I am having work done on my house. I've had a re-acurring water spot on an upstairs bedroom ceiling. Severval different contractors have given me varying reasons for the problem; and varying solutions. some never even went into attic to check it out. None solved the problem. Bob, the owner of this company and another man came to the house. Bob went up on the roof and the other person into the attic. They quickly determined it was not the roof, but a broken broad in the ceing of the attic. that was fixed and they caulked a few holes where nails from the shingles had popped out. They REFUSED to take any money for this. MY ceiling is now dry and I can continue withe the work i had planned for my house.THey are a great community-minded company and I have already reccomened them to others.

Called 1 year after hail storm to get estimate on possible new roof. Jaimie came out, left samples of shingles, explained the process of working with the insurance company and spent several hours (on different days) answering my questions and making suggestions for an improved seamless gutter system (I am a first time home owner). He met with the claims adjuster and communicated the information back to me (adjuster also called me). I was told exactly how much out of pocket the roof and gutters would cost. I also had a quote for gutters from another company. Jaimie's quote was higher for the same footage. I showed him the quote, and asked why the significant price difference. Jaimie met the other companys offer! Wright At Home was able to do both projects in 2 days. There were no surprises any where in the process. It took two separate days to get the work done. I never saw a worker, they started after I left for work and were gone before I got home. I had exactly 2 pieces of scrap to pick up and one or two nails. Other than that and the dumpster in the driveway, they left everything as they found it! The experience was painless, informative, and Jaimie was great to work with.

The dumpster was delivered as we had been advised and the work started the next morning. The time estimate was for 3 days but they actually finished in 2 & 1/2 days. The weather was in the high 90's all of the days they were working on our house-the crew was incredibly hard working and fantastic about clean-up. We have horses so that any nails left on the ground could have been a real problem-not one nail was found after they finished the cleanup. The roofing crew was composed of well trained and knowledgeable men-they were amazing. Jamie checked our job daily and was always quick to answer or return calls. Our roof is now perfect and we are sure it will stay that way for many years to come. There were a few minor things that needed followup and that was completed the day after the roof was finished.
Description of Work: Wright at Home Services was totally professional from start to finish. They came and carefully examined our roof, obtained ariel photographs, and presented an extremely comprehensive and professional proposal for the replacement of our roof. Jamie was our main contact and he is an outstanding communicator. Costs and quality of materials were explained in detail and all of our questions were answered. Our roof has numerous pitches and valleys which complicated the re-roofing work. Jamie's presentation was very detailed and understandable-we felt that we were indeed dealing with a company who does excellent work.

From the estimate to final inspection, the were prompt, responsive and the final job looks great. They explained all product to be installed and delivered on everything, right down to upgraded roof vents. We had noticed excessive granulars in a couple of our gutters following the completion of the job. They came back the next day and cleaned everything. This occured after payment. I highly recommend Wright at Home Services.

While I am highly satisfied with the work that was done, the most important part of this story is the work that was not done. I had several estimates all competing with each other - some said my roof was a disaster and needed complete replacement, others said it was not. By the time Wright at Home Services came into the picture I was prepared for the cost of a whole new roof. I told them this before they started the estimate. Following an assessment of the roof, attic and perimeter of the house that took almost 2 hours by 2 gentlemen, I was informed that while they would love to sell me a new roof, I did not need it! They proceeded to tell me exactly what was wrong with the dynamcis of the attic, roof, soffits etc - why I had ice dam problems etc. They were HONEST! They had INTEGRITY! Everything proceeded extremely well after that - we set a time for the work, they came on time, they worked all day for 2 days, the color match was perfect, everything was cleaned better than before they came. They corrected a couple of additional problems to the roof and attic beyond the scope of the original estimate and did NOT add charges. Jamie led the project and was considerate, friendly, professional and a very good communicator. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Wright at Home Services.

Thank you! So many times we come across homes that do not need new roofs, but need proper ventilation and insulation. It is a mistake as a roofing contractor to just re roof the home and not add all the necessary insulation and ventilation to the home. If you have ice dams, a new roof does not always solve the issue. Thank you again for the great report.

