THE GENTLEMAN WAS VERY FRIENDLY.

Description of Work: IN DECEMBER, 2002, I SCHEDULED TOTAL ELECTRIC TO DO SOME MINOR ELECTRICAL WORK AT MY HOME (ABOUT 3 HOURS WORTH), UNFORTUNATELY, I HAD TO CANCEL. CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGED IN JANUARY, AND I SCHEDULED THEM AGAIN TO PERFORM THE WORK, BUT AFTER I QUESTIONED THE $75 V $50 TRIP CHARGE, MARILYN SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO JIM. I RECEIVED A VOICE MAIL MESSAGE FROM JIM THAT HIS COMPANY WOULD NO LONGER BE ABLE TO HELP ME OUT - THAT THEY WOULD LOSE MONEY ON MY JOB. JIM ALSO SAID THAT IF I WAS INTERESTED IN WAITING UNTIL I HAD A FULL 8 HOURS OF WORK FOR THEM, THEY WOULD THEN BE ABLE TO HELP ME OUT. HAD I BEEN GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO TALK WITH JIM DIRECTLY AND NOT SIMPLY BE TOLD THAT I WOULD MAKE THEM LOSE MONEY, I WOULD HAVE ADDED A COUPLE OF ADDITIONAL PROJECTS FOR THEM FOR THE DATE SCHEDULED. SINCE JIM SIMPLY REFUSED MY BUSINESS, I WILL TAKE MY CURRENT AND FUTURE BUSINESS (AS WELL AS REFERRALS) TO ANOTHER COMPANY.

THIS MEMBER LIVES IN BIG LAKE. SHE WAS QUOTED A $50 TRIP CHARGE. WHEN WE LEARNED HER LOCATION WE INCREASED THE TRIP CHARGE TO $75. SHE POSTPONED THE WORK. THE SECOND TIME SHE CALLED WE REMINDED HER OF THE INCREASED TRIP CHARGE. THEN WE POSTPONED WITH THE MEMBER DUE TO HER LOCATION AND THE SHORT DURATION OF THE JOB (IT JUST WASNT PROFITABLE). WE OFFERED THE MEMBER TO SCHEDULE A FULL DAY OF WORK AND SHE SAID SHED CALL BACK. WHILE WE TRY TO ACCOMMODATE ALL MEMBERS, WE NEED TO MAKE BUSINESS DECISIONS THAT FIT OUR CUSTOMERS AND US.
