Wright at Home Roofing & Exteriors

Bob arrived and my husband met him to show him the areas of the roof we were concerned about and what kind of work we thought we needed done. Bob didn't carry a notebook, pen, or anything to jot down what we were saying or what he thought during his inspection. He seemed completely disinterested in the work we were looking to have done and kept saying that this wasn't really something that his company could do. He offered at the end to only provide an estimate for the heating coil, which has never been sent to us.

They did a good job for us, and let us know what they were doing. We had called on Thursday and they indicated they had another job in our area first thing in the morning and would be to our house between 10:00 - 11:00. However, they called around noon and said they were at another job (in a completely different part of town) and would be buy around 1:00, eventually showing up around 2:30 - 3:00. I recognize they probably had many different jobs to attend to and we were glad they made it a day after our initial call, so it's not a huge deal. My wife was ticked because it caused her to skip another appt. she had that afternoon. In the end we were glad they made it and took care of the issue correctly, though.

They were professional from the first contact. Communication to us and to our insurer was easy and well-orchestrated. The workmen were professional, and everything happened on time and as promised. When a storm was threatening, the supervisors managed the job to ensure that the house stayed protected from the elements. We had no other bids, so can't comment on price, but they accepted the insurance company's estimate and negotiated an increase directly with the insurer to get us a higher-rated shingle. We were very pleased with the end result.

They were great. My house was for sale, so they reacted quickly, got the quote to me when the insurance adjuster came and had the work done in record time. The roofing looks great and they were so responsive.

I had ice dam damage and also some older hail damage on the roof. My insurance paid for the roof replacement which came to half the overall cost. I decided to upgrade to better shingles and also have a ridge vent built in as well as replace all the other somewhat aged components like the soffits. The old insulation had been removed from the attic previously due to water damage so the attic was refilled with new insulation. I found Wright-At-Home through Angie's List and from there on in the whole thing went very well. The job was explained by Phil, who added a couple of excellent suggestions of his own that I took up e.g. rearranging the gutter downspouts so as to avoid having one coming out on the patio. It's worth pointing out that I have a very good insurance company and Wright (via Phil) worked with them to make sure the roof was properly examined. Once the insurance was satisfied the work was commenced after Phil and I finalized exactly what was going to be done, which materials, etc. The work began a day later than originally planned though this was no big deal and was finished completely in three days. The quality of all the work was very good and I believe I got what I paid for. I don't think Wright are the cheapest but you typically get what you pay for and I'm not a believer in cheaping out on my home anyway. I would recommend this company without reservation.

After a $750.00 quote and a slew of other roofing places that would not even respond to our request to set up an appointment, Wright at Home Services came out and did the job for $180!!!!!!!!! It looks wonderful and I felt they offered incredibly honest feedback of what we needed. I would highly recommend this company.

We were very pleased. He explained the work to be done in detail. The work was done on time and for the estimated price. The crew did a complete clean-up and the new roof looks very good. We would recommend them and use them again.

Called the company and quickly received a visit and an estimate from their salesperson, Phil. Once we signed the contract we started dealing with a project manager, Aaron, who throughout the project remained friendly and helpful even when things went wrong. The roofing part of the project took place very quickly and looked great. However, the crew failed to install a vent where one was essential. We were disappointed that we had to be the ones to figure that out, but once we pointed out their error, they were very quick to fix the problem. The siding project took a couple of extra weeks to complete because of a series of delays. First, someone failed to order enough siding for the project; then someone in their supply chain failed to put the 2nd order on the proper truck. Because of the delays our house sat for about 10 days in a partially-sided condition. Also, the wrong shutters got sent and installed resulting in another delay and necessitated replacement of some of the brand-new siding. In the end the crew did a fine job and we're extremely happy with the quality and value of the work. At all times, every person at Wright-At-Home we dealt with made sure we knew they appreciated our business, and attempted to accomodate our wishes, a level of service that is rare these days. And if you can, ask that Aaron be your project manager. He, along with a friendly crew, made a major project surprisingly bearable. We highly recommend Wright-At-Home.

