Description of Work: Gardner core-filled a concrete wall that had a crack in it. They also did some tuck point work inside and outside. They brought a great crew, were on time, and completed the work quickly and effectively. This was a great experience from getting the estimate to completing the work.

Description of Work: We had water leaking into a basement of a house we were selling. Randy came out and gave me a bid soon after I spoke with him. His crew of five were on the job a week later and they were done in less than two days, which is what he had told me. Workers were nice, helpful, and respectful when we went to look at the progress. Job looks good!

Description of Work: Randy helped me to waterproof my basement after I had issues with water coming up through the drain tile in the basement due to a malfunctioning sump pump. His brother's company then added an extension that extends out about 3 to 4 yards from my home on my sump pump to resolve the issues. They are very knowledgeable and I was very impressed with how available he was through the project. I have worked with both his brothers' companies as well and they all really know what they are doing.

Description of Work: Seth, Gardener's representative, met with me a number of times, listened to my needs and did everything possible to bring the total cost of the project down to a range I could afford. His estimate still came in over that of the contractor to whom I eventually gave the work. The 2nd proposal not only contained the same work Gardener proposed at an acceptable price, but also some features Gardener's proposal did not have. I regretted having to turn down Gardener's proposal. The representative listened well and gave 110% effort.

Description of Work: One room in the basement had water seepage to the point of causing mold and mildew. The contractor came in opened the concrete floor, opened a passage to the center of the concrete blocks, installed drain tile and a sump pump, a drainage system from the blocks to the tile and repoured the flooring. Tarps were put down to protect the carpeting. All construction/demolition debris was cleaned up and removed by the conclusion of the project. The project took about four hours from start to finish.

Description of Work: I CALLED FOR AN ESTIMATE ON REPLACING A DRIVEWAY. THE COMPANY CALLED RIGHT BACK AND TOLD ME THEY WERE BOOKED FOR THE SEASON AND UNFORTUNATELY COULDN'T BID ON MY PROJECT.  + -1 moreONCE STARTING THE JOB, THEY FOUND THEY ACTUALLY HAD TO REPLACE MY FOOTINGS AS WELL AND WAS QUOTED ONE PRICE FOR THIS ADDITIONAL ITEM, BUT GOT A HIGHER PRICE ONCE THE JOB WAS FINISHED. WE NEGOTIATED, BUT IT WAS SOMEWHAT FRUSTRATING TO HAVE TO NEGOTIATE. THE CITY INSPECTOR DIDN''T SEE THE FOOTINGS BEFORE THEY FINISHED UP THE WORK, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND THEY WILL NEED TO COME BACK AND RE-GRADE THE GROUND THEY BACKFILLED AS IT''S TOO HIGH AGAINST THE SIDING OF THE HOUSE. SO A FEW ITEMS, BUT OVERALL THEY COMPLETED THE WORK TIMELY, CLEANED UP WELL, AND PROVIDED A DAILY UPDATE ON THE WORK THEY HAD DONE.

THEY COMPLETED THE TILING WHILE I WAS AT WORK AND BESIDES THE FACT THAT THEY LEFT MY HOSE OUTSIDE THERE WASN''T MUCH EVIDENCE (BESIDES THE NEW TILE AND SUMP PUMP, OF COURSE) THAT THEY''D BEEN IN THE HOUSE.

RANDY SUPERVISED MOST OF THE WORK PERSONALLY AND THE WORK WAS DONE COMPETENTLY AND CONSCIENTIOUSLY. HOWEVER, WHEN RANDY HAD TO LEAVE BEFORE COMPLETION SOME FINAL CLEAN-UP AND QUALITY CONTROL STEPS WERE LEFT UNFINISHED. RANDY RESPONDED TO THESE CONCERNS RELATIVELY QUICKLY AND WORKERS RETURNED TO TAKE CARE OF THE REMAINING MINOR PROBLEMS. SO FAR THE COMBINATION OF THE SIDEWALK WORK AND BASEMENT WATERPROOFING SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE KEEPING THE BASEMENT DRY. WE HAVE HAD TWO HEAVY RAINS SINCE THE WORK WAS DONE WITH NO SIGN YET OF WATER SEEPAGE IN THE BASEMENT. BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE WORK SO FAR, I WOULD RECOMMEND G. GARDNER CONCRETE TO OTHERS FOR BOTH BASEMENT WATERPROOFING OR CONCRETE WORK.
Description of Work: INSTALLED PERIMETER TILING/DRAIN SYSTEM WITH SUMP PUMP IN THE BASEMENT TO ELIMINATE WATER SEEPAGE. REPLACED A SECTION OF CONCRETE SIDEWALK ALONG THE HOUSE TO IMPROVE WATER FLOW AWAY FROM THE HOUSE.
