Excellent service. Angell Aire did a professional and thorough job for this project. Due to a miscommunication, Angell thought all the job entailed was to connect gas lines to two fireplaces. However, the lines need to be pressure tested first. Since the Tech did was not equipped to pressure test, they had to return, but they did not charge me for the first, wasted trip. The next trip, they successfully capped and pressurized the gas lines. After a city inspector confirmed the pressure test, Angell returned to connect the lines to the fireplace. The technicians were courteous, communicated well, and did a good job.

Everything turned out fine. They were responsive and show up on time. They do a good job.

Angell Aire was very prompt and they courteous and professional. They gave us a good quote on our units. They were very responsive when they came out. If it hadn't been an emergency I might have considered using them. Their quote was quite reasonable.

Technician was there promptly, did a nice job, and even gave some tips and advice for handling the humidifier. Wasn't exactly sure of the Angie's List Big Deal so I did have to print off the certificate of purchase. Supposedly they will contact my in the spring when it is time to book for the AC.

Furnace out, below 0 weather. Were out same day to repair.

.I was scrambling to look for someone to replace my furnace because a technician from a different company who was tuning up my furnace found a crack in the heat exchanger. I requested quotes from four companies. Two of the companies gave me much higher quotes. I was down to Angell Aire and another local company, both reputable companies on Craigslist. The other company provide a higher quote but 10 year labor. Angell Aire had a lower quote with only 2 years labor. Depending on your specific circumstance, either would have been good choices. Craig, the owner, came to my house to provide a quote. What I like about Craig is that he seemed honest and didn't talk like a salesman. I really dislike interacting with salesman personalities. I found him to be honest and not trying to sell me a fancier product that I did not want. I also liked that I was doing business directly to the owner. He had various products but had a good sense for what I was looking for. I purchased a Goodman 95% efficiency furnace and AC from him. My AC was still working but also older and the price he quoted me made it worthwhile to get both furnace and AC replaced. I contacted Craig a few more times to ask questions after he gave me the quotes. He returned my calls and was patient with me. My final cost was a few hundred less than the cost of service because of energy rebates. Angell Aire did all the paperwork for me and sent it off for me. A few weeks later, I received rebate checks from the energy companies. I liked that I didn't have to deal with the paperwork. I misplaced the receipt and wanted another copy for my records. The office manager was able to email me a copy of the receipt. The father and son, Scott and Tory, that came to my house to do the job did good work. Phil is the guy that handles a lot of the calls during the day. He sounds busy and gruff but he gets things taken care of.

It all began with a furnace checkup earlier this month that revealed cracking in the heat exchanger and furnace shutdown. Using a special camera, I was shown the problem during the evaluation. His report recommended repair or furnace replacement. Two years ago a furnace tuneup revealed cracking was beginning, so everything seemed legitimate. For several reasons we decided on a replacement. After researching dealers of 3 brands of furnaces, and deciding on Bryant, I then sought bids from two additional Bryant dealers. My research included several on-line HVAC information sites, BBB, Consumers Report, and Angies list. Three of the 5 dealers interviewed used the Manual J heat loss program which assured me of getting the right size furnace.....not too small and not too large. The program is time consuming, detailed and was no charge from any of the three dealers. The old furnace was 125,000 BTU with 80% efficiency. Our new furnace is 80,000 BTU and so far has been performing perfectly. The old AC was 3.5 ton single stage. The new AC is 3 ton two stage. The installation was completed in 7 hours. I visited with them every hour or so, making sure things were progressing smoothly. Overall the research with interviews took me 25 to 30 hours, but in the end we are very pleased with the results.

Our furnace was red-tagged at 3:00 PM by Homesmart repair contractor on a Tuesday. I called three heating and cooling service providers from Angie's List. Craig Angell changed his schedule to meet at my home that evening at 6:00 PM. He performed a computer based energy assessment, measuring each window in our home. He provided recommendations for our home heating requirements. Two days later, Thursday, the furnace was installed by the Angell Aire Team. The Team was on time, very professional and covered the carpet for a path for the new furnace and removing the old furnace using our walk out. A Team member set-up the wifi thermostat and router. He clearly explained all the functions on the touch screen menu. Angell Aire handled all the rebate submissions to our local utility providers. We received a neat package with all our documentation with a table of contents including the equipment registration which they did on our behalf. One word describes the experience: awesome. Angell Aire is excellent across all categories of service and therefore highly recommended.

The technician, Scott, was punctual (early actually), courteous and entirely professioal. I was very satisfied with Scott and the work he performed.

I think they are very responsive. We have worked with them before and find them to be honest and trustworthy. We feel we get a fair price from them. They show up pretty quickly when whenever need them.

