Description of Work: My wife and I decided to put a pool in this past summer. Every part of this project has had major major problems with ONE exception. Town and Country fence was perfect from the moment I met Mike. He came to my house, was very professional, great sense of humor and estimated my job without any high pressure sales of extras. Mike left materials with me and my wife to decide withiout hovering over our shoulders waiting to decide. Town and country arrived when promised. They delievered the fence and options we chose. In fact, they finished their job before the date promised. Much to my surpise, Mike reestimated my bill after completion and lowered the balance do. When do you ever see that happen?????? I was totally satisfied. Though I have had huge problems with the other parts of my project, Mike/ Town and Country fence, were OUTSTANDING and a pleasure to deal wiht.. I would hire them again in an instant. A week after the fence was installed we had a huge windstorm that damaged the fence. A huge piece of wood smasshed into the fence. Though it did bend drasticly, the fence held together. I believe the quality of the fencing is as good as respresented. From the time I called mike, to the repair of the damage was only 5 days. Once again, mike and his crew did an outstanding job. Once again, this is the company to hire. Mike and his crew are outstanding.

Description of Work: I called Town & Country to have someone come out to provide an estimate. A salesman called to schedule an appointment several days later. On the day of his appointment, he called to say he was running late. I was unable to be there for the appointment because of a medical emergency with our toddler. Dave Tovsen, the salesman, left a nasty message on the phone and on the back of his business card in our door--saying that he wouldn't do business with us. If they were the last fencing company on earth, I wouldn't do business with them.

Description of Work: Tom came out to bid. Arrived. Told us he'd come back to measure when he was dressed for it. We followed up twice. Never provided bid. Raised this with people who manned the booth at this year's Minneapolis Home Show. They said they were surprised because he'd been with them forever and it wasn't like them. They took our name. Never followed up. We have since had the fence replaced. We got 2 other bids. End cost was $27K. They lost out on a nice job.

Description of Work: THIS HAS BEEN A BAD EXPERIENCE. FIRST WE WERE TOLD TO TAKE DOWN THE FENCE AND THAT THE POLES WOULD BE SET THE WEEK OF JUNE 23. WELL, THEY CAME THE WEEK OF JULY 1, AND IMMEDIATELY COMPLAINED, AS THEY DID NOT HAVE A 4' SWATH CLEARED FOR THEM, AND THEY WON'T WORK AROUND BRUSH. I ARRANGED FOR A EMERGENCY TRIM JOB SO WE COULD MOVE AHEAD ASAP, AS MY FENCES HAVE NOW BEEN DOWN 2 WEEKS AND I HAVE DOGS AND CHILDREN. THIS COST ME AN EXTRA $275.00. THEN THEY RETURNED TO PLACE THE POSTS, AND THE FOREMAN MISUNDERSTOOD WHERE ONE SECTION WENT AND THEY WERE PLACED WRONG. IN TOTAL THERE ABOUT 6 POST MISPLACED. I CALLED TO REPORT THIS AND WAS TOLD THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR FOREMAN AND THERE WOULD BE AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR REMOVAL OF THE MISPLACED POST AND INSTALLATION OF THE POSTS WHERE THEY ARE TO BE. I JUST TALKED TO THEM TODAY, AND I DO NOT HAVE A DATE FOR THIS WORK, AND I AM STILL WITHOUT A FENCE INTO WEEK 3. I TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE, AND THEY ALL PUT THE EMPLOYEES FIRST AND THE CUSTOMER LAST.

Description of Work: I PHONED THEIR OFFICES TWICE FOR A BID FOR A CEDAR PICKET FENCE AND DID NOT RECEIVE A RETURN PHONE CALL.

Description of Work: I VISITED THE COMPANY''S STORE TO LOOK AT FENCING STYLES AND GET A PRICE ESTIMATE. BECAUSE THE LENGTH OF THE FENCE WE NEEDED WAS SMALL (57 FEET) THE SALES PEOPLE GAVE THE IMPRESSION THAT OUR BUSINESS WAS NOT THAT IMPORTANT.
