MR RAIN IRRIGATION

All in all I’m satisfied. They did need to excavate existing landscaping and did not return the area to its original appearance. I was also hoping they would provide (they did not) a cut sheet/map of the installation to prevent accidental digging into the irrigation lines.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Would not trust these guys at all… reckless driver with no intent for anybody’s lives, extreme road rage on the road. Cuts in front of drivers and almost got someone killed. Find someone else.

My repair job went poorly. After scheduling a "repair" with the home office, the irrigation guy came almost two hours late to inform me I had a leak... he didn't fix my leak, he just told me I had a leak. I already knew I had a leak, as the irrigation guy who came out today was the same one who did a system start-up in the spring. At that point he had told me I had a leak and that I would need to schedule another appointment to repair it. So I scheduled said repair. This is how it went: Irrigation guy: "Yup, you have a leak." Me: "I know I have a leak. Can you repair it?" Irrigation guy: "I have another appointment today, your repair will take 2 hours." Me: "So are you going to repair it?" Irrigation guy after calling the home office: "I can come back Thursday." (a week later) Me: "So you came out just to confirm the leak I said I needed repaired?" Irrigation guy: "Yes" Me: "Never mind, I'll call someone else" (I walked away) The irrigation guy left my house without even placing the cover back on the system. I do not recommend these folks for your in-ground sprinkler needs.

I sent a message and left a voicemail, they never bothered to return my call.

I've never written a review before and generally try to just move on from any bad experiences, but we had a terrible experience with Mr. Rain; if I could give them a negative number of stars for professionalism, I would. After an overwhelmingly positive recommendation from a trusted friend we hired Mr. Rain to turn on, inspect, and fix any issues with our existing sprinkler system (we moved in last fall and the system hadn't been used for a number of years). We had so many issues spanning 3 months, I can't possibly cover them all here, but these are the main issues that happened. 1) Our first appointment was booked multiple weeks in advance. I called and left a message to talk with them about the system because we knew ahead of time of some repairs we wanted them to be prepared for. They never called back, but finally emailed to set up the first appointment after I emailed them. Two days before the first appointment, they left a message that they will be arriving the next day, one day earlier than the appointment, instead of the planned appointment day. We had to completely rearrange our schedules last minute to accommodate this. 2) Service guy shows up the next day (so sorry, cannot recall his name), immediately sees he will need to go get a part for the job. This is the exact part I called and emailed to warn them about so they could be prepared. He was gone for 30 minutes, came back and replaced that part. Just after he entered the house to turn the water on and I moved some items in the garage so he would have access to the system he suddenly said he had to leave. He left very abruptly, said he would mark the job as incomplete, and they would schedule a 2nd appointment. 3) After hearing nothing back and Mr. Rain not returning our calls, 3.5 weeks later the same guy shows up unannounced at 8am and starts digging in the landscaping. Aside from them not making an appointment with us for this day/time, we have rock in our landscaping and the digging was VERY loud. We were mortified, as we had house guests staying with us for a friend's wedding and they were still sleeping. I called the office and left a message about the problem with not making an appointment with us and asked them to call back to discuss; never got a return call. The guy replaced a couple copper and PVC pipe spots, dug up a section of our lawn, then told us this would be a bigger job and we'd have to discuss the next steps later. We never did receive a call back after that. 4) We called back twice within the next week and a half; no answer and we never received a call back. 5) A couple weeks later after talking with a different company that is already WAY MORE PROFESSIONAL and can actually communicate with us, we called Mr. Rain to find out how much we owed (there was never any mention of money/estimate the entire time). They didn't answer and didn't call back. They sent an email with the bill. We paid the bill and would never, ever recommend or use this company again

They never finished the job. They tried to fix a broken/leaking main line in our backyard, but could find the leak. They stopped working on it and 3 weeks later when our next appointment was finally scheduled, they didn't show up. The owner was advised by their scheduler to contact me directly to set up another time, and despite 2 calls and 3 emails, he never did. I will never hire them again. I have used Mr Rain for several years to do spring startup and winterization, but after this year's neglect by the owner, I have to say Mr Rain has lost a customer for life.

