CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS

Champion originally had a tune up coupon prior to me leaving town for a few days. When I got back the coupon was no longer available. Contacted them and explained the situation and they gave me the coupon price anyway. Chris called in advance and showed up when he said he would. I went over the issue and he explained and showed me what was going on. Some of the old steel rollers were not rolling properly anymore. He did the tune up, replaced all the rollers with new nylon ones, and replaced the worn out torn bottom seal. Then when completed he showed me how to keep it in better condition by lubricating in certain points where it was needed on a regular basis. He also fixed something in the track itself that was rubbing and making a clunking noise when the door was opened. He also replaced the battery in my wall mount opener and got me the info needed to replace it if needed. This is the third time I have used Champion and I would use them again without hesitation.

Company was very responsive. Scheduled according to my schedule. Technician was prompt, courteous and did not pressure me into additional purchases. Technician made some recommendations. Would use again.

It was satisfactory. We had some scheduling issues on our part. Probably a couple of weeks later, we had them out. We have used them several times. Over the last two or three years, we have used them at least 3 or 4 times.

We wait for one of the Angie's Lists specials to come out to do that. I have given them A marks all the way across for every time they have been out here.

The work was done with no add-ons. Great experience.

I talked to Champion Garage Doors before purchasing the deal, and decided to go that route as it seemed to be the easiest way to have them evaluate the door and make any minor repairs. I was told that as soon as the notification reached them from Angie's List, I would be contacted to schedule the work. I made the purchase on 6/6, but didn't hear from Champion - I eventually called them at the end of the week and scheduled the work for Monday, 6/14. The technician did not show up. I called at about 4 PM and the person I spoke with apologized and said they'd reschedule for Tuesday, between 10-12. The technician finally arrived sometime between 12:30 - 1 PM on Tuesday. The technician was quick, evaluated the door and made his recommendations. They made sense to me, so I agreed to the work and it was completed quickly. He also checked out the garage door opener and was able to resolve on of the problems for me. He wasn't able to get the remote working again, but was able to sell me a new remote, which works fine. Everything seems to be working properly, and so far I'm satisfied with the result.

I took him up on the roller replacement, which he did in record time. I probably could have bought the rollers and done the work myself, but watching him do it and finding out exactly how NOT to do it, made me glad I paid him to do the job. It wasn't worth my time to go buy the parts and then figure out how to pull all the rollers off (including how NOT to pull the bottom roller off because it also holds the tension cable!) He was really an expert at his job and a super nice guy. He gave me a quick but thorough education on how my whole garage door really works, what needs to be maintained and how, and what to look at replacing next (cables and door bottom gasket). I would recommend and use them again when the need arises. But hopefully today's maintenance will delay that.

Our garage door wire that helps open the door snapped in the bitter cold. Someone from Champion Garage Doors was out to fix within a couple of days and the fix took less than half a day. They also installed a key pad while they were there which was not in the original scope of work but they gladly installed while there. I would recommend and use again.

The service went very good. I had one problem with them and that was that the first time I called them, they were to get a time to schedule and call me, but they didn't call. I called back on that day and they had lost the note. I found that to be a little irritating, but we rescheduled, they sent the person out at the time they were supposed to come out and they did a good job. I grade them a B because of the first call.

They never contacted me initially so 3 months later I called them. They where supposed to come out on a Wednesday and never showed. They where supposed to come on a Friday and never showed. When they did come out they called me even though the agreement was that the door would be unlocked and there is no need to call me. They said they will be there for 5 minutes and they are leaving. They returned unscheduled on a Monday and said that they are coming out but I had locked my door, so I had to return home in the middle of running errands and go unlock the door. Also they do not lubricate the chain, the tech said they do not do that because it uses a heavier oil. However in my invoice it states "lubed all moving components'. Finally they put the deal on Angie's List again and it is now listed for $10 less than I paid.

Showed up on time and preformed work at quoted price. Clean professional and fast.

