When the technician finished the tune-up and repairs, he told me that the single broken spring would have allowed the garage door to come down like a "guillotine" if we had pulled the emergency pull cord to lower the garage door manually due to a power outage. Our townhome with a 21x7 ft.double garage door is 15 years old and we had never had a maintenance tune-up. The description of the door dropping like a guillotine with only one worn spring left to support the door is frightening. I really believe that a preventative maintenance "tune-up" is very important. The saying "don't fix what isn't broken" is great, but if you don't know IT IS broken --- then what?? I believe that the $43 garage door tune-up offered on Angie's List saved us from a possible horrible accident. Thank you Champion Garage Doors and Angie's List.

He was on time, he did the work in a reasonable amount of time, and he explained to me what he did and helped me understand what was going on with the whole door itself. It as a reasonable amount of money, and he was personable and easy to relate to with my questions and with my very little knowledge. I would use this company again for sure.

I purchased an Angies List deal for $39. They were very professional, checked everything out thoroughly and replaced 10 rollers that were wearing.

It was relatively okay. The price was pretty good so I didn't have too many complaints. They provided straight up service. I've used somebody else before so this is the first time I've used Champion and I prefer the tune-up of the prior people because they went into the actual garage door opener and kind of greased and tuned up that part of it also, while with Champion, it kind of looked like they were just taking a can of spray and just kind of sprayed on different joints around. Long story short, the overall experience was good because of the good price but what they actually did seemed to be a little less than what the prior people had done. I would probably not use them again.

Did a thorough job but told me that the door would collapse soon and I should replace the door and gave me all his information. The door has been totally fine and it's almost a year ago since he was here. I felt that he was giving me a sales pitch, which, of course, was the reason for the $39 inspection.

I called on a Monday, after a holiday weekend, and they were able to come out on the same day to fix our broken springs.

Chris came to our home for the garage door tune-up. He took time to explain what he was doing and showed some potential problem areas for the future. He also showed some simple maintenance I could do myself. He did not try to sell me on additional services or maintenance, which I appreciated. I thought the price for the tune-up was very good, especially compared to competing companies.

When they tuned up my garage door, they had to come back later to do another fix. It worked for a couple of weeks, but they didn't fix it completely.
