Wright at Home Roofing & Exteriors

We had a bad rainstorm blow through last week, and when i woke up the next morning, I noticed a slow leak in my kitchen. I hopped on the List and called or messaged 5 companies. Two would not come out without a whole new roof job in the offing as this is their busy season (though they both highlighted repair and storm damage services), and 3 did not respond. When the second wave of storms blew through late afternoon, the original leak became worse, and there were some adjacent wet spots on the ceiling. Panicking, I contacted 8 more companies. Seven never responded, but the next morning, when I got a call first thing from Roxanne at Wright-At-Home Services, I almost cried with relief. She was extremely empathetic and professional, and made me feel comfortable immediately. She arranged to have Bob, the owner, stop by within a day, and he showed up right on time even though they are in Maple Grove and I am in Richfield. What a nice (and athletic!) man! He hopped right up on my roof, inspected all areas, and then used a sealing agent to seal all vent borders and flashing on the entire roof, not just the area where the leak happened. Once he finished, we noticed a piece of crown moulding that had come off on the side of my house, and he hopped back on the ladder and nailed that back in as well. He reported that my roof is in good shape, has some more years of service to it, and left without charging me a penny! I could not believe it. It is rare these days to find someone who will help out on short notice, but unprecedented to find someone who will not only come out on short notice, but will provide such a valuable service without expecting payment for those services. It may not have been a big deal to him, but it was a huge deal to me. And guess what?when my roof needs replacement, guess who I am going to call? Wright-At-Home Services has my loyalty and my business!

I called Wright at home about water damage to a wall found during a fireplace replacement. Bob was at my house within an hour. Looking at the problem, he could tell it wasn't related to the siding that Wright put on the house a few years ago. The deck did not have a drip cap, allowing water to damage the side of the house. Bob spent a few hours at my house, pulling out boards, finding the real problem and explaining what needed to be done to repair the problem. He called carpenters he trusted to find help me find someone to do the repair. He is not billing me for his time today. Wright at Home has put a new roof on my house and put on the steel siding. Every time I've called with a question, I've gotten an immediate response, usually with Bob stopping by to look at the situation and talk to me in person. I appreciate the continued great customer service. They really stand by their work.

First off, I was very satisfied with the customer service over the telephone. They listened to our situation, made suggestions (to save us money), and gave their honest feedback. Once it was decided to proceed with a roofing inspection, we had an appointment scheduled right away with Bob for the next day. He was prompt, friendly, and professional. Not to mention, a light rain started, and he still climbed up to inspect our roof and investigate. We were fortunate with his results, but it doesn't stop there. He told us what to do if this should happen again, then showed us how to fix the spots, and did not charge us for this visit! That was above and beyond! I will use this roofer in the future, and be happy to share this company with anyone who asks if they know of a good roofing company.

I called Wright-at-Home to do a roof inspection after another contractor suggested I get a new roof ASAP. I was able to get an appointment with Bob Wright (the co-owner) within a few days of calling. He showed up on time and was able to conduct the inspection even though it was raining. He told me my roof was in good shape given its age and thought that a new roof would not be needed for another two or three years based on the current age of the roof. He also gave me a rough estimate of what he would charge for a new roof, which will be helpful in budgeting for the expense. Bob could have easily sold me a new roof, but he was very clear that he did not want to tell a potential client that they needed a new roof when they really did not. He was honest, straight-forward, and answered all of my questions. I will definitely consider his company when the time comes to reroof.

I've been wanting/needing a new roof for a couple of years now, so I checked out Angies List and reviewed some service service providers in my area. This whole experience has been wonderful! From Start to Finish, the professionalism and courtesy has been great! I found a coupon on Angies List for Wright at Home and decided to use it! The crew showed up when they said they would and Bob and Nick worked/oversaw the whole project. I'm VERY satisfied! Thank you!!

I noticed water spots on the ceiling in 3 of our upstairs rooms. Bob, the owner, amended his schedule to come out promptly because rain was forecast. He diagnosed the problem as a problem with the flashing around the chimney. He repaired it, gave me a product to address the water spots on the ceilings, reassured me regarding the integrity of the attic insulation, gave me advice about follow up on the chimney, and then didn't charge me anything! What a gentleman.

