Description of Work: Jim was prompt and courteous. He fixed a disconnected dryer vent and cleaned out the vent to the outside. It was so clogged it could have been a dangerous situation. He put in a new light over the kitchen sink. He also put together and hung a shelf/TV stand. I was very pleased with all the completed tasks. I would use Jim again for future projects.

HE WAS call prom
Description of Work: I had a boiler that needed to have rearrangement of the piping in the cramped space it was in. Jim returned my call promptly and although he told me that he didn't think that he had the license to do HVAC work, he came to my house to verify that it was work that he didn't do. He was very personable and professional. He was unable to do the work and I appreciated that he was straightforward regarding this. He offered helpful suggestions but he didn't do anything to "make work" for himself. I am calling him back for handyman work.

Description of Work: Jim returned our call same day. We needed a combination roof, carpentry & stucco repair. I emailed him pics of the repairs needing to be done on our home's exterior. He responded next day saying it was not something he would undertake - but he did give us a couple of good referrals. Straight-up guy. I wish he had been able to do the work - he responded the most professionally of all contractors we contacted. I will call him first if I need other work done. We are still waiting for contractor we hired to show up & begin the work. SURPRISE!!

Description of Work: Called Jim and left message inquiring about his ability to perform some window glazing and repair work on our house. Although the job was not one he was able to take, he called back in response to my message very promptly. He was great to talk to and offered other possible solutions for finding someone who could do the work. I appreciated his professionalism very much and will keep him in mind for future opportunities. Many repair people would simply not reply and I appreciated getting a call-back with helpful advice for altenative solutions.

I did not do the ceiling fan at the Wallace place because there was no electricity or mounting box in the ceiling...hence it needed to be wired by a licensed electrician...which I'm not. According to my records I gave her the number of my trusted electrician and wished her well with her project. How does being helpful to this client rate a 'C' when I didn't do any work?

Very well in both cases.
Description of Work: I hired Jim to paint some areas I could not reach and do some minor repairs on windows. I had used him before. I am pleased with all aspects of the job in both cases. I also hired him to install an access hatch in a high ceiling at a church where I coordinate maintenance. I did an excellent job under difficult circumstances at a price we could afford.