I developed a water stain on my living room ceiling that I concluded came from some roof leak problems. I researched Angie's list for roofing contractors. I had three roofers come and look at my situation. Bob, from Wright-At-Home-Services, diagnosed my roof and indicated that my roof definitely had hail damage and said he would be willing to meet with my insurance adjuster to discuss my roof. I called my insurance agent and he confirmed from his "hail event database" that we had three hail events last year. Bob met with my adjuster, as he said he would be willing to do, and the result is that I received a new asphalt roof...at no cost to me ($3,400 stated was for insullation and gutter work only). I also had Bob blow some badly needed insulation into my attic and do some gutter repair. I was really impressed with how Bob evaluated our situation and provided us with an outstanding solution all the way around.
Description of Work: What a great experience we had with Wright-At-Home Services! From the very first contact, to working with our insurance adjuster on a hail claim, to great work done on replacing our roof, repairing gutters, and blowing insulation in our attic...their responsiveness, integrity and professionalism throughout the whole prcess was outstanding! I highly recommend their services. As their company slogan states, "Producing value to our customers the Wright way."

I live in Monticello, Mn and had my friend look up reputable siding contractors on Angie's List. I called Wright at Home Services and had them, as well as several other contractors give an estimate. Wright at Home gave the best presentation and took the time to go over samples and answer questions. Their price estimate was similar to the other companies. They even upgraded my color choice to a premium color at no extra charge. It was an easy decision to go with Wright at Home. They set everything up and started within a few weeks (I had requested a later start due to my work schedule). The crew that worked on my house was wonderful. They showed me their progress everyday and asked for my input on how I wanted things done. They cleaned up everything and put my house "back together". As with any large construction job, unexpected things came up, but were handled effortlessly by the crew. When everything was done, I was never charged anything extra. They stuck to the estimate and gave me an Angie's List discount. Three different groups worked on the house (siding, gutters, and gutter guard installer) and all were great. When everything was done, my house looked great. I feel like I have a brand new house and have increased it's value. I would definately recommend Wright at Home and will be calling them again.

The sales representative (Mike) was punctual for all aspects of the job and the sales rep actually did the door installation. He worked around my schedule for all appointments and kept in contact via e-mail or phone during the bid and instalation process. The doors were on a stucco and brick exterior and textured plaster interoior and there was virtually no damage to those surfaces in removal and installation which is not what I had expected. I was impressed with the detail Mike took in removing existing interior trim to save it and re-install along with all the other finish and trim details. Mike made suggestions for the most energy efficient doors and also made sure that the doors that were to be installed qualified for the tax credit and made suggestions for one of the choices that did not qualify.

Found the company on Angie's List. Received an in-home presentation and samples. Requested information regarding Energy Star shingles. Once I made the decision, they came the next week to do the roof. The work was done within 1 day. Pretty good and fast work. The ridge vent was required by code and they contacted me once the inspector told them it was needed. It did not add too much to the overall job.

Shingles were old and needed replacing. As spring arrived, I had a few roofing firms stop by "to inspect for hail damage" for a storm that came through the Shoreveiw area a couple of years ago. I do not think highly of that business practice, but I took their estimates anyway as a starting point. I then searched for contractors on Angie's List and cross-referenced with the Better Business Bureau. I selected a few firms that scored top honors on both lists. Estimates ran from just under $8,000 to almost $11,000. Some assumed a more expensive shingle in the estimate (seemed to be a significant price difference between 25-yr and 30-yr, but according to some independent "weathering" test I read about recently the 30-yr did not perform any better). In the end, Wright At Home had one of the more reasonable estimates and the right shingle along with a good reputation. All went just as they said: finished in a day, estimate was right on, cleaned up well. Great job!

This is a family-operated company that runs smoothly. I dealt with several of them (Bob, Jamie, Roxanne, Nick) during the course of this project, and they were always pleasant and accommodating. Although I live outside their normal range, they did not charge for the extra travel and treated me no differently. Overall value was excellent, considering that they did some additional things not covered by insurance for little or no additional cost. I talked to several contractors and Wright-At-Home stood out right away in a couple respects. At the first visit, Bob had a notebook for viewing all their credentials, insurance, licensing, and training certifications. Bob and Jamie did a very detailed estimate, which told me exactly what would be done and what specific products (not just shingles) would be used. They also offered to submit a supplemental report to the insurance company for a large shed that the adjuster had not looked at and so was not covered by the insurance estimate. (The insurance company approved it). They left me with the most complete and helpful folder of information of all the contractors I considered. The roofers worked very hard and were respectful of the property. A few adjustments I had requested, such as moving vent locations, were done without extra charge. Clean-up was very good, and the dumpster was gone the next day. Wright-At-Home provides a long workmanship warranty, and the Angie's List discount doesn't hurt either. I would definitely use them again.

