I initially contacted Total Electric via email requesting an estimate for the above work. Jim called me soon after and was very easy to deal with. Above all he listened to what I needed and provided helpful input as well as assuring me he could complete all the work within my desired time frame and budget. He actually completed everything in less time and for less cost too! What's not to like? All the work was done to my satisfaction and overall, I'm absolutely delighted. I felt very comfortable leaving Jim at my house to complete the work while I went to my office. Jim is an incredibly nice guy, polite, courteous and above all, very professional. If you need some electrical work done, need it done properly first time and priced competitively, then call Total Electric. You'll be glad you did. I am and I will use Total Electric when I next need electrical work done at my house.

They were on time and finished well under estimated time needed. They were there to install the outlet and replace bathroom fan. When I realized they were going to be done early I asked if they could take down a ceiling fan and put a new light fixture up instead. It was done without any trouble.

Jim did an outstanding job on our project He was the ideal electrician for me, as I wanted to do as much of the work as I could, leaving the more complicated tasks to him. Jim was more than willing to work with me in this manner, and spoke with me numerous times on the phone before he actually came to do the work, advising me on what needed to be done to bring the house up to code. I don't think every electrician would be willing to work with a customer like this, but it saved me a great deal of money. I'm sure Jim would do all of the work for someone who is not eager to do any of their own work, as well. I thought the amount that he charged was quite reasonable.

The whole experience went smooth, from the first phone call to the end of the job. No problems and he showed up right on time and got everything done in time for me to open for business.

The electrician did exactly what he said he would do. He was easy to talk to and explained what he was doing. He was there on time and was fabulous to work with. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

They did wonderful work. I was pleasantly surprised at the price and would use them again.

Jim did a thorough inspection of house before providing an estimate in person, then gave a follow up call to see whether we had made a decision yet. He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive estimate we got, but he seemed the most honest and qualified; for example, he caught discrepancies between our new home inspection report and what he noticed. He was very efficient but still friendly and accepted my help to speed his process along when I could. He even did some sweeping after the messier jobs. Jim also provided help over the phone about a problem we had not even hired him to fix - above and beyond. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

The representative was fine. He was very helpful. He helped us to do few different things on our own so he didn’t have to charge us for that.

Jim came out and gave me an estimate. He showed me how to partially assemble the ceiling fans to save me money. He had the conduit shipped to me so I could paint it so it would not be too noticable in my cedar lined room. He arrived on time with all of the needed equipment. The contractor who was installing the french door removed the cedar from around the duplex receptical. JIm was able to reroute the electrical so the remainder of my outlets still work and the door is installed properly. He finished assembling the fans and installed them in a manner that the conduit is as invisible as possible. He installed the dusk to dawn light by the new door. Asking Jim to change the light bulb in the bathroom was a last miniut request. I (and several other people) had tried to get into the light fixture (which is a combination light and exhaust fan) without success. Jim was gracious about being asked to do a menial chore. He told me that my exhaust fan needed to be cleaned. I told him I was aware of that but between working and taking care of my terminally ill husband, cleaning the fan was low on my list of things to do. When I got home that evening I found all of the work completed to my satisfaction AND Jim had cleaned the exhaust fan. I plan to use him again next spring when I remodel the bathroom. Jim was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend his services.

Exceeded my expectations. I called late in the week a few days before I was having the service done and was basically given a ballpark estimate over the phone. He came out the following Monday and did the work. The total came in a little lower than the ballpark estimate over the phone. While he was out at the house, we discussed some other work I would like to have done in the future. He gave me an idea of roughly how much it would cost based on the time needed to do the work. This included what would be realistic and what may not (putting a light fixture in a closet that is too small, etc.). I will definately be using Total Electric for my future electical work.

We received our estimate very promptly after the walk through. I scheduled for installation a few days after. Total Electric showed up on time and finished by the next morning. Total Electric was very friendly, respectful, and punctual. I will use this company again if ever needed and recommend them to other people.

Showed up promptly both for estimate and work. Was very thorough and conscientious, cleaned up quickly, even moved wires to new hook-up (could have waited for power company to complete). Handled all paper work, called inspector, has followed up twice to make sure were happy and that everything is okay.

He was on time and efficient. He cleaned everything up, and I didn't even know he was there. He got everything done quickly too.

We used Total Electric in the past and they did an exceptional job, which is why we called them again. We needed a simple electrical connection installed and the gentleman we spoke to said he would be out the next week and would call us a day before. We never heard from him and when we called he said to find someone closer to our location.

Early one morning (Tuesday, April 14th), I went to turn the furnace thermostat up and noticed that the furnace did not come on. After doing some basic troubleshooting, I was unable to get the furnace running, so I called the local utility company. When the service technician came out, he noticed that there was no power to the furnace so we checked the electrical panel and noticed that the circuit breaker had tripped. Once we reset the breaker, the furnace came on. All seemed to work as it should, but for some reason the service technician decided to check the wiring to the furnace. He noticed that the electrical wire that goes from the furnace to the electrical box on the ceiling looked strange. It almost looked corroded or moldy or something. He recommended that we turn the circuit breaker off until I can get an electrician in to check it out. I found Total Electric out on Angie's list and give them a call. The electrician came out and re-wired the electrical wire. He also fixed another light that wasn't working, tightened a ceiling fan that was getting a little wobbly and helped me reverse the fan blades on another ceiling fan. He was in and out in less then two hours. Great Service. Cost was very reasonable. No surprises there. Would highly recommend Total Electric.

They never came out but they did everything they could to help me figure out what the problem was. They had very knowledgeable advice to give me. They never tried to make any money or sell me anything; instead, they saved me $75.00 since I did not have to pay a service call fee.

I called Total Electric about a problem I was having and they asked me some questions and gave me an idea where the problem could be. Total Electric said he would call back before he was on his way to the house to make sure that I had found the problem and fixed it myself so I wouldn't be charged for a service call. I found the problem and fixed it myself with the help I got from Total Electric. They called back and asked if they were still needed just when they said they would, but since the help I got from them they were not needed.

Jim was great. The work was performed well, he gave me some tips on some other projects that he thought I could do myself, and even left me some batteries for the new thermostat. I appreciated the work.

Within two weeks of providing a verbal estimate, Jim completed the original work request along with a few more home owner initiated changes which caused a price increase from the quoted estimate. But for these changes, I believe he would have been under his estimate. One surprise that came up during the effort was a need to add a grounding wire. We were happy that Jim could accommodate our changes and was able to offer suggestions on the best way to do them. Jim has a great attitude, is a hard worker and very knowledgeable.

The work was top notch. Jim arrived at the time he said he would, finished the job in the estimated time frame and even had the inspector there to look over his work so I wouldn't have to take another day off of work. The inspector said Jim's work was the best he has seen. Being newly widowed and afraid of electricity Jim took the time to fully explain things to me.

Jim upgraded our electric and was great. Hired him to check out air conditioner as no power was getting to it. Jim looked at the problem came up with a solution and provided information along the way.

Unlike several other electricians who either did not return my calls or failed to call back as promised, I was able to reach Jim on my first attempt. After describing the work I needed done Jim explained his fee structure and we scheduled the work for the following Monday. He arrived on time that day, completed the work expertly and promptly, and charged me a very reasonable price for the time it took him (approximately 2.5 hours).
