Worked fast and didnt leave a mess. Trees were next to driveway and when they were done there was nothing left to pick up or move out of the way. The tree they trimmed looks fantastic!

The estimate and then the work went very well, on schedule and as agreed upon. Rick stopped by and inspected the problem trees. We decided together topping them was not a good option and decided to remove them completely. He was fine with me discussing the expense with my wife. When I called him back we were able to schedule with no delays. Rick and his assistant were on site as scheduled. They worked safely and efficiently as a team, with Rick doing the climbing and cutting and Warren doing the ground work. They then traded roles with Warren doing the stump grinding and Rick the support. Clean up was excellent including raking, sweeping and then blowing. Very professional, and very obvious they had worked many hours together. Zero issues with the close deck, the existing lawn or the nearby wall and driveway. I couldn't be happier with the final result. Minimal work will be required to re-seed the lawn. THANKS Rick and Warren for a job well done at a fair price.

The tree was right next to the house. Several decades ago it must have blown over but continued to grow. Limbs were 'helter skelter'. Rick handled it all quite well and the clean up was very good. Didn't occur when planned due to jobs ahead of ours had trees added. Not a big deal.

Rick went way above and beyond anything I could have every imagined. Very professional and knowledge of what needed to be done. My oak trees had a ton of dead, broken limps and looked horrible. He removed all the ugly and made my lake shore look and quot; fabulousand quot;. Amazing. Rick and his guy worked so hard and cleaned everything up. I was totally impressed with the amount of work that was done and the price at the end. I couldn't have hired a better guy to do the work. Cannot say enough good about the final result. Rick has my business for any future business.

We just purchased a lake home a few months ago and the landscape needed a lot of attention after several years of deferred maintenance. Since the view is everything on a lake, the trees had to be addressed first. I called A Cut Above Servces the afternoon of 8/15 (yesterday) for an estimate. Rick said he would be there in 45 minutes, and he was. He took a substantial amount of time listening to what I wanted, made some suggestions, and gave me a written estimate. After reviewing the estimate, I decided to eliminate the stump removal portion, and he was OK with that. When I asked how soon he could start the job, he said he would be there the next morning about 8:00-8:30. Next morning (today), there he was as promised - 8:15 with another person to assist. He didn't show up with just a pole tree trimmer. He had a truck, chipper, chain saw, ropes, and full tree-climbing equipment ready to scale and trim our largest trees. He climbed as high as 80 feet into our tallest trees and cleared out dead wood as he continued to shape and thin them. Lots of people can trim trees, but he displayed an and quot;organicand quot; or and quot;artisticand quot; quality in his work, leaving smaller branches here and there on lower limbs to filter the light. As he neared completion of each tree, he asked if there was anything else I wanted removed or cleaned up on the tree. I felt like an active participant. HIs assistant and quot;spottedand quot; him, pointed out things to address, and kept up with the clean-up, removing branches and limbs from the grounds, raking up all of the leaves, and feeding all into the chipper. They raked so well, the lawn looked better when they were done than when they started! They completed the job with a leaf blower, removing all of the leaves and sawdust from our porch, flower garden, sidewalk, driveway, and even the street, sweeping up the accumulated piles. The neighbors, too, must have liked their work, because I noticed that he got at least one aditional estimate from one of them.. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the job. I was so impressed, in fact, that I started this review a couple of hours ago while they were working. It is now 2:10 and they just left 10 minutes ago - almost 6 hours. I definitely got value for my money an our place looks fantastic!

I called him on 1/21/2011 to ask for an estimate. As he was only a mile from my mother in law's house, he drove over there and called me back in 10 minutes. He said he had no problem doing what I asked and it would be $600. I told him he had the job. I was to call him on Monday to set up the date and time. On Monday we agreed on Wednesday at 10 am. My wife and I arrived right at 10 am and he had just pulled into the driveway. He had to do the entire job himself as he could not find a helper on that short notice. He did an excellent job. All the brush was cleared away and the useable lumber was piled as neatly has he could get it.

They did a great job. When they were done they cleaned out all the landscaping and the roof on our house. He warned me that there might be some marks in the yard. The divets were very minimal. The trees look great and the clean up they performed after was above and beyond our expectations. I would definitely recommend them.
