Left a message over the weekend, estimate Tuesday, completed work on Wednesday!! AND it looks good. No mess!! I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I need concrete or waterproofing. Seth was great to work with.

I called for an estimate and was told someone would contact me. A month later, I've not received any contact from them. Very disappointing for a company so highly rated here.

Excellent. I didn't expect guys to have an eye for color, but they selected the perfect color for the stamped concrete patio. The work was very professional.

I received the contact information for this contractor through a different contractor. Was slightly nervous since I hadn't used the first contractors services yet. Seth went out of his way to work around my difficult schedule and provide a bid in a timely fashion. He patiently explained what he would provide and answered all of my questions. He then answered follow up questions for me later and waited without complaint while I attained competing bids. His bid was lowest and most detailed by far. His bid also included work that the others would have skimped on. The day the work was completed I was not available to be home but made arrangements for his access. He kept me informed of how the job was going, addressed a last minute request of mine to remove some landscape concrete from my property, and left a note explaining the billing. He even texted a picture for me of the newly laid block! When I arrived home I expected to find a certain amount of mess. After all, they had busted up concrete, hauled it out and filled in a large hole created by the void. The first thing I saw when I came home was a neatly stacked pile of extra soil to use as the fill area compacted and needed more. Even the fill provided was quality. Then I was shocked to see that the areas they worked in were cleaner than when I had left them! They cleaned up perfectly and left the rest of the house undisturbed. The work, from what I can tell, was top notch. A perfect experience from start to finish. I am looking forward to when I can use this company again for future projects. There will be many and I will be sure to let others know what quality, personal and professional service they provide!

I really liked the work and clean up. Time will only tell if the material that they applied will perform as promised. The material is guaranteed to stop any future cracking/recracking and it is supposed to have made the basement walls several times stronger.

It couldn't have gone better! Seth came over to give me an estimate for the job, and gave me a few days to get the basement cleared out. The crew arrived on schedule and got to the demolition work quickly. By noon another crew had arrived to take away the construction debris, and the work of installing the drain tile and sump pump was already well underway. They had cement work to do the next day, but totally cleaned up at the end of day one. My garage was used as storage for all of the construction debris and I was very concerned about nails, but that garage floor has never been cleaner! That evening, there was a torrential downpour, and even though the sump pump wasn't plugged in yet, the drain system kept the basement dry for the first time in a couple of weeks. The next morning, after they poured the cement and turned on the sump pump, all of that water went out into the yard. Given that it continued to rain all week, the dry basement was instant gratification for money well spent. The new windows look great, and I'm very pleased with how well this went, and how efficient Gardner Construction was in getting this big job done both quickly and effectively. They did two inspections of everything before leaving. They also noticed that my gutters were a problem, and fixed that before they left. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They did an excellent job. They were able to squeeze us in at short notice and got the job done quickly. We were really satisfied with what they did.

It was a seamless process

The salesman came and did a walk through of the basement, and around the exterior of the house. He was sure that we did not need a drain tile system, and that all of our wet basement issues could be solved by exterior means. He was very professional, and helpful. We had already had multiple estimates, and had been told by multiple companies that without any doubt we needed a drain tile system. While we would have liked to go with less expensive means of repair, we were not willing to take another chance at a wet basement. He did offer to install a drain tile system, but wanted us to know he felt it was unnecessary. We were impressed by the professionalism, and the fact that he did not try to upsell something he felt we didn't need. It is for that reason that when we are able to do some of the exterior work, Gardner Construction will be who we will call.

Very well. Jerry was a good communicator, professional, and very clean. He was also reasonable about covering the cost for a window we think was cracked during the process. I would recommend him to others on Angie's list, and would happily hire him again.

Had an issue with a little moisture in a basement room. Jerry was able to come out the next morning after I called for an estimate. He was very knowledgeable about not only his trade but also my location. Using that knowledge he proposed a money saving option of a drain tile without pump due to so little moisture and having sandy soil. I was very appreciative that! While he was there we also checked out a bowing wall which I ended up having core filled. He was very good at explaining the condition and probably causes of the foundation issue. Gardner was able to then come out two days later to complete complete all the work in about 5-6 hours which was pretty impressive. Jerry and the crew were professional, friendly and did their best to minimize dust and cleaned up very well. During the project they also ran into a bit of an unforseen issue but were able to adjust nicely. They also patched a couple spots on the interior and exterior that they came across. Final bill was right on the estimate and they even gave a bit of a discount for multiple jobs. In short, I would definitely recommend Gardner for any concrete, foundation or waterproofing issues.

