They didn't charge us per squirrel, instead they charged us a flat rate. He was excellent. He put traps up and came over daily to see if the squirrels were gone, even on weekends. They were eating through the wood. He blocked off the holes to prevent them from building more nests. He caught the mother squirrel first.

We called early in the morning and we were told that a technician would be calling after 8:30 to schedule an appointment. The technician called around 9:10 and told us he would be there between 11-2. He came around 11:15. He walked around the house with my husband and inspected the siding, got up on the roof and inspected inside our home. He recommended that we set traps ourselves. He spent about 15 minutes writing up an estimate for the remaining repairs for $800 and told us that if we scheduled an appointment that same day, he could come back on the following Tuesday (it was a holiday weekend) to do the repairs. He called us back a week later and left a message to check in to see if we would like to go ahead with their service. We went with another provider instead.
Description of Work: The technician came out and for our money only provided an estimate for what needed to be done to our home to keep out mice in the future. He estimated that it would cost an additional $800 to keep our home mouse free in the future. Nothing was done to help us exterminate the mice in our home at the present time. We feel this was nothing but a costly estimate. Estimates should be done at no charge. We went with another service that estimated AND treated our problem for less than $120.

Wildlife Management Services Inc - Pest Control/Exterminating Wildlife Management Services Inc, just treats for like mice, or squirrels and such. I don't think they treat for bugs. They were effective, they actually fixed holes and sealed things, to get rid of the mice. They also do a preventive care. Did a good job, did what I wanted, good service.
Description of Work: Wildlife Management Services Inc - Pest Control/Exterminating We have used Wildlife Management Services Inc, for a few years in a roll, to come out and check for mice, and locate entries for mice. They were just here a few weeks ago. It was around $160, plus the Angie's deal.

They were great. They were really informative and overall responsive. I don't think there are a lot of people out there that do what they do but a lot of times you'll pay whatever to get rid of these critters. I would use them again and I have recommended them to others.

We found this company to be overpriced. The charge for assessing the situation was $200 and $69 for each squirrel caught. We expressed concern about how many squirrels we would be charged for, as there are many squirrels in our neighborhood. They told us trapping was the only way to remove the squirrels and that they could tell the difference between which squirrels were ours, and which belonged to the neighbor's house, and that we would not be charged for the neighbor squirrels. Without tagging each squirrel, there is no way they can be certain which squirrels were ours. Numerous websites on the subject explained that a female squirrel has an average litter of 2-4 babies. We were charged for a total of 6 squirrels, which is extremely unlikely, given that average litter is 2-4. Several websites also explained that removal of squirrels is ineffective, as new ones will move into the territory once others are gone. They also noted that baby squirrels should not be displaced from their mothers until they are fully weaned at about 12-14 weeks after birth. The company told us that the babies were big enough to survive on their own, but we questioned this because the babies were still nursing when the company trapped them. Some days two traps were baited, other days only one trap was baited. The number of traps set and whether or not they had bait seemed random and seemed to change day to day. We were also disappointed to find out that this was a national chain. We feel that they valued profit over customer service. It should also be noted that the technician came once, 15 minutes before his appointment time, and left before my husband came home. We never saw him again and just received daily bills on our front door. We found a broken window adjacent to where the siding was patched. Both my husband and I recall that the window was not broken before the service was performed.

It was so long ago that I do not remember a lot about the experience. Everything went fine with them. They did fix the problem. The price is a tricky one and you always never want to pay. The quality was great. They were punctual and here everyday. They were great in terms of professionalism. We will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: We used Wildlife Management Services Inc. We last used their services sometime in the fall of 2010. They did the job around the October of 2010. We had squirrels climbing into our attic space. They took care of that. They set traps initially and got all the animals out. They blocked up the holes then.

I needed someone to come remove a dead deer from my property. When I called, they offered to send someone that day, but I had them come out the next day instead. The service man called in the morning to let me know what time he'd be here. He called later to ask it if would be okay for him to come a little later because he had just gotten another job to do that day, and didn't want the deer in his truck longer than necessary. He came when expected and quickly removed the dead deer.

