RAPID REGROUT

Dan returned my call promptly and we set up a time within a week. First day he called and said he would be a little late. Second and final day on time. He was friendly, knew what he was doing and kept the mess to a minimum. The quality of his work was top notch.

They quote that they gave me was right in line with one of the other quote from the quote from the one that we actually went with. The pricing seems to be fine. He’s very responsive in terms of coming out within a matter of day once we connected to give me the quote so that was good. The quote wasn't as thorough as the one we went with which I guess the main reason why we choose the other one. There was a little more detail in the other quote. I just didn't feel comfortable that he knew exactly what he was going getting into in doing for us.

Dan was punctual, performed great work, and kept the job within initial estimates. The kitchen was always cleaned after each work day, and he was very pleasant to work with. The finished backsplash looks gorgeous and we are very happy. The combination of quality and competitive pricing makes Rapid Regrout one of the best values around. We would definitely use them again.

Overall decent job. But some of the grout areas still had moisture underneath so the grout stayed a darker color than the rest. After not using the shower for a week to let it dry further it was still the same. Rapid Regrout rep said he could stain the grout to match the rest, he did, but not thoroughly or completely. It looks a bit strange. The overall job was done well and the clean-up and professionalism was very good. But we are not cosmetically happy with the color differences now in the grout.

They did good quality work. They were dependable. They were not overly expensive; they were fairly priced, and they finished in a timely manner.

The owner of the company came byon the day he was called and gave us an estimate which I demed to be reasonable. We set up a date for him to do the job on the following Tuesday starting at 9AM. He called the Monday before the work to confirm that he would be there the following morning right after he did a couple of minor finishing tasks on another job in the same area. On Tuesday he showed up a little after 9:20 and appologized for being late. However he went right to work and finished the tasks which had to be completed early in the afternoon. He cleaned up all of the mess created by removing the old grout. On Friday morning he returned at the time appointed and completed the job in relatively short order. Once again, upon completion he completely cleaned up after himself. The final cost of the project actually turned out to be sdlightly less than the estimate given. The job was very well done. If I ever need someone to work on grouting again - I would not hesitate to call them back again.

When the soap dish in the tile around the bathtub broke off, we realized the entire shower needed new grout. Dan and his helper (also named Dan) did a great job removing the old grout, regrouting and recaulking and sealing the tile, and reattaching the soap dish. The main work was done in two visits, but Dan returned to fix a minor problem area. He was very easy to work with and was very accommodating about returning until everything looked brand new. The two-year guarantee is another plus.

As noted above, other than a miscommunication on the start of the job, the process was fine. We had white subway tile installed and he did a great job cutting everything to fit around lights and counters. We also had some tough up grout work which did come out A+.

As our tile was on a deadline, being shot for a catalog, Dan from Rapid Regrout worked with us and saw the project through from beginning to end. He spent many long days and late nights in order to get the project complete on time. Dan was forward thinking, responsive and easy to work with. He made smart suggestions to the tile design and we were glad for his input.

We used Rapid Regrout to regrout our master shower. First let me say the final outcome/product is great. Our 29 year old shower looks almost brand new. The guys were flexible with scheduling, punctual for estimates and the regrouting work, and were nice as well. I highly recommend this company and will likely use them again soon for our kids bathroom.

All the work was completed in 1 long day. The completed projects looked fantastic and like a new installation.

Dan was a pleasure to work with and did not balk at my attempts to repair the grout myself, which had made it worse. He came when he said, worked through a hot day with no air conditioning and did a beautiful job. Looks like new. He even repaired the grout around the sink. Very professional, quick, good natured, trustworthy and a good price to boot. I would definitely use him again.

Everything went well, but we decided to have an out of work friend do the job instead.

Wonderful job, metiticulous and proud of his woik. It shows. This was a tricky application as we had less than perfectly straight walls in one section. Worked with home owner for a great solution.

Dan Holm was great to work with. He and his assistant listened carefully to what I wanted done and made helpful suggestions re choice of tile pattern that I hadn't thought of. They did excellent work, paying great attention to detail. Their work literally transformed the appearance of the bathrooms. Their bid was substantially lower that the other one I received. I'd certainly use them again on my rental properties or at my home.