Great price. Jason was very professional and knowledgeable. Gave a summary of everything he did and how our furnace and air conditioning based on their age are performing. Fortunately, we had a good check up and he didn't try to sell us any replacement parts that we didn't need. Highly Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only one little glitch in scheduling thru Angie's List. We ended up having to call and schedule the appointment. perfect installation. angell aire put in our heat pump and furnace three years ago for a very good price without discounting their exceptional service. they are awesome. called to add vents. on time. took longer than they thought based on difficulty of adding vents but angell aire did not raise the price. this is an outstanding company with excellent products and services.A++

Mr Angell talked to me on the phone about air exchanger replacement costs and followed up with an e-mail confirming costs and date he could do the work. His crew arrived on the 8/1 and had finished the work 2 hours later. We could not have been more pleased with the work, product or the professional manner in which the work was done.

That went very well and I was very pleased with them. They were very good. They were prompt. They answered my question. I knew him from before as he was my neighbor so that was one of the reasons I went with him. When I scheduled a quote we talked a lot about what I was looking for and he was familiar with my house so that helped a lot. They cleaned up after themselves. Before they left I asked some questions about the operation of furnace and air conditioner and they showed it to me and it was fine. I called around for quotes and they were right in the ball park and I had initially wanted to get a Trane system but Angell Aire had Bryant and I hadn’t had experience with them at all and I did a background research on Bryant and they were rated if not better than Trane. The price was same as everybody else’s. I was pleased with the quality of the service.

This is my second experience with Angell Aire (they installed a new, high efficiency furnace four years ago) and they repeated their high quality work this time as well. I called for an estimate and within two days Craig Angell arrived exactly on the appointed time. He was very knowledgeable about the products that would fit my requirements and even recommended a less expensive unit, explaining that it would fit my needs better. I ended up ordering a Bryant heat pump that was a companion unit to the Bryant high efficient furnace that Angell Aire installed previously and their pricing was very competitive compared to other bids I received. The work was scheduled only three days after I called to accept the bid and the installers arrived exactly on time. By coincidence, that installers were the same team that had installed my furnace and they did another great job. They were respectful of my house by carefully placing tarps down on all areas where they would walk and cleaned up their work area after they were done. They were friendly, polite, professional and completed the work quickly. More importantly, the installation was done perfectly and I am very happy with my new unit. I would recommend Angell Aire to anyone.

Craig Angell gave us many options to choose from, which was nice. All work was done on time, as bid , with excellent workmanship.

On time did the work quickly. We didn't need any additional work or parts. They were prepared to replace the thermostat, but did a good job informing us of the complexity due to the inclusion of our whole house vent/recirculation system. The current programmable thermostat was old but still functioning well. A new one would have required the purchase and install of two new circuit boards to be compatible with the newer version. They did a good job of giving us the info, and we decided that this was a "nice to have" but not worth that level of work at the time. Angell did the work required, didn't upcharge for additional items we didn't need, and helped us make a practical decision about a newer thermostat. I'll keep these guys in my Rolodex any day. They'll get the business when something big happens.

In my primary residence, they failed to replace a plug to the gas line which resulted in a slow gas leak in my house which could have been fatal to my family and pets due to inhilation or could have started a fire. I ended up calling the utility company with an emergency late at night and they confirmed gas in the house. I notified the company and they came out quickly, took responsibility for the mistake, repaired the problem and gave me a refund. So they handled it well. I've just lost confidence in their ability to do the work correctly the first time. And while everyone is ok, it could have easily not turned out well.

Owner, Craig, came out to look over situation and provided several options that would fit out needs. Communication and questions were always promptly answered. Removal of old equipment and installation of new was done by two Angell Aire employees that were impressive to watch work together. Very efficient and professional. Very conscientious of cleaning up after themselves. Explanation of new equipment and how to operate new thermostat was impressive as well. From beginning to end, very impressed.

We had a little communication in the beginning with the 1st scheduled date, they thought we needed a heat run moved when in fact we needed a cold air return moved. After the initial meeting, we did get another date scheduled after a few phone calls. The technician arrived at the agreed upon time. This was a little complicated task since the cold air return was in the middle of the floor where the wall was being removed. We opened up a soffit area in the basement to give them access to the floor underneath the area where we wanted the vent moved to. They put the needed returns in place and were done in about 2 hours. They did a great job and it was done exactly as we expected. We would definitely recommned Angell Aire.

They did a great job with the inspection. I also had them come back again yesterday, and they were able to resolve my problem in no time. His rates are very reasonable, and he is a very nice guy. There was one time where I had an issue and I called him. He just told me over the phone exactly what I needed to do to fix the problem. I would recommend him.

They came out timely and gave me an estimate, which was the lowest. The estimate was not as detailed as it could have been. They were on time to make the installation and completed the job in 2-3 hours. The job was completed professionally and as requested.
