A very personable guy came out the next morning. He actually found 3 live fledgling birds in the attic, from a nest in the soffit. He carefully removed each one and they flew away. He found about 7 more bodies from previous years. Normally there is a set fee for animal removal, but he charged me for one animal for all 7 dead ones. He did an inspection of the rest of the house, and then came back the following Monday and put screens on all the soffits so I won't have this problem again. I was very happy with the whole experience.

Excellent. Scott is an excellent employee representing Wildlife. He explained everything he was doing and looking for and offered me different things I could do to fix my house. He set up two traps and one raccoon was caught. Traps still up there hoping the sounds in the middle of the night stop.
Description of Work: I was hearing noise in my attic so I knew something was living in there. I called Wildlife Management Services and Scott (their Tech) called me that he was 15 minutes away from my house. I RAN home from work as I needed to figure out what was living in my attic. Scott was looking around my house and told me I had raccoons. He didn't see any holes so he went up on my roof and notice some raccoon droppings and said that he didn't think they were in my attic. I asked him if he would be willing to just check for my peace of mind and he said yes. He went into my attic (which was REALLY hot) and told me it looked good nothing living in there.

It went smoothly; the technician (Andy) did a great job inspecting the outside perimeter of the house and repaired the biggest entry point. He provided a list of potential entry points; the total additional work estimate is about $1,700. We have not followed up with the additional work yet.

Every employee who came out to set the traps or check the traps/remove moles was extremely professional and courteous. I called on a Saturday after stumbling upon extensive damage in our yard and they were out first thing Monday morning. The technician could not have been nicer or more helpful in explaining why he set the traps in the particular locations and how he identified activity. He was also very thorough in explaining how to prevent any harm to my children and dog. The initial set-up fee is higher than other providers. However, they also do not charge an additional set-up fee if the moles return within the same season. Other providers charge a discounted set-up fee for future issues which totaled more than WMS' higher one-time fee. I feel that it is good insurance given that our neighbors continue to have an untreated mole problem.

I had been working with another Angie's List provider to try to trap and remove a squirrel from my attic for three weeks with no success. I finally gave up and called Wildlife Management Services. They came out, and two hours later the squirrel was in their trap. They know what they are doing, and I would highly recommend.

I had attempted a DIY trapping with no success for 4 nights. I called Wildlife Management Services and in just 1 night, the mother was trapped and the babies were then safely removed. The technician even made a temporary fix to the entry point on the chimney and provided me with tips to seal up other possible trouble spots, which was above and beyond what I expected. The price was reasonable given the task and quick results. I had gotten a quote from another provider with an A rating on Angie's List and was told it would take $1700 to do the job! Glad I went with Wildlife Management Services!

Excellent. The first technician was prompt, very polite and knowledgeable. His advice was spot on. He thoroughly checked the exterior of our house. He set a trap for the squirrel and was correct in his assessment regarding how long it would take to capture and remove the critter. The squirrel was caught on the second day, and the next technician was equally prompt, polite and definitely knew his stuff. The company reported that the animal came in through a small gap in our damper at the top of the chimney. They didn't try to sell me any additional services and told us exactly what was required to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of pesky animal assistance.

I had a mixed experience with this provider. They came out right away and were prompt, thorough and professional. They found the two places on my roof where the squirrels were getting in and temporarily blocked one hole and set up two traps near the other hole. They estimated that I had up to four squirrels and three were captured the next morning. The fourth squirrel was captured later in the afternoon on the same day. My initial thought was to leave the fourth squirrel there until morning, but a heavy storm was predicted for that evening. I was told by the person tending to the traps that the captured squirrels were being transported a good distance from customers and released in a forest preserve. Squirrels are pests, but I don't hate them and I am OK with them making a new start where they aren't harming homeowners. I did not want the captured squirrel to be stuck on the roof all night in the middle of a rainstorm. I called Wildlife Management Services that afternoon about the squirrel, but they could not promise that someone would come back out for it that same day. No one came back out. It rained hard and it rained all night. Even though it was just a squirrel, it really bothered me that it was trapped up there like that. I struggled for a few moments over whether or not to try to get up there to cover it or release it. I had no way to get up there and even if I did, I probably would have just wound up injuring myself in the process. Someone came out the next morning, but by then the squirrel was dead. I felt like I should have been allowed to just dispose of it myself since it wasn't going to be relocated this time. I was still charged the full cost for removal since I called the office to report that it was caught. This was an unplanned problem for me and a very expensive one. In just one day I had spent $470.00 for the initial inspection and the capture of three squirrels. When the squirrels made the second hole, they knocked off a decorative piece of wood from my roof which hit my car and caused several hundred dollars of damage to it. The company offered to repair the holes, but this would cost me another $300.00 and there would be no guarantees on the repairs because my soffit and fascia is worn in several spots and will need to be repaired or replaced by next spring. I reluctantly decided to cancel the service after the fourth squirrel, even if this wasn't the last one. I did call several contractors out to give me estimates on the soffit and fascia. It's too late in the season to get this replaced now, but I did find a contractor on your list who's done work for me before. He will make temporary repairs to get me through to next spring at less than half the cost of the quote from Wildlife Management Services. I think Wildlife Management Services is a good company and they are mainly charging prices that the market will bear. I think that they should be a little more flexible with additional pick ups if the critters are in any danger since they also provide a "humane" removal service. I also think they should consider partnering with another contractor for temporary/ permanent hole repairs, they stuffed cardboard in the two holes I have, which is better than nothing, but won't help me much at all.
Description of Work: I discovered that several squirrels had moved into the soffit & fascia on my roof. I became very concerned that they might try to get into my attic or into my walls. I looked up several providers on Angie's List and decided to go with Wildlife Management Services. They came out to perform a site inspection and placed a couple of traps on my roof.

