RAPID REGROUT

He does good work. Dan is not quite finished with one of the jobs and will be coming back. We were satisfied with his communication and workmanship.

The work went very well and Dan (and Dan) was (were) very easy to work with. Had a lot of things going on at the same time and they were very flexible. The new tile made a very ugly bathroom look classy. The regrouted showers look like new, and the fireplace especially looks fantastic. They even called in a carpet guy when the seam from the carpet to the new tile was lumpy. The job included a lot of small items that other tile installers would probably not want to bother with. However, Dan took the same care with the little items as the big ones. Pleasure to work with and I'm sure I will again.

I cannot say enough about Dan Holm, owner of Rapid Regrout. Our shower is totally tiled in Travertine stone tile and the curb to enter was breaking down and water was getting under the tiles. We had seven or eight contractors look at the job and got every answer under the sun. Some were priced very high because they would be ripping out the whole shower floor and redoing some of the wall tiles etc. We were very frustrated because five out of the group didn't get back to us at all!! We then contacted Dan and he responded right away making an effort to stop by and give me an estimate. He explained a couple reasons why maybe we did not get a good response from some contractors which made a lot of sense to us. He explained exactly how he would fix our shower and offered some times to do the work. We scheduled the day and he arrived when he said he would, was extremely pleasant as was his assistant and was very meticulous about the work. All messes were cleaned up. When all was completed we asked about another problem in another bath tub surround and he offered to clean out the old grout and recaulk that tub surround while he was still hereI That looks beautiful as well as our shower! We would highly recommend Rapid Regrout to anyone who wants tile or stone repair or do new install. This is an experienced and knowledgeable provider and you won't be disappointed. We have worked with many contractors over the years and Dan at Rapid Regrout stands out near the top of the list. Joy S.

It went incredibly well. Dan has good insight into what will and will not work and look nice in a bathroom, and has a good eye for detail. He is honest about what he thinks is needed (for example, he disagreed with the opinion of another contractor that we probably had mold behind our shower walls--even though demolishing the shower would have been a far bigger job for him). Dan showed up when he said he would, was willing to add some time on to the project when we decided to tile some additional areas, and did a great job to boot! His prices are very fair. He is also a really nice guy.

They were very helpful in deciding the design to use, keeping it simple, but elegant. We had already picked the Travertine Marble we wanted, but had chosen a little too much of one tile that would have made it too complicated. They made sure it was laid out correctly and had a nice trim all around. Like all jobs you need to watch to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it or you could be disappointed, but they were very accommodating and did a good job cleaning up after themselves... they even did all the cutting in the yard to keep all the dust outside, out of the house and garage. We had about 5 companies bid on the job beforehand and they were all pretty close in their estimates, but Rapid Regrout seemed more similar to our personality and temperament and actually came in under their bid. We told them they should change their name though... makes them sound like they mostly do only regrout, which is not true and suggested they post more pictures of their work so people could see how good they are.

I was in the process of fixing my house up for sale and knew the tub surround was horrible. A friend suggested getting it regrouted by Rapid and even though I considered it a stop-gap to tearing out and retiling I decided to try it. I was amazed at the end result. The tile had been in great shape and the new grout made the whole thing look new. The price was great, they showed up when they said they would and did a few extra touches to get it looking just right. Very pleased with the whole process and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hi - I love owner performed services, this is the 2nd time I used Dan however I did solicit another vendor from Angie's list, who didn't bother to come look at the project and just quoted a high bid. Dan, however, talked through it and did look at it prior to the work. He did regret on old subway tile type bathroom wall tile, while the focus was on the shower space he took initiative and did some spots on other areas in the bathroom. I would hire again and recommend.

Dan was very responsive to my inquiry. He suggested that I email him pictures of the issues so that I wouldn't have to take off of work to meet with him to show him the damage. He contacted me shortly after, gave me a fair quote, and we scheduled his visit for soon after. The tub in our master bathroom is very large so when it is filled with water, it is pretty heavy. The builders (our house was finished in January 2013) used regular bathroom caulk around the tub which started to separate after about a year. Also, the grout between the tub and the wood encasement started to fall out. When Dan saw the issues, he immediately identified that he needed a product different than what they had used because it would likely last longer. He made a trip to the store and came back to finish the job. He did miss fixing the grout on the encasement, but when I called him later to let him know that, he apologized profusely and we made arrangements for him to come again in the very near future. Since Dan fixed our tub, it is looking great. I suspect it will for a long time to come. I look forward to hiring Rapid Regrout again in the future should we decide to replace or add tile to our house.

No complaints, did a great job at a reasonable price.

All the work went well and we are pleased with the results. The price quoted for the jobs was accurate. Dan offered suggestions and alternatives as the projects progressed and we were glad to have his expertise and guidance during the projects. We believe the cost of the projects was worth the results and would recommend Dan and Rapid Regrout to anyone considering a ceramic tile project.