It was fantastic! They showed up right on time, were very professional and friendly, and did a GREAT job. The repair work they did looks great and they took time to check for any small gaps and fill them as well. After their repair work, they made sure to leave their job site spotless. I would use them again without hesitation and I HIGHLY recommend them!

Great. Right on time, courteous, and got the job done. So far, basement is DRY. We will see once it warns up and all the snow melts--but looks good.

I contacted Gardner Construction and the owner came out the same day to look at our project (pour a new cement patio and pour a new front stoop) and give us a bid. He spent a lot of time talking about options for the patio and he was the only person (I got 3 other bids) that noticed that our window well which was in our patio area needed to be re dug and have a deeper well put in. He also took the time to explain to me what happened in a couple of areas on our driveway where we have had some cracking with our cement. Overall I was extremely impressed with Gardner Construction. We aren't ready to have the work done until the spring and if we hire Gardner Construction I will definately do another review once they have done the work.

We're very pleased with the quality of this work. Ryan was skilled, experienced, listened well, offered suggestions, and undertook the work to which we had agreed after providing a detailed bid. After inspecting our chimney, he recommended some additional repair which he completed at reasonable cost. This company was recommended to us by Rainbow Pest control whom we had contacted for purposes of mouse abatement. Rainbow then suggested we work with Gardner Construction to seal the multiple access points we had in our old brickwork. I would most certainly work with Gardner again, Ryan in particular, who was top-notch. I'm pleased to have the chance to pass this very positive recommendation on to others who are looking to have brick and cement work done.

Because of an unexpected need to purchase a vehicle right after we received the estimate from Gardner Construction, we were not able to use their services this fall. We did hire another contractor to solve our wet basement problem only because the price was a little less; but we're still hoping to use Gardner next spring for some of the outside work that needs to be done. I would recommend this company based on meeting one of the owners and on the great reviews they receive from Angie's List!

Seth was incredibly helpful - both in estimating the work that needed to be done and in the ultimate execution of the repair. Very professional and honest, in addition the bid was incredibly reasonable. I recommend them highly!

They were prompt, efficient, careful and picked up after themselves. The finished product in both instances was excellent.

We were very satisfied from start to finish. Seth came out and assessed the water problem we were having in our basement. He recommended new window wells that were a better fit, and repairing our grade. We have since had two huge rainfalls, without any problems. Seth also noticed our garage foundation was showing signs of deterioration from road salt. He made a recommendation to repair it. After researching, we agreed, and had them do the work.

Gardner Construction quality of work is acceptable. They were punctual, performed their work in a timely manner and clean the job-site when finished. The challenges were surrounding a dispute of the invoice from the quote. Gardner Construction represents their staff as well tenured professionals and mistakes of this kind does not occur. The experience we had from the initial engagement of mistakes on quote(s) and effective communication leaves me to believe this cannot be an isolated occurrence. The initial quote had miss-measurements that could have cost us significant money. We identified this to the staff and it was corrected. We asked for a copy of this document during the subsequent dispute and Gardner refused to share it with us. Expressing, they themselves couldn't understand the amount of work to be done. During the actual work it became apparent a misunderstanding on the quote to work being performed. Rather than stop and resolve they continued delivering services and demanded full payment. During the dispute Gardner acted unprofessional. They stopped by our residence without prior notice. They represented a invoice as original that was later identified as falsified. Last it was identified through the original invoice document and new measurements they themselves performed they overcharged by 30%.

From start to finish, this project went smoothly. Jerry and his team were on time, professional, and performed exceptional work. Jerry provided several options for replacing my concrete front steps and I'm extremely happy with the final result. Concrete is not inexpensive but the quality of the work more than justifies the price - my new front step will last a lifetime. The chimney repair turned out great as well.

Contacted the company, reached a real person right away. Bill was able to come out to look at the problem within a few hours (amazing). Since I was not at home, I could not look at the problem with him. When I asked him to come back on Saturday to talk more about the problem, he was happy to do it, and made sure I was comfortable with the proposed solution. He gave very clear instructions on how to prepare the area and what his team would do. The quote was very fair. After we set-up the appointment, I noticed other areas in the basement that were wet. I called him and we quickly decided on how to deal with the situation. I was concerned about price, since the change to the original scope was significant, but Bill quoted me price that was very fair and I did not at all feel that he was taking advantage of my difficult spot. The quality of work was exceptional. His crew did a great job no only fixing the basement, but also taping finished basement areas to prevent damage from hammering through the concrete. I am extremely happy with this company and while I hope to never need them again, I would be happy to use them, if the need arose.