I used Wright-At-Home-Services last year for similar problems with isolated damage to a handful of shingles to my roof and was very pleased with their service. I e-mailed Bob Wright, the President and asked if he could stop by to give me an estimate on repairing the damaged shingle. He got back to me the same day and scheduled a time to drop by the following week. It ended up being an easy repair and Bob waived any charges, which was very nice.

I called Wright-at-Home Services to give me an estimate. Bob came over within 2 days of my call. He had finished another project earlier than anticipated, so called me to see if it was okay if he came over earlier than we had arranged. When he looked at my roof, he told me that it still had 5 years of life in it, and he wouldn't recommend re-roofing yet at this point. The problem is where our wall and our roof on our split-level home meet, and water is leaking in during heavy rain. Bob said that he could blow all of the debris out of the area/crack between the wall and roof, and then put a bead of commercial sealant along the seam. He thought the repair would last for 5 years, at which time we could replace our entire roof along with the siding that is adjacent to the area. Also, he said if we patched it now, the shingles wouldn't match, and it would look like it was patched. Then, he said that he would come back in 3 days and do the repair for us for free!! The day that he was scheduled to return to do the repair, it had rained, and the roof was still damp. He called me and told me that he would return again the next day, because the roof needed to be completely dry in order to apply the sealant. True to his word, he returned (on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend) and made the repair. He also told me to call him again if the roof still leaked after the next heavy rain, and he would come back and look at it again. He was a complete professional and a complete gentleman, very honest, and not trying to sell me anything. He said that companies don't take care of people any more, and that's important to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone. We plan to have him come back in 5 years when it is time to re-shingle. Thanks, Bob!

We had a stranger at our door one day. He was a typical "door knocker" from an unknown roofing company who stopped to tell us that we had a serious problem with our roof and that it would cost us 15k to replace our roof. I closed the door and called 4 contractors from Angies List. All of the contractors said there was no issue and that the door knocker was just trying to "stir-up" businesss. But, I was MOST impressed with Wright-At-Home. They took the most time to reallly, really look. They climbed all around, caulked a crack for us and came back to me with the report that everything was fine. I offered to pay them for the caulking in the area I could never reach on my roof and they said, "Don't worry about it!" My impression was that they really are a company that behaves with integrity and are truly interested in doing the "right" thing. Some day we will replace our roof, and we'll be calling Wright-at-Home.
Description of Work: We called Wright-at-Home services to come out and look at an area in our roof. The looked at the area, caulked some cracks they saw and didn't charge us a dime! They said the roof was fine and that there was no need for any intervention on their part.

We started late last fall. Bob owns the business with his son. Bob came over and gave a detailed estimate, explaining all of our choices and the business in general. It was getting late in the year and rather than rushing into the job, we postponed it until spring. They did the job in one day. The dumpster was delivered that day and picked up the next. The yard was completely cleaned up. All in all, a very professional job. I have complete confidence in this company.

Aaron returned our phone call requesting an estimate promptly and was out the next day to look at the job. He was courteous and professional throughout the entire process. I contacted three roofers for estimates and was most impressed with Wright at Home. The sales person I worked with was amazing. He took the most time to explain what his company would do and why it would do it. He broke down all my options in the easiest-to-digest manner possible. He was humble and even offered to fix a small problem on my soffit free of charge right there on the spot! I was sold! Late in the day before the work was to be done, I was contacted by their office to be told that the dumpster they were going to use would not fit on my property. I was disappointed that they couldn't have determined that long ahead of time... but mistakes happen. It was too late for me to try to keep the area in front of my house open (I live in South Minneapolis and the lot I am on is very small) so they ended up laying down a tarp and tossing all the debris around my yard. This proved to more or less destroy my yard, (to be fair, that summer was pretty harsh to my lawn). After cleanup, debris was everywhere. I still found debris seven months after I had the work done. The crew seemed very much in a hurry to finish their work, which proved impressive with the roofing, but not so impressive with the clean up. Their ladders scuffed the edge of my soffit much more than I usually like, which they offered to touch up, but only after I complained. One of my screen doors was punctured and they left little things all over the place - rubber bands, plastic strips, foam, even gum that one of them had spit onto my driveway! I was left with the impression that their crew was lacking in professionalism and that they did not respect my property. Wright at Home was sufficiently receptive to my complaints and my sales person personally fixed a few problems after the work was done and took $100 off the price of the job, though it did take some time for him to finish the repairs (two weeks or so). In the end, the roof does look fantastic and seems to be very well done. I'd say that they have a crew that's good at putting roofs on, but not good at keeping negative evidence of their work to a minimum. It's a mixed bag on my experience with Wright-at-Home, so I remain neutral on straight up recommending them. I've given an overall C grade because of the crew's cleanup. - Wright-at-Home has every right to match my testimony with their perspective, but one thing they say is that they didn't put the dumpster on the street out of consideration for my neighbors. That's very nice to say, but had there been no cars parked on the street in front of my home already, the decision to put one there would have been based on convenience for the roofing team, not the neighbors. In Minneapolis, haulers leave dumpsters out on the street where people park for home improvements all the time. Most of the time they leave them there for weeks. A day is not disrespectful to neighbors at all. Lastly, my Angie's List testimonies are not complaints to companies. They are testimonies for the benefit of other consumers who want to do their homework and see not just all the positive reviews, but the negative ones as well. I consider my testimony to be neither, but instead a balanced criticism. I still love the roof, I loved their sales rep. But I thought they ravaged my property. That was my experience. They probably learned from it, and I wish them the best.