I had completed some of the grout removal myself and Dan worked with me on price--I feel it was a fair deal. These guys are so careful around tile to not break or scuff the surface of any tiles, which is awesome, because I am good at accidentally breaking and scuffing tile when removing grout. Dan helped me out of a bind in my situation, was prompt with callbacks and was fair on price.

I'm extremely pleased. I selected Rapid Regrout after soliciting three separate bids. Dan and his crew were professional and a pleasure to work with. Caulking the bathtub was actually not in my original scope but they were able to accommodate it. My grout looks fabulous and the caulk lines are perfect.

Dan Holm, the owner, did an outstanding job on the shower stall. He was professional, punctual and did excellent work. The shower stall looks amazing! I have contacted him to do some grouting work on another shower in my home. Highly recommend.

The work was great. The only lacking item was the responsiveness for getting back to me. I believe that it was about three days for him to return the phone call. I would have liked something sooner. With that being said, the work was over and above what I expected. Clean and efficient and very quick. He even caulked the second bathroom in the basement "just because." Highly recommend him for future work!

Dan came to the house, looked at the floor and gave an estimate to place ceramic tile in the laundry room, short hallway, the master bathroom and upstairs bathroom. I asked how long the job would take, Dan said it could be done in three to four days. He started the following week. We had purchased tile and when he saw the tile, he diplomatically asked if we were sure that was the tile we wanted. We had searched all weekend and could only find a plain, white tile. He offered to delay the job if we wished to look for other tile. We did so, which set the job back another week as the tile had to be ordered. Dan did two days of prep work while we waited for the tile. He was back the following Monday to do the installation. He had one person with him to help. Dan originally quoted the job for up to four days. He did two days of prep before the tile arrived, then started again on a Monday. Dan and his assistant came to the house Monday through Friday of that week, sometmes working only partial days. Each day, I asked how things were progressing and when the job would be done. Each day, I heard "another day or two". By Friday, the job had gone from 4 days to 7 days (not counting the time we waited for the tile to arrive), with the guys coming some days for only 3 or 4 hours. When construction involves your main entry door, the laundry room and two bathrooms, it becomes very disruptive. I finally told Dan that they had to be done and out of the house the next Monday, because we work from home and had to have quiet during the day and had other projects that were scheduled based on his original estimate of a four-day job. On Monday morning, when I asked Dan how much longer he would be in the house, his response was "an hour and a half". When he left at noon, the job was still not done. When I called to tell him that he would not be able to come back the next day, he seemed very surprised, although I had told him repeatedly that he would not have access to the house after Monday. He said the reason he didn't finish was that he didn't have the right tools. I have to hire someone else to finish the work that he did not do. I cannot understand why he would not just finish the job. The quality of the work that was done was good, the communication was not good, the estimate of time to finish the job was fiction and the respect for our home and our other priorities was lacking. If you don't mind strangers in your home for an unlimited period of time, the ceramic tile work is fine.

Dan and his coworker did a great job replacing and sealing the grout in our bathtub area. He even touched up a couple areas in need that were outside the scope of the original job. Prompt, courteous, professional and competitively priced.

It took a bit to get things scheduled but once we had a schedule settled, Dan came on time for all three visits. He explained exactly what he would do and gave us an estimate for all the work we wanted done. The work was done over a three day period and was of very high quality. The final price was exactly as quoted in the estimate. I was most impressed with all aspects of my dealing with Rapid Regrout and would recommend this company without hesitation.

The entire process went very well. They were very responsive when contacted, helpful in the decision making processes as well as thorough and precise in the installation process. Their price was the most competitive we could locate. I'd unconditionally recommend them.

They were good. They know what they were doing and they do it well. Their demeanor was good and they were friendly and they were fine.

The shower floor needed to have the grout removed and then we had to leave it to dry before putting down the new. So we could not use the shower for a few days. We examined the likelihood of replacing the floor tile by means of removal and agreed that there was space to put the new tile down over the old instead. It took much less effort and has a very stable base. I bought the tile myself and then the color grout that Dan suggested. Both Dans were fun to talk to and very helpful and agreeable. i am very happy with the results.

Our lower level shower has white tile and white grout. After many years in our house, the grout was stained and rotting in areas. I was convinced we would have to gut the shower and start over. I started by doing some research on Angie's List and found Rapid Re-grout and was impressed with the photos and reviews of Dan's work. I decided to call for a quote to find out if the tile shower could be repaired. Dan came to our house within a couple days of initial email to him. He provided a quote and estimated two days to complete the project. We agreed upon a date of service. He arrived promptly on that day and worked his magic over two days. My husband and I are amazed at the final result. All of the old grout was removed and replaced with fresh white grout. Dan acid washed the tile floor to remove stains. Our shower looks brand new! The work was completed within the quoted timeframe and his estimate was 100% accurate. I would not hesitate to contact Dan again to perform tile re-grout and repair.