We have a side by side duplex with a millipede and spider problem on both sides. Andy was on-time, professional and very friendly. He treated both units for the insects and then proceeded to walk the perimeter of the house to explain all the spots that mice could get in (which we also have a problem with from time to time). It was extremely helpful to us and we appreciated the extra time he took to write up some solutions that they offered for those entry points. We will take care of it ourselves as we already had the supplies to take care of one entry point, but Andy's knowledge was beyond helpful. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone. And as a bonus, the spray for the insects was environmentally friendly and non-toxic to people and pets.

Ben was very thorough and professional. I had bought a $239 package through Angie's List. It may have been a little high, but Ben was there for quite some time. I have no comparison prices. Results are still to be determined, but I have been impressed so far. Ben checked on the trap each day and called me with the results.

From start to finish our experience was wonderful! In less than 24 hours from when we called they were at our home. The woman (sorry I forget her name) who answered the phone and booked our service call was pleasant, professional, explained everything (which is helpful when you've never had this service before). The technician Andy was great! He called around 8am to let us know he'd be to our house between 9 - 11am. He got here a little before 9, dusted the wasp nest & did a free perimeter inspection to make sure no other critters were going to be an issue. About a 1/2 hour later all was done! Andy was professional but still personable & that's hard to come by in many service technicians. We hope we won't have to call them again but definitely would if any critter problems arise. We will recommend them to everyone we know!

Scott was outstanding. He was at my home withing minutes of our speaking, thoroughly inspected house, roof, basement, every closet, etc. He found the bat, took it to the University off Minnesota for testing, followed up with me with the case number of the test, and followed up the next week to see if we needed assistance with any of his recommended actions regarding our home. I couldn't have asked for more. I would call Wildlife Management again should we have another such situation (hopefully not!).

So far it's going on well. The most important thing is if they continue to keep the rodents away, hard to know for sure. There were additional costs to the $239 of the big deal since it was only for one treatment. For the complete protection of the house against rodents, I needed to purchase more traps, sprays every 3 months and other random services. My main concern if the job is done correctly and it's hard to tell until we see any rodents or pests although so far, they have been none. The technician is friendly and pretty straight forward. A better thing to do is to specify what the price for the services entails hence the need for transparency.

I bought a $209 big deal for this service and those guys are great. We were basically under rodent attack. It took them a while to track the critters down and actually get rid of them all and then seal up all of the openings. It was kind of an ongoing process. We ended up using them for a lot more than we first started out at our request, but it was worth it. They were just very thorough so they looked at all the possible problems we might have, gave us a menu of problems they saw and let us select what priorities to fix and which things we did not want to fix. I have not had any problems since they came out. They left some stuff out there that they needed to come back and fix.
Description of Work: Somehow a rat had gotten into the house through the sewer system and was tearing stuff up in the basement so they dealt with that. W also had some squirrels chewing through the wall and soffit on the outside from a tree so they took care of that.

Provider showed up minutes before the end of the two-hour window, but within the estimated time frame. She listened to my concerns and was very friendly as well as knowledgeable. Provider did more than I expected, as she looked for other animals besides the mice that I was worried about, but also somewhat less, as she only placed traps outside to eliminate future mice problems rather than also setting traps inside the house to deal with the mice that were already there. To be fair, I did already have traps set, they just didn't seem to be working very well, and she did recommend different placements for them.

I called WMS in the afternoon and their technician came out in the afternoon. He called a couple of hours prior to arrival, and arrived just a few minutes early. Although the evaluation itself was a set price he was very thorough and took the time to go through the entire house to make sure to find any evidence of mice. Where there wasn't any he told us that. He spent several hours at our house sealing openings he had found and describing in detail other suggested services, which we can consider for later. The total service was a bit pricey compared to Terminix, but he did a much more thorough job than they did. If the sealing keeps the critters out that will be $ well spent. There is also a 1-year guarantee. All in all I was very positively impressed.
