Our existing alarm was installed by an out-of-state company (Monitronics) and their monitoring charges were extremely high. I called GSSC to see if they could take over monitoring of our system and they discovered that the panel was "locked down" by Monitronics to prevent any change in programming (another reason to avoid Monitronics). So we had to have a new control panel installed and decided to upgrade our system to cellular communication. The new base charge for monitoring ($15.95/month) is less than half of what we were paying, so even with the installation charge and the cellular upgrade we will be saving a lot of money. The sales person stopped by my house the same day I called and had a detailed quote for us the next day. It took about 10 days to schedule an installation date, but the installer was professional and very thorough. I only wish we would have found GSSC long ago.
Description of Work: They upgraded our existing alarm system and took over our monitoring. They installed a new panel, a cellular transmitter, and checked the operation of all of our existing sensors.

I called them for a bid and they very promptly called me back and made an appointment to come give me an estimate. The sales person was very knowledgeable and professional. Their price for installation was better than the other company I called, but their monitoring costs were more and they require a three year monitoring contract. I didn't want to sign a three-year contract, so I went with the other company.

Went great! The installed showed up on time and was very professional.
Description of Work: Our new home owners policy required us to have our alarm service monitored. I called 5 different vendors and GSSC was the best on price. They came out to check the system, make the necessary changes to have the current system monitored and make some recommendations to further enhance our home security.

VERY SATISFIED! THE SERVICE WAS ON A SATURDAY WITHIN A COUPLE HOURS. HE SPENT 30 MINUTES FIXING PROBLEM, DOUBLE CHECKED HIS WORK, AND WAS POLITE. HE OFFERED SUGGESTIONS FOR ADDING MORE SECURITY TO THE ATTACHED GARAGE.
Description of Work: I WAS PAINTING THE INTERIOR OF MY HOUSE AND REMOVED THE COVER OF THE ALARM PANEL. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE THE COVER, A WIRE CAME LOOSE AND THE TROUBLE INDICATOR LIGHT WENT ON. I CALLED GSS SERVICE AND A GUY CAME OUT WITHIN 2 HOURS. HE REPLACED THE WIRE, RESET THE ALARM, AND TESTED THE SYSTEM TWICE.