They took a look at how the water was draining, made a quick adjustment to the flashing and cleaned out the gutter where the water was draining. This was done quickly and without charge! Very good post work follow-up (even after a couple of years). These guys are good, and care about their work.

Bob Wright came out and gave us an estimate for half the price of another company. we went with him because we knew someone else who had used him. He was able to come out to complete the job immediately and did a great job. The shingles onour house are no longer available and he did a good job matching them. We are buying a new house and will need a new roof soon. Wright-at-Home will be the only company we call.

I had ice dam leaks the last two winters that resulted in water penetrating into my home. I wanted someone to look at my roof in the areas where the ice dam had occurred and see if there was any damage from having the ice dams removed and/or recommendations to stop the leaking. Bob came out within a week of my call. He showed up exactly on time. We went up onto my roof together and he assessed the problem. He provided a solution that I could do myself - using some roof cement and sealing the shingles in the valleys where the ice dam is occurring. He said they could do the work, but if I was a bit handy myself it was something I could do. He also took the time to look over the whole roof, make a couple of home maintenance suggestions, and recommendations for other easy fixes that I could do myself. Bob spent a total of about 35 minutes with me and did not charge me for his consultation or sharing of his expert knowledge. It was a great experience. If I need roofing services in the future, I will be calling Wright-At-Home roofing to do the work.

Bob came out mid-winter to inspect a roof leak. We were ready to give up on this roof after our second leak in two winters but Bob assured us the roof was fine. He could have easily sold us a new roof. He placed us on his follow up list for spring and just stopped by on his own to seal everything up. Great service, great integrity. We will be calling him again.

They were wonderful, professional, personable, and clean. I had all good things to stay and we would highly recommend them.

The entire experience with Bob and his team was fantastic, from the intial call and scheduling which was very prompt to the the repair. I was Surprised how quickly they were out at the house to fix it was within two days. He even tapped down a few other areas while he was up there. I would highly recommend Bob and his team and I will be using them again in the future!

Bob and Roxanne were great. We are in the process of selling our home and an inspection showed frost in the attic. I was horrified, but Bob reassured us it was fairly common and made several suggestions for dealing with it. We will see what the buyers want done but are hugely relieved that we are not looking at having to spend thousands of dollars. Bob was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough. I would highly recommend him.

We first contacted Wright at Home in 2011 following the purchase of our first home, knowing it had faulty shingles from Certainteed. We were looking for an estimate for a new roof, following a horrible estimate experience with the orange box store. Addison came out and did an estimate for a reasonable $10,000 in 2011, and then in 2014 we were finally ready get to the roof. The new estimate was a few hundred dollars more than three years earlier for architectural shingles, but we then added new drip edge for a total of $11,400. Addison got on the roof, did some measurements and provided a straightforward estimate. We weren't sure about which kind of black to get, so later in the week, he went out of his way and dropped off two samples so we could decide. Installation day was straightforward and the main crew guy arrived on time. Though they put tarps on top of some of my plants, none were hurt too bad, and clean up was neat and tidy. I had them redo some of the drip edge corners where inexperience of some of the crew led to hammered corners and an unappealing look. I think it was Jose who fixed the issue and also replaced a couple sections where nails from the shingle installation overshot into the drip edge. Nick was the project manager and he stopped by during the installation. Initially the city inspector didn't pass the roof installation because he only looked at the pictures and didn't actually get on the roof to see flashing around the chimney. Nick called the inspector up and then the city passed it after reinspection. At some point, the paper that the inspector was supposed to sign and leave at my house disappeared and Wright at Home didn't seem to have it either. Luckily my insurance company didn't need it. Nick also came out a few days later to add more caulking around a chimney where it had shrunk. Even with a couple missteps with the drip edge, they made good on it, and I would consider using Wright at Home again.

Roxanne was very helpful on the phone, she set up the appointment with her son. They accommodated my request for a later appointment. I work until 5:30 p.m. The sales presentation showed the GAF products and he answered all my questions. The proposal arrived w/in 4 business days. Once we decided to use their services, we were scheduled the next week! They arrived early, got right to work, and finished quickly. The yard was immaculate! They were great!

Verry good roofing job and excellent clean-up. I was not satisfied with the low quality leaf screen. It was not what I had before. The porch screening job was done by the roofing salesman. I would prefer a professional job. Completed by a professional installer. The roofing salesman did not consult with me before hand.

