CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS

Description of Work: It might have been an easy out to give Champion a B as on the first trip out there was a slight oversight on the garage door tuneup but when I called to bring up the matter, he was out the next morning with an apology , a quick fix and a credit toward future work. I find this kind of service very rare these days - no "passing the buck" with Champion.

Description of Work: The service person contacted us within a day or two after we called and left a message and came when scheduled. He tuned up the garage door and put new wheels on the track. He was professional and appeared knowledgeable. The door appeared to work properly when he had completed his work. However, the problem that we had with the garage door originally, returned within 2 days (the door kept stopping as it either lifted or lowered - sometimes several times within one attempt to either close it or open it.). The door continues to stop sporadically as we open or close it. We have called the company at least twice and left voice messages reporting the problem and we have not received a return call.

Description of Work: Replaced my garage door with a white, windowless one (I wanted a windowless one to keep out the cold.) Didn't replace the opener because that wasn't needed. | |My only complaint is that the boards they added above the garage door to make it fit will need caulking-and-painting, and Champion said that they don't caulk-and-paint, and they didn't offer to send someone from another company to do that.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a garage door tuneup. They were very quick about contacting me to schedule the appointment. The person doing the tuneup arrived on time and did the work he was supposed to do very quickly. My garage door needed a bit of extra work, so he did that as well at a minimal cost. All in all, the appointment took about 30-45 minutes and was done for a reasonable cost. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a new garage door opener and wanted our garage door tuned up before we installed it. Champion came out and did the tune-up and notified us that we will eventually be needing to have some pieces replaced due to our original garage door opener being installed incorrectly. The service person showed us the wear and tear, provided us with a quote, and told us to contact their main office if we wanted to set up the repair appointment. So far we haven't booked the appointment, but we would likely use Champion Garage doors again.

Description of Work: We had one of our garage door cables break. Though the cable was an upper grade, they had it and were able to fix it. If not for Angie's list (which I immediately joined) who knows what kind of service, if any, I would have received. Googling is not the answer for your emergent home fixes. Thank you!

Description of Work: Aajusted, lubricated garage doors. Installed new all new nylon wheels on both doors and installed new seals for the bottom of the doors. The installation went very well and I learned a lot about garage doors from the technician, he was very nice and professional.

Description of Work: The door didn't close. They replaced the rollers. Had to come back a second time (very responsive) and made further adjustments. Has worked fine every since. I would certainly call on them again.