Bob and his crew are fantastic, he gave me an estimate after being on my roof for an hour, then itemized and justified everything. The crew come exactly on time, had the house water tight after the first day (which ended for the crew at 9PM) then finished the next day with a perfect clean up. I was concerned with the dumpster placement and potential damage and Bob worked with the dumpster company to protect my driveway coming in and leaving. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent! Working with all members of Wright-At-Home was a pleasure. We appreciated the help they gave us when we were trying to decide on the siding material / color, and are very happy with the finished results of our home.

After getting a recommendation on the work to be completed by Center Point Energy, Wright's owner did some homework and discovered that Center Point had made an error and the job requirement was different and less expensive for me. I appreciated their honesty as well as the quality of their work.

I could never have dreamed a job of this size, with an insurance company involved, could go so smoothly, so painlessly. Wright-At-Home responded within hours to my call. They met with my insurance adjuster and successfully negotiated all of the above listed work. I was leaving town for 10 days, and they did the entire job while I was out of town. They were very professional, easy to work with, responsive to my questions, cleaned up extremely well from all of the work and took all of the pain out of the insurance claim process. I have recent experience to compare this to, since we had significant damage from a tornado last year. After this experience, I wouldn't dream of hiring another company for this type of work.

I contacted three of the top-rated roofers on Angie's list. One was not interested in a partial job. Two responded, but one was very high pressure and made me wary. Then there was Wright-at-Home. Mr. Wright was cordial, helpful, and efficient. He agreed that the rest of the roof did not need replacement. Once I made the decision to go, they scheduled the job for that week. You wouldn't know they were even there, except that we had a new roof. It was a very pleasant experience. The price seemed competitive.

Fantastic. Bob (owner), Nick and the rest of the team were professional, responsive, thorough - everything you could ask for. Roxanne was great with the scheduling. We would definitely recommend them to anyone. We asked a lot of questions (before and during the project), got three other bids from Angie's List A-rated, Super Service Award winning companies (all of which were also great). In the end we felt the best about Wright-At-Home and they exceeded our high expectations. The workmanship was excellent, the crew was courteous and friendly and the materials were high quality. They cleaned everything up and overall did a super job. We're very happy and love standing back across the street and admiring our new roof. We never thought we'd get so much enjoyment out of a new roof, but it really adds to our house. Wright-At-Home was not the lowest bid we received, but we thought they provided the best value and they earned (and then kept) our confidence.

Mr. Wright came out himself. He got on the roof and fixed the problem, which was a back up of debris. He also caulked some shingles. He explained I have a few more years before the roof needs to be replaced. He fixed the problem, prevented future problems, and didn't charge me. I will definatly give him my business when it is time to redo my roof. Awesome SERVICE!!! Honest and trustworthy contractor.

Our roof was damaged by hail after we purchased our home but before we moved in. We didn't get around to estimates until the fall. Bob Wright came out and seemed the least pushy of the roofers we talked to. He then came out and met with the insurance guy. They didn't start work until November and it was very cold when they did it, but got it done quickly and professionally. We did have to have them come back twice the next year after one and then another ridge shingle came loose. Considering how cold it was when they did the original job, I figure it was due to that. They were very responsive both times.

We picked this company after we met Mike. He was great explaining all the different options to us. He seemed pleased to be there. We were given quotes that were right on. The day they were to come out they were right on time. They went right to work. The dumpster had not arrived but they were able to continue till it arrived. As they were replacing the roof they did run out of some small items but they went out and got these and the work went on as though they had all their supplies.I was very impressed with the overall work they did an excellent job! They had it all finished in one day. They cleaned up after and it looked better than before they came. The whole crew were friendly, professional ,and courteous at all times. I am new to Angie's List but I highly recommend this company to anyone who asked. I am thrilled with my new roof. Thank You guys for all your hard work!! You deserve an A++

A great experience and a great job! Bob Wright provided us with a very detailed estimate that specified the type and brand of all the materials to be used and left us with a bundle of manufacturers information about these products. He and his roofing crew arrived early and stayed late -- a 12-hour day due to a difficult tear-off of the old roofs.Crew members staggered their short lunch breaks so that work continued non-stop. Next morning, an equally professional and hard-working soffitt and fascia crew arrived, and several days later, the gutter installers completed the last of the work. Bob came out next business day to check out the work and answer any questions. He is very accommodating in meeting customers wishes and is not at all into pushing extra product or work.

