CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS

This was fine. They responded promptly. They came out on my day off to look into everything.

I had a broken torsion spring on my garage door. Mike came right out and replaced the springs and other worn parts and lubricated the wheels. Other companies wanted double to come out on Saturday. Very courteous and professional. Champion Garage Doors will be my first call next time and I would recommend them to others.

Provider checked the rollers and indicated that the rollers on the garage door needed to be replaced, because they were badly worn.. He also recommended replacing the garage door opener, based on the fact that the gears in the garage door had become worn or stripped based on the worn rollers, which caused stress on the gears in the garage door opener motor. The garage door opener was approximately 18 years old, so it made sense to replace it. I agreed to have them come back the next week to install the new garage door opener and to also replace the new rollers. I had them install a 1/2 HP motor opener to replace the 1/3 HP that I had previously had. The garage door opener works much better than the old one, and is much quieter as well.

Now the garage works great!

MIke and Rob were both great. Fixed an issue with the door that another company 'said' they fixed yet the cable came off again in 2 months. Price was less than quoted, door is working great! Would recommend them to everyone.

They were so nice to work with. Called back right away and then followed up the following day to see if we still needed help. They came out to fix it that day. He explained what was wrong and exactly what he needed to do to fix the problem. Really nice guy. They were great on the phone and in person. We will use them again for sure.

Mike was very professional. He called us in the morning and gave us 2 h window. He was on time and performed the tune up and recommended roller replacement. We agreed to change it since they were old. He also installed rubber weather strip on the bottom of door.

The new door looks great - it's smoother/quieter when opening/closing - the seal around the outer edge is something I did not have before, so that's a really nice addition. I have several neighbors in the town home association considering doing the same (with Champion) after seeing mine.

I found them on Angie's List. They had a discount coupon for Angie's List members. I called them, and they came the next day to take care of it. We weren't hung out to dry and having to wait days. This was the first time I used them. I thought the price was reasonable for what they did for us. The quality of service was excellent, and they were here when they said they would be.

Rob arrived on time, was courteous and informative. I really appreciated his knowledge and he helped me understand what to expect and how to handle it in the future. He did not try to over sell. I will use them again if me door goes out.

The service technician, Mike, came within the two hour time frame scheduled. At the beginning of the visit, I told him that during the winter on the coldest days, my garage was having trouble opening and closing. He said I might need a new opener. I told him that I had experienced the same issue with another property and adjusting the door force had fixed the problem. He looked at the tension settings and agreed that the door force needed to be adjusted. It's hard to know if I hadn't mentioned my awareness of the door force, if he would have advised replacing the opener. He did a fine job otherwise. Everything else went smoothly from there. He inspected and tuned up the garage. In the end, he gave me the following observations about my garage: The door is newer and looking great, I may need to replace my older opener at some point for example when adjusting the door force doesn't help, and there is some rust on a portion of the wiring that I may need to replace at some point, but I don't need to do anything about it yet. Overall, it was a good experience at a great price.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal. I had very quick response getting my time scheduled. Mike was very prompt arriving for the garage door tuneup. I asked what was involved with a tuneup and he went over their checklist with me so I knew what he would be looking at and doing for the tuneup. I asked him if he could replace the rubber strip along the bottom of the door. I had planned on doing it myself but he said he could do it for me. I really appreciated that! Everything went very well!

It went very well and Joel, the Champion's guy showed me what had been off with the situation (the garage door had been creaking a lot going up and down and I knew something was out of whack); he rebalanced the springs and replaced the worn part and was friendly and professional

The door had not been opening very well in cold weather and would also squeak when closing. I thought we may need a new garage door opener due to the sluggishness with which the door was opening. But the technician looked at it and said he thought our opener was probably fine and he suggested first lubricating the door and replacing the 15 year old rollers. Viola! The door opened great that day, and also all winter (and still is today - 10/14/14). The technician was very professional, knowledgeable, and did the work quickly and with high quality.

He arrived a little past the time window I was given. Worked quickly. Replaced weatherstripping, cables & rollers in about 35 minutes.

Mike was at my place early in the time window -- always appreciated when that is possible! He checked over the door / system carefully, made some adjustments. Nothing major -- just nice to have the garage door tuned up and ready for winter!

We had an emergency with the doors and had to find another contractor immediately and cancel the deal.

I contacted Champion because one of my garage doors had a broken cable. Within an hour, Mike arrived to inspect the door and fix the broken cable. He noted that the cable had broken due to rust, which was seen on the bottom fixtures of both garage doors. As a preventive maintenance item, I decided to have him replace all of the bottom fixtures and cables on both doors, and also the rollers which were worn. Mike was very informative about what he found, and did not pressure me at all to complete the additional service. In addition, my keyless entry had stopped working and I had not been able to successfully reset it. He fixed this as well. I am very pleased with all aspects of the service received, and strongly recommend Champion for garage door repair needs!

Initially called and left a message to schedule my appointment. Was called back on a Sunday! Appointment was scheduled with the promise of a call in the morning to re-confirm arrival time at my home. I was indeed called and the guy showed up as expected. Sorry, I don't remember his name but he was super nice. He took care of everything as expected and did it so fast I was amazed. He showed me what he'd checked and maintained and the new weather strip looks fantastic. With a handshake and a cheery smile he was on his way. How awesome is that? So, in short: my experience with Champion Garage Doors was professional, friendly, polite, easy with absolutely no fuss. I wish all companies handled themselves with as much thought, care and customer consideration as these guys do. Hire them for your next garage door project! Highly recommended.
