The gentleman who came was prompt, friendly and informative. He completed the task quickly and was on his way. 4 months later the door continues to operate well.

The guy showed up on time and was professional. While he didn't fix the outstanding problem we had (the door sensors just wouldn't work when it was below 20 degrees out), he replaced the seal and tuned up the garage door opener so it worked flawlessly until it got cold out.

My experience with this company was absolutely fabulous from beginning to end! Mindy received my message and called to schedule the service within an hour. She had someone scheduled to complete the repair/work within 5 minutes of our call. She was excellent! Mike showed up on time and went right to work. I showed him the issue and he was finished replacing the double torsion spring in less than 30 minutes. He then completed the garage door tune up I had purchased through Angie's List. He took the time to go over the inspection item by item, showing me exactly where everything he was talking about was located on the door and giving me a thorough explanation of what he found. I felt he was honest and never tried to up-sell me anything. I chose to have him replace the plastic rollers/wheels with nylon ones not because he told me I should, but because I was wondering about them already and after he went over the inspection with me, I believed I should have him do this, too. He had all of the materials with him for the repairs I requested in addition to what I had scheduled and stayed on my job longer than he had anticipated. Mike was finished with all of this work in less than an hour. He was kind and polite. He was extremely professional. I will definitely have Champion Garage Doors service my door in the future, and when it is time to replace the opener or the door, I will have them back to complete the work. I highly recommend this company!

The work was completed to satisfaction. In the course of the inspection, the service person suggested replacement of springs (amidst other things). The springs were relatively new so I was not really convinced that this was necessary. I have subsequently found out that, while the springs may not the right ones for the door, there isn't any harm in continuing to use them; at worst they may last a little less time than the "right" springs would. In general, the service person should do more to explain matters properly to his customers and should also lay out the options in a neutral fashion---in the long run, it helps both parties to have a trustful relationship.

Except for the GPS gizmo the Tech had in service truck getting him lost several times trying to find us, it was flawless. I am extremely glad I purchased the Angie's List coupon. The Gasket on the bottom of the door has needed replacing for several years and the door had just started to make some awful screeching sounds for the past month. I generally lube the rollers every 3 months but just being a DIY guy, my expertise isn't any where near Garage Doors, nor do I even want to be knowledgeable of garage doors. Come to find out, most of the rollers were either very worn, damaged or broken and because of the added stress on the motor, a part that had a gear for moving the door plus a cam near the gear that tells the motor the position of the door had been overworked causing a bushing to wear faster on the motor drive shaft, which in turn caused this part which had the gear, cam and bushing to wobble. Tech indicated the wobble would only get worse and get worse very rapidly, causing the motor to no longer be able to move the door. Getting a Coupon and having Champion Garage Doors come out saved me what would have been a much higher expense.

The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He did the tune up I paid for through Angie's Big Deals. He found that we needed new rollers (they were the original 30 year old plastic ones) as well as new bearings. I elected to have them replaced, which he was able to do right away. He was thorough but quick, and careful of my two small boys who wanted to watch periodically. I am now better informed of our garage door (its an older style that will require special parts when other parts go), which is helpful since we haven't lived in our home very long.

I cannot review the quality of work from this company, because we were never able to successfully schedule an appointment. Their appointment process for the Angie's list deal was to call you at 7:30am on the day they have available to give you a two hour window for when they will show up. If you can't make that time window, the process starts over and you wait several more days to get on the schedule again. After 3 times being unable to make their two hour window due to work conflicts, I gave up. I was told if you hire them without the Angie's List deal you can get an actual scheduled appointment. So, if you have no scheduling challenges in your day and can sit around waiting for the two hour appt. window, then I am sure they will be fine to work with. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and called when they were supposed to call. I think it would be helpful if in the Angie's List deal they specified the appt. process. I wouldn't have paid for the deal if I knew that I would have to figure out my appt. time window on the day of the appt.

It's the little things that make me choose to not use this provider again. We had in the past used a different company, Metro Garage Door, whom had a handy (readable!) sticker they placed inside our garage door listing all their service dates and what was done. Unbeknownst, until after Champion left, found they had removed our Metro Garage Door sticker and replaced it with one of their own. So we lost our past history of all our documented Metro Garage Door visits and what was done for our garage door, that was bad enough. To top it off, the sticker that Champion replaced it with was left blank, no service details. To top that off, the lines/spaces to document on sticker what was done were so small there was/is no way to even do so, teeny tiny lines. So the only purpose that sticker had was to *brand* or remind who did the last service.

Very good and would use them again.

Champion Garage Door replied quickly to my request and worked us into their schedule the next day. They arrived on time and completed the job in a timely mannor. I was impressed by their friendly response to our calls. I would use them again.

