We did not use their services, but Jerry was very prompt at coming out and giving us a quote, answered all questions, etc.

The project went very well. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and would use Gardnder construction again. In addition, the communication from Rob during the estimate, procurement and execution of the project was excellent. He would follow up if I had a question and would keep me in the loop on the status of procurement. During the actual project, if I had questions, he would always listen. If there was something I wanted completed, he would ensure his team followed up on the request. Usually you don't find this type of responsiveness with contractors.

Very well. They were prompt to respond to my request for an estimate, were able to get to the job in a timely manner, and were very professional in their conduct. Most importantly, they were willing and able to solve problems on the fly, and make great suggestions as to alternate ways of getting the job done.

On a Tuesday, Jerry came out and gave me an estimate to replace 6 or so concrete blocks that had begun to buckle and crumble in my garage foundation. On that Friday, Ryan came and performed the work. We are very happy with the quality of the job, and certainly happy with how quickly it was done.

We contracted with Gardner Construction to install drain tile in our crawl space. Jerry arrived promptly to review our situation and prepare an estimate. Between scheduling the work and the actual work date we found that some of the garage foundation blocks needed to be replaced. Jerry was added it to our original work order and completed both jobs in the time estimated. The men who work with Jerry were friendly, incredibly efficient, easy to work with and careful with our home interior. If we need any further concrete work we will definitely be contacting Gardner Construction.

Bid was good, window selection worked well - Only because of budget restraints we postponed this job but hope to reconsider next spring.

Seth, person who offered the bid and worked the job, was great. Very nice man and very knowledgeable regarding plan and install of new sidewalk. Crew were very friendly, prompt, efficient and professional. High praise for all involved!

He indicated replacing approximately 18 feet of drainfield as a resolution. Additionally, he suggested installing all new window wells, then raising the yard to increase the pitch/slope away from the house. Doing so would mean tearing up the carpet, cutting out and removing the concrete perimeter, putting in new drainfield, etc., etc. We've lived here over 28 years, had drainfield installed before we ever finished off the basement and never had a problem with water in our basement before this crazy last spring. I asked about sending a camera to review the existing drainfield; he shrugged off this request and never really answered whether that was possible. Later, other professionals (roofers) indicated that gutters were needed. Also indicated that window wells and changing ground pitch would be nice but probably not necessary. Their reasoning was that the water came into the basement because it was downpouring in Feb-Mar and the ground was still frozen -- the water took the path of least resistance. Time will tell whether we've done the right thing.

They were absolutely excellent and worked for two days in 90+ degree weather. They did a great job and got it cleaned up beautifully.

I spoke with Leanne from Gardner Construction Inc. yesterday to set up an appointment to have someone come out and estimate a draintile system in my basement. I am located in Rogers and she said, " we don't go up to Rogers"!!!! If that's the case, they need to take off Hennepin County for the areas that they service! They are located in South Minneapolis, probably approx. 30 min. from Rogers. They really must not need the work if they are unwilling to drive that distance.

Very Good Job. Ryan answered my email inquiry promptly, and visited my home to provide an estimate within a day or two. The next day, work was completed to remove old cement, and put forms in place. Within a couple of days, the concrete was poured and the job was finished to my complete satisfaction. I especially appreciated that during the estimate, Ryan gave me the option of repairing (refacing) the front stoop and stairs. I was totally expecting that they would need to be completely replaced. That would've been much more costly. The work was completed [approximately] when scheduled. Threatening weather delayed the actual pouring of the cement, but this was totally understandable. In addition, Ryan's crew cut some pavers that abut the slab in the back. This was necessary because they no longer fit properly following the installation of the [slightly larger] slap. This was not in the original estimate, but was completed at no extra cost. Their work was efficient and professional. Clean-up following the job was very good. The new sidewalk has been in place for over two months now, and looks beautiful. I would highly reccommend Gardner Construction.

They showed up at 7:30 am. They were very polite, and clean. Came in with extra people and jack hammered, shoveled dirt, installed the new drain tile all in one day. They left the basement cleaner than when the came in. Great work and would have them do other work for me.

All the steps, from the initial consultation and proposal through the completed work went very well. We were kept informed as to schedule and all the steps in the process. The work crew was very efficient and professional, was very careful to minimize any damage to lawn, and cleaned up very nicely when the work was done. We paid no money up front. Only when the work was totally completed and approved by us, did we pay. Very nice experience all the way!

Bill's team (Ryan et al.) called early one morning as they had an unexpected opening in their schedule. They came out and replaced the cinder blocks with rebar and new concrete and then patched the chimney with concrete to block the holes that wildlife were getting into the chimney. The chimney repair proved very timely because the squirrel making a nest could not reenter and was trapped by the wildlife expert who was helping with this issue. The garage masonry repair was very satisfactory and they did a great job of clean-up. Would definitely use them again for masonry problems.

