CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS

I needed to align track on left side as the bottom wheel hits the screws when rolling down. I had them inspected it and made sure that they understood what needed to be fixed. They said they will fix it and install new spring (mind that the spring I had was new) and I was fine with it as long as they fixed the track. When they came back, they replaced the spring (not needed), rollers, but didn't touch the track at all. When I asked why he didn't fix the thing that required fixing, he started hitting the track with hammer trying to replace few screws and made the track worse than before. Now, I need to bring in a different company to fix the issues. The lack of professionalism that they display is astounding. Since, I scheduled their service, they missed the date twice citing that they had wrong number or they called and i didn't pick up. I never received their call. I talked to the owner and he came back to check it. He started blaming the original installer for poor job and left saying that he will call in few hours to schedule and fix the issue. It has been three days and I haven't received any calls. This is the first and last time that I will procure their service and if you want to avoid hassle, I suggest you find a different service provider.

We've had a string of problems with an existing double garage door and when one of the springs broke we decided it was time to replace the whole works. The garage is at a rental property, so we were also looking for someone who could do work quickly to minimize the impact on our tenants. We called a number of providers, including others from Angie's List, and by far the most responsive was Champion. I had a written quote less than 24 hours after talking to Champion on the phone and we had the new garage door installed two days later. Our technician was Chris and he was outstanding. He took a lot of time to explain what he would do and then after the new door was installed, explained everything about programming the keypad and maintaining the garage door with regular lubrication. The door was expertly installed and there were no cut corners. On top of this, the other companies couldn't come close to beating their bid. With a new door now, I'm not expecting to need service anytime soon, but I won't hesitate to use Champion again when I do.

Good. There was an initial mix-up on the date of service. The company was very apologetic and came first thing the following day. Service was very professional and gave honest advice on how to best perserve and aging motor.

Okay...some confusion about show up time.

It went great! They came out the week I called for the $99 inspection, tune up and bottom seal replacement. When he did the inspection he showed me the wire was so frayed that it was just a matter of time before it broke. He replaced it. Next he told me the wheels were dragging and many were not moving so he replaced those with brand new wheels. I was very happy with the service, the friendliness and the speed at which everything went down. I would highly recommend!

Chris got the door working again and walked me through the areas of concern. He was not pushy at all and was very honest in where there were problems and where there were not problems. I will be using these guys again.

The service man was professional and did a great job tuning up the garage door. What I appreciated was after he finished the one door he looked at our other 2 doors and gave input on keeping them in working order through the winter. Yes, we need new doors but we were in the middle of a remodeling job and getting 3 new garage doors this year was not going to happen. We will definitely get a quote from them when are ready to buy.

I contacted Champion Garage Doors regarding replacement of my aging wood garage door with an insulated steel door. The estimator, Rob, came to my home to take measurements and discuss the estimate. He was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions. Literally this only took about 10 minutes. Just a week later I was having my new door installed. The installer, Chris, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. It only took him about 2 hours by himself to install the new door, and it looks terrific. Overall, I was very happy with the ease of working with Champion, the quality of their service, the price, and the final results. I would definitely use Champion again.

Chris thoroughly went over door functioning explaining what he was looking for. He lubricated and told me what maintenance I should be performing quarterly. He replaced a burned out bulb and showed me why I will need to replace the bottom strip in the spring. I love recommend this company 100%!

I have a six car garage and two garage doors - there is a wall in between the bay's in the garage. One door has an older garage door opener and the other door does not have one installed. I Contacted Champion and had an appointment to install a garage door opener on 12/11. Received a call from Champion the day before on 12/10 and they asked to rescheduled for 12/18. I agreed; however, the technician did not show or call on 12/18. Contacted Chapion via email on 12/21 and they apologized and rescheduled the service for 1/4/2016. The technician showed up on time and I showed him the garage door that I wanted to have a opener installed on and he responded "I hope you have a ladder that will reach up there because I don't." The ceilIng is about 12' tall. I told him I had one that he could use and found it odd that he didn't have a bigger ladder. Then I asked if he could move and/or replace the track hangers because they were mounted on the walls versus the ceiling - his response "that's not going to happen today." Since he was telling me what he couldn't do vice what he could do - I decide to take him over to the other garage and asked he if he replace the garage opener on that side instead. It was about 15 years old and wasn't a priority, but since he was already there I decided to replace it. He looked at it and said it wouldn't be a problem. He replaced the door and rollers in about 2 1/2 hours and did a very good job. I am happy with the work, but will not use them to complete the job I originally contacted them about. The reason I contacted a professional is because I believed moving the track hangers was above my skill level and was surprised with the response from the tech. I don't feel comfortable recommending them, but the work was good and the price was competitive.

