Description of Work: I bought the big deal for eight hours of electrical labor for $379. I had several odd jobs and ranked them by priority. He arrived on time at 9:00AM and got to work. Midday he needed to run to the hardware store for supplies. At 2:00 he said he was done with one of my projects so I showed him the last project. He said it would take 2-3 hours of work and he'd rather not do it on an Angie's List deal because Angie's List takes 40%. I don't know if this is true, but he wrapped up for the day without doing my last job--which I had paid for. He put in 5 hours of work and left. He left his card. I threw it in the recycle bin.

Description of Work: The electrician was able to to install my chandelier and three outdoor motion lights with time to spare. He was very efficient and I was pleased with his work. He was late and it would have been better if he called me instead of having to call him to find out the delay.

Description of Work: Reconnected Air Conditioner and main electrical box to house after a re-siding project. We also asked for an estimate on another project but never heard back from him.

Description of Work: Requested....chg over fans to antique lights....adequate but left wire pieces all over.....request chg light switch to one that included a socket.....installed incorrectly.....tried many times to getit right......my handyman bought a new switch and installed it....

Description of Work: I needed him to replace a light switch, install 2 electrical outlets, and repair door bell and porch light. He had to come back to check light switch because it kept tripping the circuit breaker, finally got it fixed. He changed bulb in porch light and attempted to fix the doorbell, but neither one of them work. Had to disconnect doorbell because it would ring by itself. The only thing he did well was replace two outlet switches. This was a total waste.

Description of Work: It took a little while to get this going, partially because I didnt know what I needed done (completely) and his speed in returning my calls and emails originally. Eventually we hooked up on a Saturday and I explained everything. He did some testing and then came back the following week. Overall I was satisfied. Had I known what I wanted it probably would not have been 8 hours worth of work.

Description of Work: I would like to receive a refund due to setting up an appoint and the electrician not showing up for our meeting. He then failed to contact me to reschedule our appointment after me calling him.

Description of Work: I received a couple of reminders from Sparky Electric to see if I wanted to use the coupon and get the work done. He was professional. The work was never done. I had to put the service date above to get this Refund request form sent to you.

Description of Work: Was unable to do the change of control from one switch to another empty one. Could not exolain why. Kept saying "it's not simple". I said do it complicated then, but he did not know how it could be done. He put wall switch back together poorly and left plaster dust on floor. He looked at a different job (outdoor lights), but could not think of a solution. He claimed to be a licensed electrician and also promised to contact Angie's to get my refund(as he did not want me to report), but did not do so. He was frustrated and rude and sloppy and untruthful, as well as unskilled and unable to communicate the difficulty of my requests.

Description of Work: I bought the sparky electric service on Jan 19 2013, I called the guy Tim Wilhelm to make an appointment on Feb 6 2013 and he took my information- my address and phone #. But I got a phone call on Feb 6 2013 early morning he canceled that day the appointment. I re-schedule on Feb 20th 2013, he called me on Feb 19 2013- just day before the an appointment. He asked me to pay him one and half hours more fee, I refused and he hang up the phone. I was and am very angry and sad.

Description of Work: The appointment was for a rental property. I was meeeting him there and called 20 minutes after the schedule meet time. He lost the order and didn't have my address. HE said he would be there in 10-15 minutes and it ended up being 45 minutes. Once he got there I had 3 items for him to look at for the $99 deal. I left for awhile and he finished 1 item and was leaving before the tennent stopped him and mentioned the other items.

Description of Work: Tim replaced a few outlets and small light bulbs for under-cabinet lights. After completing this the lights still didn't work. Apparently the 2 transformers need to be replaced, which neither of us thought of during diagnosis. So, the problem was not fixed.

Description of Work: Used an Angies List Big deal to change an outside light and install a new light. Tim was great from start to finish. Set up an appt on the phone. He came on time and did great work with attention to detail.he even fixed a loose latch on my back yard gate. The cost was about $100 more than my coupon but seemed well worth it. I plan to use Sparky electric again for electric work.