Chris and Brett performed the garage door tune-up and it was a positive experience. They showed up on-time, were professional, and they educated me on garage door maintenance. I'm a new homeowner so I really appreciated the education because our garage door is our primary way in and out of our house and I knew nothing about garage doors. They were thorough with their inspection and worked quickly. I would definitely use Champion again. The only reason I gave a 'B' for responsiveness is because after I initially purchased Champion's coupon from Angie's List I didn't hear back from them for over a week. I had to call Champion and spoke to Rob; he apologized, explained there had been some changes with the way they receive orders from Angie's List, and immediately got me on the schedule for that same week. So overall it was a good experience.

Purchased garage door tune-up offered on this site. Used the online scheduling function allowing provider to come at any time on three days that showed as open. Nothing happened. No service. No contact. It's not worth my time to track them down if they aren't actually interested in doing any work. Will look for a way to get a refund from Angies since they promoted the offer, handled the purchase and operate the scheduling system.

Showed up on time, checked the door to make sure it was working properly, and lubricated the door hinges. All went great.

Replaced wheels, bearing and added a strut to top of the door.

This is a great company ! 1st Rob sent an email confirming date and time. He was very friendly on the phone which is always a great asset to any company! Chris showed up on time and ready to get the job done! He had someone with in training ( sorry forgot name) who was also very friendly and polite. Chris asked me if I had any questions or concerns about the door. I told him the garage door openers were not working very well. So he showed me what would cause them to stop working. And got them working great! He also showed me how the bottom door seal was coming off and missing in certain parts . He replaced it for 64.00. Which was worth it . He also took the time to show me how to lubricate the door for on going maintenance . Chris was so friendly with a super positive attitude! He was very knowledgable and professional . I could tell he really enjoys his work :) the door is older ( it's in bad shape) so I asked him about replacing it. He gave me a brochure and went over different options and gave me some price quotes which was really helpful. He also gave me a price quote on the 3rd door which currently does not have an opener. He even took the old garage door opener off my hands so I don't have the trouble of hauling it to the dump!! we moved into the house about a month ago and don't know any of the businesses around here. I feel like we hit the jackpot !

Rob took my call last night and set up an appointment for today and called before showing up during window we had set up. He fixed the broken spring on the large door and quickly replaced the spring on the 3rd stall door when I asked at the last minute. He was on time, professional, had maintenance suggestions and stayed until all my questions were answered. I would use Champion again.

Champion Garage Doors came out for a $29 tune up Angie's List Deal I purchased. Service men preformed the tune-up and made recommended hardware replacement/upgrade suggestions, which I agreed to as my garage door was at the end of it's life and needed it. I found the Champion Garage Door guys to be communicative, on-time, knowledgable and very friendly. They explained everything to me as they were doing it and showed me problem areas throughout the tune-up, and recommendations. I decided to purchase the additional work - replacement of rollers and bottom door seal as my garage door is pretty old and it hadn't been done before. The work was very quick, and afterwards they showed me how to care for my garage door in the future by lubricating the key spots to extend it's life. Overall, a great experience. Would call them again.

We are new homeowners and within 6 months the old garage door opener broke (it was 20+ years old). ?We found Champion on Angie's List with a coupon to come and check out the opener. ?The rep looked at the unit and said that the product had been discontinued and that we would need a new opener. ? We had a home warranty so we asked them to work with the warranty company to file their report and help us submit a claim to be reimbursed for this. ?The rep was very professional and helpful, as it took several calls with the home warranty service and being put on hold until he could submit his information to the right department. ? The rep also noticed that our old system didn't open the garage door all the way, so he recommended a new side track system. ?The new opener is SO quiet compared to the old, and the jack shaft side opening system is great as the door goes up another several inches compared to the old. ?We are very happy with the service and would recommend them. ? I would note that we did have to price shop around as we had the home warranty to cover the majority of the cost. ?The home warranty company did have to call around to other providers to confirm that the estimate was in line with other companies. I googled the Liftmaster opener and it costs about $300 so the installation service was about $200. ?

Lost my contact information, didn't ask for it when rescheduling. Provider wrote down first appointment for wrong day, then didn't show up on reschedule date. Called when I wasn't home, therefore didn't show up on the second reschedule. Finally performed service on the third reschedule. Technician (Chris) was polite, apologetic, efficient, and informative. Entire visit was about 15 minutes and included the tech lubricating all the moving parts and tightening the brackets that hold the opener in place.