I am updating my earlier review from January 4 which was unfavorable; after working with them I will definitely use them again. I initially had trouble contacting them via email after buying one of the Big Deals..Once I connected with the business I was very satisfied and they addressed all of my concerns.. I liked Rob and he did a great job servicing my garage door. Any business can have a communication breakdown and I don't know whether this was due to Angie's List or something else. But I really like a business that does good service recovery like what was done here when a problem is identified. A+

After getting a tune-up of my garage door, I opted to replace a bearing and a couple other parts that had shown some wear. The repairs were done in the same appointment as the tune-up and were done quickly. It wasn't a high pressure sale, but certainly made sense to replace and repair the items. I had the wrong address on my Angie's List account for some reason, so the provider went to that address first, but fully understood my mistake and came to my residence then. It was completely my mistake, but they accommodated it and got there work done. Greatly appreciate their friendliness and helpful attitude. Would definitely use again for garage door needs.

Chris was extremely courteous and explained everything he was doing. Said sometime soon I will need to replace rollers and also the insulation on bottom of door. I asked what the cost would be and I said lets get it done now. Had rollers replaced and insulation on bottom of the door and then sprayed all moving parts. Advised me to clean inside of door and make sure to oil once a year. Thanks Chris great job and I will use them again when needed.

It went well. The tune-up only took 30 minutes, and the garage door is working better. We now also have more information if we choose to make any upgrades to the door.

I bought a deal on Angie's List. Two days later, angles list sent an automated email for me to contact the company for scheduling. i've contacted them twice, both times no one has answered and I've left detailed messages with my name, phone number, and that I've purchased a maintenance package through Angie's List. I have never had a call returned and it's been over two weeks. I will now try to get a refund. I am very frustrated a company would not be responsive at all.

It went great. The technician was prompt and did a great job. He even adjusted my small garage door a little bit for me at no charge. If I ever need service again, this is the company I will call.

Chris, the Tech from Champion, called me around 8 am to let me know the time frame he would arrive. He arrived during that 2 hour window. He was knowledgeable about garage doors and gave me clear instructions on how to maintain the work he did for me today. He also pointed out a part I will need to replace in the future - no hard sell to get it done on this visit. He was friendly and represented the company well. He answered all my questions and offered suggestions I appreciated.

While he was here, I asked him about a replacement bottom panel versus an entire door replacement and he quoted both ways and offered a good price that would stand through the winter. Given other appliances that were approaching the end of their cycles, we couldn't afford to do the door that season, but we are budgeting for a replacment and we would be happy to use Champion again. They have a wonderful supply of garage parts at their home store location and we have taken advantage of buying supplies there as needed, for a competitive price.

I purchased the garage door tune-up deal on Angie's List since the garage door on our newly purchased house was sounding very loud when it opened and closed, and sometimes would fail to close all the way. The technician who came out was courteous and professional. Beyond the tune-up, I added a couple things at the time of service: he showed me how the rollers on the door were very worn out, and said he could replace them with nylon rollers which would be quieter. Also the sensors were mounted too low, and needed to be attached to the wall in order to be properly aligned, so he did that as well. He said the door itself seemed to be in good shape, which seemed good as it meant he wasn't just trying to up-sell me everything. The door was significantly quieter when he left and doesn't have the non-closing issues it had before.

I had first used them in June of 2014 for a tune up of both single garage doors which cost us $330.00 (they replaced rollers on both doors and bearings on one door ? along with an inspection). I thought the price was high but my husband was pleased with the person and figured we wouldn?t have problems for many years. In September 2015, one of the garage doors was making a clunking noise and evidently it was sticking to new paint (our fault) but they did a complete tune up and inspection and charged us $39.00. I was pleased with the service received and the price. On Saturday December 5, 2015, I called Champion Door because my chain had come unscrewed and needed it fixed. When I called Champion about the chain they said there would be an $89.00 service call charge and could come on Monday afternoon December 7th. Since it was just putting the chain back on ? I thought that would be the total charge since no parts were needed. I got charged an extra $89.00 for putting the chain on and a ?free? full operator tune-up for around 20 minutes of work. Total bill was $178.00 and Brent recommended an ?Annual Tune-up?. I believe this was excessive and will be shopping around next time.

Excellent. I had given you a review just after the date of service,but you seem to have lost it. I no longer remember the cost, but it was reasonable .

Got in touch with them and everything was okay initially. They were supposed to show up on Monday, 12/15 . I called a week prior to try and confirm the appointment. They never answered their phone and their voice mail inbox was full for the ENTIRE WEEK so I couldn't leave any messages . They called on the day of the appointment one hour prior, and owner me that his technician called in sick and they wouldn't be able to make it. Set a 2nd appointment for the next day at 1:30 PM. The time came and went and they were a "no call/no show". RUN, don't walk away from these guys!!!

Service was perfect! They were prompt and very helpful and friendly!!!

I have taken advantage of the big deal by this company before and will do it again. I had a new door this year as the old one was replaced because of damage from a hail storm. I thought the new door was quiet, but after being maintained by CHAMPION, it was really quiet. I have had Champion servicemen out at 8am for both service calls and they have been wide awake and ready to go with a great attitude. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.