This company was great! We heard squirrels running around our attic one day, and called Wildlife Management Services. I didn't realize what a labor and time intensive job this would be! First they looked in the attic and determined that, yes, it was squirrels running around. They did a very thorough assessment of how they had entered, and other vulnerable spots that could let in birds, bats, mice or other squirrels (with itemized prices on how to fix them, if we wanted. This involved a lot of time on our roof and around our house, all with huge amounts of snow for them to deal with. They provided a folder with relevant information, and explanations of what they would do, so we knew what to expect. Each day they left a large post-it note on our porch informing us of what had been done and how many squirrels had been caught, as well as the next step. Everything was very humane to the animals, and they were not left in the traps more than 1 day. While the cost added up, it really was appropriate to the level of service needed, the risks of being on the roof with potentially rabid and trapped animals, and the expertise and knowledge of how to do this job. I could never have done this on my own. It was worth every penny. They gave me a 10% discount because of Angies' List.
Description of Work: Assessed what animals had entered our attic, developed a plan to remove them, informed us of other vulnerable areas in our home for rodents to enter, set up traps for squirrels on the roof just outside the hole they had entered. Daily they came out and climbed the roof, removed 4 squirrels, reset the traps and drove the squirrels away so they didn't return. They stuffed crumpled newspaper in the hole, so they could assess if any further squirrels had entered or left the attic, so we would have confidence that the problem was resolved. They repaired the hole when no squirrels had entered or left the attic after a few days.

This is the third time in 16 years we have used this company. Each time they seem to have done a good job, but clearly squirrels are persistent and difficult to keep out of an old home with wooden eaves. My only complaint is the appearance of the repairs. There is nothing cosmetically pleasing about it, but they also don't claim to be carpenters or roofing experts. We will follow up with roofers to see what permanent changes can be made to prevent this problem. One snafu: the first repair (attempt) resulted in a squirrel still entering and was trapped INSIDE and made it's way from the attic to the foyer by the next morning. After a moment of shock, we allowed it to exit from the front door on it's own. They came back and trapped/monitored again at no additional charge which was handled very professionally and promptly.
Description of Work: Identifying and closing off entry points of squirrels in the eaves of our house. A few weeks of live traps set on the roof with daily checks/removal. (16 squirrels were trapped -- apparently word had spread beyond the inhabitants of the holes...) Continued observation of the entry points until they are confident they can be sealed off.

Extremely professional. Came out the same day I called. A friend at work had recommended them due to her issues with 'wildlife'. Andy the wildlife technician came out and checked around the perimeter of my home. He went one place where I was unwilling to- under the porch where a bunch of cobwebs, etc reside. He found the problem; a small hole near the dryer vent. Plugged that hole as well as reinforced a few others. Have not had any more mice. When you consider what you pay for a plumber to fix a small leak, the piece of mind that comes with having a guarantee of not having this problem again is well worth it.
Description of Work: Called because I had spotted a few mice in the basement and could not identify any entry points.

The technicians were very professional, knowledgeable and nice to deal with. However, the same technician who came out and did the evaluation did not perform the work needed so there was some confusion. The time from the initial visit to completion was longer than I would have liked. Their services are quite expensive, but they do offer a year's warranty. Hopefully, we have the mouse problem solved, and won't need to call them back out.

I could hear critter scratching in the vaulted ceiling of my townhouse and shared wall with my neighbor. Called WMS to come out and diagnose the issue and ndash; I thought it was bats, but learned it was mice. Wayne did an inspection of the exterior of our building and gave me an itemized and priced list of recommendations. I called back and hired them for some of the items on the list that included sealing areas on the roof against entry, sealing ground level areas and installing dryer vent guards. Items I did not hire for are on the townhouse and ldquo;common propertyand rdquo; so will not pursue. My neighbor and I have not heard ceiling scratching since things have been sealed up, so time will tell.
Description of Work: Came out and inspected my townhouse unit upon request (diagnosed scratching in my ceiling as mice) and came back later to seal up cracks/crevices so they could not enter again.

While they did not remove the existing bats (which were mostly hibernating), they did provide piece of mind that we had corrected the problem. We have not had any bat problems or even heard any bats since they performed the work. Only time will tell how well the problem is fixed but I think they did everything they could to help.
Description of Work: We had a bat come into our house from our attic through a hole in our wall. Dustin came out and inspected our attic for bat activity, identified several possible entry points from outside into our house. He made a list of several repairs to close up these possible access points and also recommended a few others to protect against other unwanted animals (i.e., squirrels) and birds (nests). He came back about a week later and did the following: installed 3 exclusions on our roof, sealed gaps in our chimney, sealed between gaps in siding, installed two cages under eaves of our roof and installed spikes where birds had previously nested.

The removal person showed up right on time. As it happened the squirrel did get loose in the house as he didn't have his preferred tools with him. But he did catch the squirrel without it doing any damage and removed it. He then inspected the roof, chimneys and rest of the house to point out what might be done to reduce the threat of animal pests in the future. He gave us an estimate to fix all those potential problems which we have chosen not to pursue at this time.