Dan was very personable and knowledgeable. I decided to go with the other company that gave me an estimate, but if I had it to do over, I would pick Dan and Rapid Regrout.

They did a good job. They did it when they said they were going to do it.

Overall, I would recommend Dan and Rapid Regrout for shower regrout jobs.

-Dan (the owner) was responses to my initial call requesting -He promptly provided me with a quote for labor and noted the various materials that may be needed. -I asked Dan to start the following week (as my previous contractor never showed up on the day he was to begin the project) and Dan adjusted his schedule to accommodate my request. -Dan showed up on time to begin the project - he was courteous and very accommodating with my schedule. -The job required a fair bit more time that I think Dan had planned, but he never complained, nor did he rush the job. Dan is very detailed in his work and never cut corners to save time. He is very patient and this sort of detailed work suits him well. -Overall he made 4 trips (2 days to lay the stone, 1 trip to grout, 1 trip to seal) to our home and his price was very reasonable. -Dan did an excellent job and I would use him again in the future and recommend him to others. I wish every experience I had with a contractor went this smoothly.

We met with several contractors to get estimates on this project. From the beginning our biggest concern was making sure that our subfloor was in good condition prior to installing the tile because we were concerned that it was weak and we did not want to run into problems down the road. We wanted our tiling project to be done right the first time around. When Dan came to our home he was on time and very pleasant. He agreed to pull up the laminate and vinyl and check the subfloor. Based on that and the ratings on this website we hired Dan for our tiling project. He was available to start within a week or two of contacting him. We purchased all of the materials (tile, backerboard, thinset and grout) and had them in the garage and ready for Dan and his crew when they arrived. The project started out great and on time. Once they removed the old flooring they discovered that our subfloor had a layer of gypsum poured over the plywood and that it had a large area between our sink, stove and island with lots of cracks in it and also was not level. The subfloor appeared to dip down it a couple of areas. My husband was home that day and asked Dan what to do about it. Dan said that he would take care of it and that since we had the gypsum layer we did not need the wonderboard we had purchased and to return it. We trusted what he said and returned the wonderboard. Dan used some sort of red tape on a couple of the weak areas and then continued laying the tile. Big, Big mistake! within a couple of days the grout in that general area cracked and had to be redone. Then during the following week we started to notice that the floor did not feel solid, had some give to it, the area between the sink and stove had a dip in it and the tiles were already starting to come loose. The floor has a squishy sound to it when walking on it. We started doing some research online and calling other tiling contractors for second opinions about this situation. What we learned was very bad news. We now know without a doubt that Dan should have pulled up the entire gypsum layer and fixed our subfloor prior to installing the tile. In bringing our concerns to Dan he agrees that part of our floor should be redone however we want the entire floor redone because it is not solid and we have been advised by everyone we have talked to that it is only a matter of time before the rest of the floor starts to come loose or crack. After several emails back and forth between us and Dan he says he will redo the floor but that we will have to re-buy all of the tile and materials and pay him extra to pull up the bad tile job they did. We will agree to pay extra for the removal of the gypsum layer and any additional repair to the subfloor that was not included in the original estimate of course but as far as paying for all new materials again and removing the bad tile job they did in order to get back to square one that should be out of Dan's pocket. Bottom line is that he made a bad decision to lay the tile on a weak subfloor and needs to make it right. If the existing tile cannot be saved he will need to buy new tile. Angie's List customer service - PLEASE HELP US! We feel we are being taken advantage of and that the project we hired Dan to do has not been completed to our satisfaction. Dips, cracked grout and loose tile in less than a week??? This contractor should be ashamed! Think of the major mess and inconvenience that we now have to deal with. In addition to the above problems with the tile one of Dan's crew members gouged our kitchen wall (which we just painted and now have to patch up and repaint) and did a poor job of putting the quarter round trim back on. In the space by our pantry it's not even the same color as the rest and does not look professional.

Dan was meticulous in his work. He clearly cared about doing a good job.

Like all home projects, it starts with something small (a loose tile), then after the true problem is discovered and repaired, the initial job is completed. Dan was patient throughout the process.