WE WERE PROACTIVE IN ADDRESSING HIS CONCERNS EIGHTS MONTHS AGO WHEN WE DID HIS ROOF. AS THE MEMBER STATED "TO BE FAIR THE SUMMER WAS H*****ON MY LAWN" IT WAS IN POOR CONDITION DUE TO THE HEAT. WE HAD TO LAY TARPS DOWN TO PROTECT WHAT THERE WAS TO PROTECT. AS FAR AS THE NOT BEING "PROFESSIONAL" ABOUT THE DUMPSTER, WE HAD NO OPTIONS OTHER THAN TO DROP ALL THE DEBRIS ON THE GROUND, HAVE THE HAULER WAIT IN THE STREET WHILE WE QUICKLY THREW THE DEBRIS IN THE DUMPSTER SO HE WOULD NOT BLOCK TRAFFIC. THERE WAS VERY LIMITED PARKING IN THE STREET AND FOR US TO LEAVE THE DUMPSTER THERE FOR A DAY OR TWO WOULD BE INCONSIDERATE FOR HIS NEIGHBORS. MIKE TOUCHED UP HIS SOFFITS, THIS WAS A VERY STEEP ROOF. THE ROOF CAME OFF IN PIECES THE SIZE OF SHREDDED WHEAT. WE THOUGHT WE HAD RESOLVED HIS ISSUES 8 MONTHS AGO WHEN MIKE MET HIM AT HIS HOME TO COLLECT THE CHECK. IN CLOSING WE TRY TO SATISFY ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS EVEN WHEN THINGS DON'T GO PERFECTLY. I ONLY HAVE ONE FINAL COMMENT, OUR ROOFERS HAVE BEEN WITH US FOR A LONG TIME AND WE CONSIDER THEM PART OF OUR TEAM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONEST REPORT. They were great. Bob Wright came out and did a good job of evaluating what was needed and gave recommendations and he was just really good. He really seemed to know a lot and also seemed to figure out what was best for us. I thought the prices were really good too.
Description of Work: Wright-At-Home completely replaced our roof and all the shingles, and put all new gutters on the home.

Bob and Roxanne were excellent. I took a few recommendations from the list and contacted a few contractors for estimates. Bob was great, he came out to the house and showed us some of their options. I was impressed with his professionalism, the quality of the materials used, his willingness to answer questions, and his advice with colors and styles. Once we decided to move forward, work proceeded and was completed in a timely manner. The only delays we encountered were a result of working back and forth with my insurance company. There were naturally some issues there but we got the majority of them resolved. Overall I am very pleased with the whole experience, and I wouldn't have a second thought recommending them to anyone.
Description of Work: Hail Damage repair and replacement. Roofing, siding replacement (home and garage), fascias, shutters, window wraps, gutters, and downspouts were the major jobs. They also took care of a few smaller things related to the hail damage.

The salesman Mike was very personable and professional. He took the time to explain completely the work that would be done and the materials used. He recommended putting in soffit vents, but upon inspecting the attic, advised that due to the way the house was constructed it wouldn't be practical to put them in (saving me some expense). The crew were punctual and efficient, performing the work and clean up in exactly the amount of time they said they would. They cleaned up very well after the job was complete. Mike came back out a few days later to see if everything went well and to make sure the crew had cleaned up completely. He found about 8 nails, not bad!
Description of Work: Complete re-roof and masonry chimney cap.