Gardner Construction impressed me from my first contact with them until the job was completed. The woman who answered the phone was knowledgable about the work they did and asked exactly the right questions to understand what I needed. From there she let me know who would be coming out for an estimate and when. On the day of, I even received a phone call from her to make sure the date and time still worked for me. Ryan came out to scope out the job and arrived on time. Ryan was extremely professional and explained to me all of my options ranging from repairing the cracks to replacing the entire foundation without pressuring me into the more expensive option. He answered all of my questions and I accepted his proposal on the spot. From there, he indicated that without looking at the schedule he couldn't specifically schedule it, but would take care of it next week sometime and would let me know when the work was completed. He lived up to his word. The next week on Tuesday I received a phone call from Ryan indicating the work was completed. Since, we were out of town I had my sister stop by to look at it and send photos of the work. I'm happy to report that the work was completed as promised. I would recommend Gardner Construction to anyone who inquired to me about needing foundation work. As a homeowner, I have dealt with many tradespeople and their companies and am frequently disappointed. I'm someone with very high expectations regarding communication and quality of work. Gardner Construction impressed me on both fronts.

I told them how I want it and they came to give me a bid. They did a fabulous and top notched job. They were very professional and courteous. They were in and out of here for three days. There was nothing I didn't like about them. I've been in the construction trade and I dealt with different people and they were excellent. I worked with Mandy Gardner who is a construction person as well on another project and he does not have time to do this project for me so he recommended his brother Gerry Gardner. That's why I went with him....I go with people I can trust. I recommended him to my best friend and I will use him again with no doubt.

Seth came on Saturday the 3rd to give us an estimate on our basement, which has had water problems. He agreed that it was most likely the window that was causing the water to leak in, and that replacing the window would be a good first step before a more expensive drainage system. He double checked the basement walls to make sure there was no bowing, and pointed out some areas that could use better grading to keep water flowing away from the house. He also gave us some input on how to repair some crumbling mortar between the blocks on the interior wall. We opted to replace all the basement windows rather than just the one, and to have window wells dug to improve drainage. He told me that he would be in touch to schedule a date, and they were able to fit us in on Monday the 6th. Corey and Seth came and did all the work, including filling in a couple of cracks on the exterior of our home. They did exceptional work, were professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They even put the dirt dug out of the window wells in the area we specified, rather that us having to move it ourselves. The black dirt they brought in was of excellent quality, and they put it onto the tarp I provided and covered it. Overall we were EXTREMELY impressed with this company and Seth and Corey in particular. We would not hesitate to use them again, although hopefully we've solved our water problems!

Details? On time, professionalism at every step, to include a follow-up call after a hard rain. Cleaned up very well after the job. Very easy to work with; flexible and responsive. I am extremely satisfied with the work. I appreciated the systematic approach to addressing the issue. No hard sale. No up-sale. Basic problem addressed, quoted, and executed. Wish all business was this well done. After two hard storms, with over 2" of rain on both occasions, basement is dry after years of neglect by former owner. I can recommend without any reservations.

Went extremely well. Very punctual. Worked independently on the outside work which did not require us to take off time from work to be there. Clean, thorough, and the work has been very successful. I am very, very grateful they solved the leak as our downstairs hall would flood in any heavy rains. Dry as a bone now!

I talked to the owner a few times and provided possible dates and times for him to come out and give me an estimate on the work I needed done. Each time he either did not get back to me, or just did not show up. I finally called another company from here and they showed up right on time and provided the estimate and really helpful information. Do not waste your time trying to do business with these guys.

We felt that their price was fair and reasonable but the reason we did not consider them is that they did not warranty their work. That kind of put us off. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and we were very impressed with him. It took them a few days for them to responds to us.

I had a really great experience with Gardner Construction. Seth was very responsive and returned calls immediately. The initial estimate was done on June 18th for drain tile only. On June 25th he came back out to check out a new development in my situation that I found as I was preparing to get the work done by ripping out an existing fireplace - large cracks in foundation. He assessed the situation and reassured me that it was all fixable and the price did not increase nearly as much as I had expected. He was able to get his crew over the very next day to perform all the work. The crew that came were very personable and communicated with me as the project was being done. They worked really fast and efficiently and were done that same day. They had to dig down in my front yard to fix foundation and regrade a bit, and they left no mess, even put back all rock etc. You can't even tell they were there. The price was very reasonable, and the level of service was top notch. I would use them again without a doubt.

This project went great, i can not say enough good things about Gardner and their lead field supervisor Seth. Seth knows his trade, I understood the project and what need to be done. Other contractors bid the job while keeping me in the dark and saying trust me! Seth explained what needed to be done and saved me $3000. other contractors tried to over sell the job and do more then what was needed. I felt safe and confident choosing Seth, he is the most honest person i have ever met. Also i was a big skeptic of interior drain tile! Not any more, we lucked out and had the Derain tile in before three big storms and our basement stayed dry! Without drain tile we would've flooded! Another benefit is our basement smells good and is getting better every week! We used to have 4 dehumidifiers running non stop to keep the basement dry, even in the winter! Now we have one and it doesn't run consistently. Wow! I called seven companies and choose Gardner Construction for a reason, save your self some time and take my advise and just call Gardner.

I had water in my basement from heavy rain and snow melt. I contacted Gardner Construction and they came the day after I called them to estimate the job and had it completed within the week. They recommended drain tile and explained that a pump may not be necessary, but they wouldn't know until they opened up the floor--it turned out not to be, and I was happy that they were honest about it since I would not have known otherwise. The crew was professional and experienced. They left the area clean and explained thoroughly what was done and the next steps I needed to take in order to ensure flooring was properly installed over the area. The ground was too hard to install the window well the same day, but they came back when it was possible to get that done and did so with the same high level of professionalism and completeness.