It went great, they suggested what would work best, we did not have to replace the opener. They took away the old door and we were good to go. Great service, friendly serviceman.

Tune up was very simple, didn't last very long. Have had trouble for about a year where door doesn't open or close consistently. Said replacing track wheels would fix problem. Problem still occurring.

We were very pleased when we were told that we would receive a call between 7:30 and 8:30am on the day of the appointment to give us our appointment time window. We got the call at 8:30. We were given a window of between 10am and noon. This is much better than most utility companies and other service providers do when they give a six hour window. At exactly, 10am our doorbell rang. The rep was ready to go. He got right to work. As described above the work was done professionally and met our expectations. He was courteous and polite. We would certainly not hesitate to hire this company again.

Chris was great! He called first thing Friday morning after I had called Thursday and was very punctual. He explained the problem quickly, recommended a new rubber sealant which I felt was a legitimate recommendation and not trying to "up-sell" me. He was very friendly and completed the work quickly and efficiently. I would definitely use Champion Garage Doors again.

Technician arrived on time. Advised that opener was not worth repairing. Provided estimate to replace opener and estimate for other suggested work. Very informative and professional.

Wonderful service provider. They had great communication, showed up right when they promised, finished the job in a timely manner and left everything neat and tidy. Very professional and nice installer, and the new doors look great! Highly recommended.

Great! I knew I had an issue with the garage door, so I anticipated some additional cost. He identified the problem and fixed it for an additional $150. He showed me a couple of other things that will likely need repair in the coming year or two. I appreciated the lack of the 'hard sell' to push me to repair something that wasn't critical. He did not do that and I appreciated his approach and professionalism. We have used them before and will definitely use them again!

Champion Garage Doors was initially called to repair my garage door. My garage is an alley access, 1.5 car size built in 1952. The garage itself is in a fairly poor state or repair. Let's just say that my garage won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. The person who came by to do the tune-up/repair talked to me about the garage door and I decided to replace the garage door instead of repairing it. The rep spent some time taking measurements and talked to me about the need for a custom sized door because I had a non-standard size. He took more measurements before I signed the paperwork and paid for the new door up front. Overall Initial visit: On time and professional. The second visit was a couple of weeks later once the door was in. The door came in faster than I expected so I was happy about that. Two reps came for the installation of the new door. They arrived just at the limit of the two hour window but that was no big deal. They were courteous and professional and got right to work. I spent most of the four hours working inside my home. When I came out to see the final product I was rather surprised to see that the new door wasn't made to my opening's exact measurements. The reps had installed a 2x4 on the left side of the jamb and on the inside of the top of the jamb as well. A couple of things bugged me about this. First, the door was obviously not made to my garage opening's exact measurements. This after all of the time the first rep spent measuring and re-measuring to make sure he had written everything down correctly. Either he had made a mistake taking the measurements or the factory/supplier had not made the door to the size indicated on the order. Second, the reps doing the installation did not ask me or inform me that they were going to be installing a door that didn't match the opening perfectly so they would need to install extra wood around the opening. I think it would have been more professional to tell the customer what was happening at the time so that I could have objected. If my garage was in great condition I would be much more upset than I am. But I did expect more from a company with a top rating on Angie's List. I have pictures that I can post but I don't see any way to do that here. I will say that the reps doing the install were definitely good people. They were having a bad day (the install before mine went way longer than it was supposed to) and my four-hour installation wasn't helping. They never complained and kept a positive, professional attitude the entire time. <> UPDATE <> After I posted my review on Angie's List, the owner of the company called me to apologize for the installation. He had not been informed that additional framing had been done by the installation team and wanted to come out to see the door. He did so within two days and called me. He said that there must have been a mistake made during the measurement process and that a standard size door should have been ordered, not a door that required cutting down to size at the factory. He said he would make this right. He did. He ordered a replacement door and had it installed within ten days of his visit. He also credited me for the custom door size fee that wasn't required. He did this with no long explanations or excuses. He simply apologized and did what he said he would do. The door is working great and looks good. I really appreciate the service recovery.

So happy we called for a tune up! The garage door seemed louder than normal, so we scheduled a tune-up -- and they found a completely broken spring! (Which was causing all of the racket, which led us to call for a tune up!) They were able to replace the springs on the spot, adjust and tune up the door and opener, and show us how to keep the door clean and lubricated. It's just like new -- so glad we called!

Joel performed our tuneup. Very friendly and professional. We had noticed our door coming down somewhat crooked. He addressed our issues and gave us a quote to have it resolved. Will be setting up an appointment with them to have our problem fixed.