I was pleased at getting an appointment within the same week and pleased that the owner came to review the problem. At the time of my appointment, Mr. Wright went onto the roof, found the problem and hammered away. After a short time, he reported that he discovered a gutter had been poorly attached to the roof in one area, allowing water to come in (when it rained). He said he fixed the problem, to the best of his knowledge. The great thing was that he did not charge me at all for this service or the time spent (about 30 min). I did not need to schedule a future service date because he fixed it right there. With so many roofing companies to choose from, I was really happy that I had found one that met my needs for professionalism, knowledge and service. The next time I have any roofing issue I am calling Wright-at-Home. A totally great experience.

I received two estimates. Wright-At-Home was the most thorough at inspecting the problem. It also provided the lowest quote. The repair crew showed up only about a half-hour late, and they completed the work in the time promised. It was a complex repair requiring some carpentry work in addition to roofing. The end result might not be cosmetically perfect -- quite a bit of the necessary metal flashing is easily visible -- but that is balanced by what appears to be a solid solution to the ice-jam conditions that existed previously. The new shingles match the existing, 12-year-old shingles fairly well. I was pleased with the quote and the work that was done. An example of going "the extra mile" is that the carpenter was given the wrong size of siding at the lumber yard; instead of "making it fit," he made an extra trip to retrieve the correct siding needed to make the repair and match the rest of the home.

What a great company. In fact it could very well be the best company I have ever worked with and I have hired many contractors throughout the years. I interviewed about 8 different roofing companies and Wright-at-Home was in line with the same price as most of the others. I just had a good feeling about Wright -at-Home so I chose them. And WOW and I glad I did. We came across some rotted siding while doing some exterior painting and Wright-at-Home was able to tear out a chimney, put in new siding and do so right in schedule with the roof. The roof looks great and they used high quality materials. They even did a great job cleaning up. We left our garage doors open during the roofing so we could go in and out of the house and they even swept out our garage... which was very dirty from us and not them. This is just a top of the line company. Sometimes when you work with such a great company it is hard to put in words exactly what you liked. But they do quality work, had super hard working crew who came early and worked late to finish the job and everytime I had a question I got it answered quickly. They really helped me out with this project and the other exterior stuff that came up that we were not expecting.

Bob (the owner) came over for the estimate and we went over all the trouble spots on the roof where we were having water leakage into the house because of ice dams. He and his crew did a great job . He and his son were here part of both days it took to complete the job, observing the work and giving instructions to the work crew. The price was reasonable and the work was excellent. The yard was cleaner after the work was completed than it was before it started. Their crew also did an oustanding job installing new siding on the garage. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of work. They were professionals and pleasant to work wiith.

They were very easy to work with. The owner and his son were very involved. I couldn't believe how fast they did the work. He went through the whole list of different options with me and made recommendations to us. We did have some issues come up and they were very responsive in getting those issues resolved. We are very satisfied with the results.

The whole experience was great. We decided very late in the fall to replace the roof because we wanted to fix a plumbing leak in the attic and have the new stack flashed with the roof. Bob came out within a few days of our call and we got on the schedule soon after that. Bob has lots of integrity--told us we really didn't need the roof replaced yet (we decided to go ahead b/c of the plumbing problem). The crew were very respectful and Bob had a foreman (Nick, his son) on site regularly and I could call him at any time with questions or concerns. The cleanup was perfect, and Nick came out again after the crew had left to make sure things were clean and that there wasn't any damage. When our bathroom fan didn't work after the job was done, Bob was out the next day to figure out the problem and he got it working again (debris had gotten into the fan). The gutters are fantastic, the guy who did them made them drain into our rain barrels--a custom job. All in all, it was a great experience and I was impressed with the integrity and professionalism of everyone at Wright at Home. Plus, I'm pretty sure we got the last roof replaced this season, before the snow fell!