Working with Mr. Rain was a pleasure. They came when they said they would and did what they promised. They left our yard in good shape and my perennials were not disturbed. I think the price was fair and I’m very happy.

Used Mr Rain for many years and they have been very responsive, friendly and cost effective in their work. They are my go to for any irrigation work.

Twice, I requested quotes on Angies List for an irrigation system and twice I did not receive a response.

Contacted Mr Rain through Angie's List. Caroline got back to me quickly and set up a time for Luke to come by for a quote. He was on time and provided a reasonable quote. Scheduled a couple weeks out for the install. Luke came on time that morning and had it done in one day. He programmed the system per my instructions, and bang! I don't have to move hoses anymore. Thanks Mr Rain!

The individual who showed up at our house should not be working on irrigation systems. He left out landscaping a mess and installed a sprinkler head in our yard that is in excess of 1 inch above grade which will cause a problem when mowing( all of our other heads are at or a little below grade) We will have to hire a professional to fix his work. I want to clear up a few things from my original review and to respond to your response. I received a referral from my landscaper for your services. When i called him regarding the problems he said that he would get ahold of you and that the owner would give me a call. I did not receive a call and wrote the review. In response to wanting to know how my landscaping was messed up, i have attached a few pictures of the second spot your tech worked on(this landscaping was installed the day before your tech worked on it and did not look like this before your tach worked on it) The first spot i told your tech the way he was leaving it was unacceptable and he fixed it. I did not look and the second spot until after he had left. As far as the type of sprinkler head installed, we were not watering landscaping, we were watering grass. If a tech was installing a sprinkler head above grade in our lawn, i would hope that he would give the customer the choice and not decide for him. Look at the pictures and maybe you should have a talk with your tech, he is representing your company.

They showed up when expected and were efficient.

I had Luke come out in the Fall of 2017 to give me a quote and we scheduled the work for the spring of 2018. His wife manages the office and does a great job of being really communicative with the late start to spring and getting the job on the books right away. The day they did the work, Luke and his guys were at my house first thing in the morning and worked 11 hours to get it done in one day! My husband was late coming home from a business trip, but Luke stuck around til 730PM to explain the wireless system to him while I put my toddler to bed. Super impressed with the price, number of zones and sprinkler heads and drip lines put in, minimal damage to lawn and all-around great experience. Highly recommend.

They started up the irrigation system and had to come out a second time to repair some wiring issues. The latter did cost extra but the work was good.

Went fine as usual but was confronted with a 27% ($20), unannounced increaser if fee; not happy not getting any notification about price increase. May shop around.

Really well. The man they sent was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He is also the same person that came out to winterize the last two years. It was nice to have the consistency and he was really nice. Also, they were great with scheduling.

Very responsive, quick turnaround time.

System works as it originally had (fixed breaks) but the installation was not done as quoted or agreed upon. I would not use them again.

He was right on time, and made a couple of notes about some things to fix when they return in the spring to start things back up....

The man who did the work was very professional. He did a good job of figuring out any quirks to the old system. The person responded to my request for information on a very timely basis. My only complaint is that I requested an invoice be mailed to me, which I never received.

Great. He was on time, very courteous and knowledgable about the system and had great recommendations for future use.

The system took two days to install due to rain, but they did a great job and were very professional to deal with. The yard was a little more chewed up than I expected, but I've never had one installed before and while I didn't expect that them to be miracle workers in putting the yard back together, I thought it would be little more tidy and pushed back together. But, that could be normal.

All boxes were located and one valve repaired.

Showed up early and had the job completed in the late afternoon. Would recommend to anyone that they use this company. Will use again for all of my yard needs.
