+ -1 moreEric was friendly. I was going to be in town at my property for 11 days to make repairs, and Eric was all booked up during that time. However, he said for the smaller things that needed to be done, he could stop over and do them in between his other jobs. One thing to note, Eric works alone so he doesn't do estimates, since it would take time away from his other jobs. I'd condiser using him in the future do to his high rating on the List, but I'd prefer to know the cost ahead of time.
Description of Work: Needed handyman services on my rental property. Fix wobbley kitchen faucet, re-grout around bathtub, replace back door sweep, fix gashes in the walls, etc.

We was on-time each day and his work was outstanding, and right on with the estimate he initially provided. He's courteous, excellent at his job, and as we know now, can be completely trusted with working in our home. I'd hire him again for any project and recommend him as a great resource for Angie's List members and anyone else that needs a handyman.
Description of Work: Old window in garage was torn out and replaced with new trim. Replaced old wood trim around 2 garage doors replaced and weather sealed for protection. Cut out the framing of a door inside our house and sheetrocked around new frame. Installed a new glass shower door in bathroom. Sheetrocked, taped and plastered new walls in our kitchen. Fixed a broken bench in our kitchen.

He is an excellent communicator - willing and able to tell you what he needs to do, can do, prefers to do, how long it will take, what to watch out for, how much it will likely cost, and what options you can take to having it done. He's so good he's in high demand, so we don't get him over to do as much as we'd like, but he's good about scheduling you in if you call in advance. He's so honest he turned down a piece of work he said we should have a plumbing professional do. He gave me advice on how to approach the job with a plumber, and it's good to know you can talk to him about the work and not worry that you're being misled.
Description of Work: Eric worked for us several times in 2008: - Installed new kitchen sink disposal - cleaned bathroom plumbing - a few other repairs around the house

+ -1 moreAfter I called Eric, he scheduled an appointment, and arrived on time. He gave me a bid and scheduled the dates for the work. He came over again a few days ahead of time, to review the plans with me. He showed up as scheduled and did all the work on time and he did an excellent job. He cleaned up and hauled the debris away. I never had to call him to see if he was going to show up, and he always answered my phone calls promptly. I will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: built a stone retaining wall/planter, fixed a door threshold, built a new door for my shed, put in new landscape timbers, caulked sidewalk adjoining house, painted.

When I called and explained what I wanted done, Eric answered a number of question I had so that I could purchase the right items (new faucet, light fixtures, etc.) before he came. He called to confirm the day before he was supposed to arrive. He was exactly on time and worked quickly and efficiently the entire day. I had a long list that I wanted him to complete and he couldn't get to everything (I expected that), so I will be calling to schedule some more time with him soon. I will definitely use him for all my handyman needs in the future.
Description of Work: Eric did a number of things - installed 4 curtain rods; installed a faucet, light fixtures and toilet seat in a bathroom; replaced some old plumbing; fixed some siding; fixed a running toilet; repaired and re-grouted some loose tile; installed two new deadbolts; adjusted garage door opener

Description of Work: Eric disloged a broken door lock from the door and replaced it with a new lock; we have a few other projects for him as well, but in view of the necessity of fixing our main entrance in and out of our house, he squeezed in our more urgent door project on the day we called, and will come back to perform the others.

He inquired about our time frame for having the repairs done. He offered to work within his availability and our schedule. He gave us an estimate of the cost for his professional services. His estimate was reasonable and accurate for the work he did. He kept in contact with us. Eric was prompt and courteous. He had the tools and equipment neecessary for the job. He left the work site clean and neat. He gave suggestions for spring maintenance and future repair work. We are most pleased with Eric's Handyman Service. We will follow up with Eris's suggestions. Description of Work: Eric repaired several household problems for us. 1. He checked for air leaks that we noticed around a glass door leading to the wooden deck, two doors on the three-season porch, and 4 windows. He reinforced the webbing around those doors and windows. 2. He restored power to 2 electrical outlets in our bathroom. 3. He installed a shower rack and a towel rack in the bathroom. 4. He secured a closet rack in one of our bedroom closets.

+ 0 moreI searched Angie's List for handyman services, and Eric's company came up first. I called and described that I needed a toothbrush removed from the drain and the faucet needed replacing. We discussed what materials were needed, price and that he would call the day before to confirm. On Sunday night he called to confirm the list of services and arrival time. On Monday arrived on time and after reviewing the area and materials, I asked if he could replace a toilet float, and said sure, not a problem. Once completed, wiped up work debris from areas. Area around facet and drain clean and professional.
Description of Work: Replaced bathroom faucet, hoses, valves and removed toothbrush from drain pipe. Added toilet float and hose.

+ -1 moreGreat! Eric works very hard and cleans up after the project is done. I fully trust his skills and he's just a really nice person to work with. He has great ideas for solving problems and understands how to keep costs down if that's a priority. This was the second project I had Eric do for us and was fully satisfied. I'm not handy at all and the last thing you want is someone who makes you feel like you should know how to do some of this stuff. Eric doesn't make you feel that way. He's very professional!
Description of Work: Note: The work was done June 2008....I kind of procrastinated a tad on getting my report done....sorry Eric........ The side of my garage had water damage and a section of the wood paneling rotted away. The water damage was mainly due to a base board running along the exterior of the garage close to the ground. Water would collect on the ridge of the board and find its way behind the board and then rotted the paneling. I received a citation from the city to have it repaired. I had Eric come out to look it over. The panels that made up the side of the garage had a stucco pattern. It would have looked mismatched to just repair the section that had rotted away. Eric found some cement board (already primed and pretty cheap) that was close to the same color and explained that by using cement board there would not be the issue of water damage in the future. He also said not to use a base board as that's just asking for problems unless we installed a metal piece (rain guard) to keep water from getting behind it. To keep costs down we just scratched that idea. We decided to have Eric repair the whole side of the garage using the cement board.

Description of Work: Eric responded promptly to my call and kept me updated on all the work he did. He came to my home to repair a hole in a sheet rock wall and, since he charges by the hour with a two hour minimum, also replaced a toilet and caulked around our kitchen sink and backdrop at our request. He does fantastic work - we couldn't have completed the caulking as cleanly or precisely as Eric - and is as polite as they come.

Description of Work: Eric reset our front door and another one in the house; he installed a number of curtain rods throughout the house; and he helped me move a very heavy dining room table (by taking it apart and then putting it back together for me).

When he saw a potential problem with the faucet installation, he talked about it with us & together we decided on a plan. When all was said & done he was able to do the job as originally planned. He helped us figure out a potential source of a random water leak & caulked the site such that it is probably taken care of. The door adjustment took but a few minutes & now works just fine. Eric cleaned up after himself & was a professional & friendly throughout. We would (will) have him back in a heartbeat. Delightful experience.

Description of Work: I had some shingles that blew off of my roof that needed to be put back on. Eric came over and put the shingles on, then came to the door and asked if there was anything else I needed done. I had a paid a 2 hour minimum fee. He could have just gone home and enjoyed his Saturday morning, but instead he hung a light fixture and looked at a plumbing issue.

He did a great job- took off the soffit covering, repaired a board and repositioned a shingle, purchased and installed mesh over our gutters, purchased materials and repaired a section of wood fence that had blown down in a windstorm. He also repaired some things like loose gutter and a few loose shingles. Good preparation, very thorough.

They have a hard to beat price which you can take advantage of when you purchase your doors. I think only one who does not offer the service. I would charge $165.00 per door and my openings are in December. Thank You Eric