We worked with Addison and Roxanne. They were both very patient and understanding. Wright-at-home provided excellent work and were able to finish the roofing job in one day. They replaced the roof decking and shingles on the house and garage. The gutters were finished the following week in just a few hours. We plan to have them back when we decide to do the siding.

My biggest reason for going with Wright-At-Home Services was because Bob not only came out and quoted us the job, but also said he would be on the jobsite during the work. I had 2 other quotes (lower and higher priced), but the salespeople did not plan to be at my home while the work was being done. Since we had a vacation planned right after the start date, I wanted to feel confident they were going to do what was discussed and it would be done correctly. Both Angie?s List and Twin Cities Consumers' Checkbook gave positive reviews/marks for Wright-At-Home and after meeting Bob (arrived on time and answered all my questions before and after we gave them the job), we felt they were trustworthy and I was confident the job would be done as discussed. We lucked out on the scheduled project day and the weather held out just long enough for most of the job to be done. The gutters were put on while we were on vacation and I wasn?t worried at all if it was going to get done the way it was planned. I put off getting a new roof for 5 years because the thought of dealing with a contractor for such a big project had me dreading it, but because they did such a wonderful job I will definitely be calling them again for a quote when the next project comes around.

We had an overall exceptional experience from start to finish with Wright-At-Home (WAH). After getting a few competitive bids, we decided to have WAH re-roof our home. Employees we talked with were very knowledgeable, nice and very responsive to our needs and wants. We had some initial concerns about weather, damaging plants and debris; but the whole job was completed with the highest quality of products and workmanship. All team members were very conscientious, customer focused and professional throughout the project including Addison,sales; Roxanne, administration; Nic, project management and roofing crew.

Bob Wright came to our home and provided an estimate to replace roof on 10/8/2014 arriving on time. His professional presentation with written estimate was excellent as it included copies of the liability, workers compensation, state license, bonding and applicable certificates of his company. His estimate included lifetime warranty proposing to utilize Certainteed Landmark shingles and if more than three sheets of decking were needed, a charge of 48.00 per sheet would be added. I specifically asked about credit card for payment and was informed that there would be no extra fee. We were positively impressed on the thoroughness of the estimate, but did not select Wright at Home Services because of their Certainteed product line quality.

He did a great job and was extremely generous! He was cordial and answered all my questions but also did the job quickly defiantly and well. We will surely contact him again when we need small or large work done on our roof!

Our rep was very helpful & nice their price was competitive & I felt their work was excellent.

Bob got up on the roof, asked if he could do some fixes while up there, and then said that while the roof is definitely aged that wasn't the problem. The problem was poorly done flashing that needed to be re-nailed and sealed. He also gave me a bleach kit to get rid of existing stains to make sure no new leaks appeared. His overall impression of the roof was similar to Sela. However, the difference is that while the roof will indeed need to be replaced it doesn't need it right now. It will need more ventilation installed, will need a rolled product instead of shingles on part of the roof (all things Sela and other people have said) - he could find no evidence that those items were actually causing the leaks. With the heavy rains last week, no leaks appeared so I am hoping it was indeed all flashing issues. When I asked for the total cost for the repairs, Bob said nothing (had spent about an hour on roof). When I am ready to replace the roof, I will definitely call WAH. Of note, my husband has used WAH to reroof a prior home years ago and had the same great experience with Bob.

Bob Wright came to inspect my roof and give me a free estimate on roof repairs. He showed up right on time and was very courteous and professional. While he was on the roof he fixed some shingles and caulked some areas where the shingles meet the flashing. He said that was the extent of the repairs I needed. When I asked him how much I owed him he said nothing. I would definitely recommend Wright-At-Home Services and I won't hesitate to use Bob again for any future home improvement needs that I have!

From start to finish, the process with WAH was professional, honest and efficient. Addison did an excellent job of matching our needs with the best product for our situation. There was no pressure just an excellent presentation. The crew was punctual, clean, and respectful. Raphael was at the job site early and knocked on the door, to ask permission to get started, right at 7:00 am. The crew cleaned up after the first day of work. The owner stopped by the house to insure that work was progressing and to our satisfaction. The office staff was equally as impressive. They submitted the final invoice to our insurance company and I received reimbursement on all charges. I would recommend Wright at Home, without exception. Great experience from start to finish!
