Not only did they blow out all the lint which landed on the ground outside of the house, which I hope the birds will use for nest making, but they confirmed that the dryer duct run was intact from the exterior of the house to the dryer. They did not perform any cleaning of my dryer inside the house as I had previously disconnected the dryer from the duct work because I plan to replace it. I was given a 3 hour window for the service appointment and the crew showed up within the first half hour of that 3 hour window. I think the whole procedure took less than 30 minutes. I was very pleased with this service company. I joined Angie's List to get a referral for this service. I received a discounted rate of $77 flat for the service by using a coupon found on the provider's website. The scheduler worked with me to squeeze me into their busy schedule when they had a cancellation. I mentioned the $77 coupon I saw on-line and that's what the crew charged me at the completion of the service. There was no attempt to upcharge me or sell me on other services. I would not hesitate to use AAA Anderson's again for dryer duct cleaning or any other service they provide. Thanks Angie's List for this excellent referral.
Description of Work: The provider cleaned out the long, horizontal run of my dryer duct from the outside of the house. My dryer duct runs below the floor along a joist space underneath the second-story floor - from the center of the house to the back wall of the house. There was a compacted plug of lint in the middle of the duct run that I wasn't able to clear myself from inside the house, and I would not attempt, nor allow my elderly father to attempt, to clear the obstruction from the outside of the house because it required the use of a long, heavy extendable ladder that the service company brought with them. The duct vented out the back of the house about 1 1/2 stories above the ground immediately above a very large bay window which could have been easily damaged while placing the ladder in place. The two crew worked together to place the ladder successfully above the large bay window and alongside the vent exit hole. They temporarily removed the three louvers on the duct exhaust vent so they could feed their 25-foot long reverse air snake into the duct all they way to the beginning of the dryer duct in the center of the house. I could see the nozzle at the beginning of the dryer duct from inside the center of the house and they could see the light from my flash light confirming the duct was intact beneath the floor. The reverse snake is attached to an air compressor hose hooked up to the service truck and the air at the nozzle end of the reverse snake actually blows air backwards towards the operator and directs the air flow, and thus lint / dust / debris back towards the duct exit hole on the outside of the house. So the lint doesn't flow towards your dryer but out towards the outside of the house. No rotating brushes were used - just the high air pressure of the reverse air snake. This was a very slick operation and completed quickly. The air blowing process took less than 10 minutes and maybe closer to 5 minutes.

Called at 10:30 am and received a recording saying they were out to lunch from noon until 1 and would promptly return my call. Never returned call. Day 3...and counting. Called a competitor and they returned my call immediately and provided perfect service. Numerous similar issues on the reviews for this "service" provider.

+ 3 moreI added on the duct cleaning after they were already here, but fortunately they had time to do jobs both on that visit, so one man worked on the fireplace, while the other got started on the duct cleaning. I hadn't known when I scheduled the fireplace service exactly when my remodeling and painting would be completed, but I knew the ducts would be a mess after a kitchen and bath remodel and painting, so I was relieved to get everything done in one morning after the craziness of a major remodel! The fireplace was still working fine, but the glass had gotten grimy over the past two winters, so it looks great again now, and the embers were replaced and . They got loads of sawdust, sheetrock and other remodeling debris out of the ducts, as well as enough cat hair to make another cat, so the air is going through the ducts much more forcefully now. I had replacement furnace filters on hand, so they put in a new one for me, so spring cleaning is now done! :)
Description of Work: I'd purchased an Angie's List Deal for gas fireplace cleaning, and that's what we'd scheduled a couple of weeks in advance. In the intervening weeks, I had a lot of sanding and painting done in the house following kitchen and bath remodeling, so when the guys came to work on the fireplace, I asked if they also did duct cleaning. They did, and I asked if they had time to do that on that visit as well. They were able to do both that morning, so I was thrilled!

+ 2 moreThe service was great. With busy weekly schedules, they were able to provide us with a weekend appointment. They came out and took care of all our duct work cleaning. We had bought the Angie's List coupon for $99 and they did offer to also clean our gas fireplace for an additional $50. We were having trouble with the blower and they got everything up and running again. Well worth the extra money as we would have ended up paying a fireplace company much more than that to come out and look at it. I would definitely have them back and recommend them.

I described problem of sluggish fireplace ignition when switch was flipped and lead guy diagnosed faulty sensor and offered replacement on the spot for an additional price. He also found a crack in a fan element that he could replace but said it was not necessary. Very professional and honest. Gave me some helpful hints to keep fireplace running smoothly. Very happy with service and fireplace has not run so quietly and efficiently for years. Thanks AAA Anderson's for a job well done. Apologies for not remembering the technicians names, they were great.

They diagnosed the problem with our ice maker as a broken gear and said they could replace it for about $150 right then. We agreed and the fridge was making ice within a few hours. They did a great job.

+ -1 moreIt went great!!! I purchased this as an Angie's list deal for my daughter's house. They were really on top of things and contacted me within a day or two to set up a date for the service. I wasn't there and neither was my daughter but my wife was and she was really impressed...... Denise told me these guys were really good and after 32 years of marriage I'll take her word for it!!! She said two guys showed up. They were neat, clean, friendly, and that she felt very comfortable with them right off the bat (kind of regular guys). They went right to work on the duct cleaning. They found some pretty nasty things in the vents from previous owners and stuff and took care of everything in stride. My wife was thinking maybe she would clean the vents as they removed them but they said that wasn't necessary they would take care of it. My wife asked about upgrading to an anti-bacteria thing and they said that was already included. My wife also asked them about the dryer vent and one of the guys checked it and told her to save her money this time it wasn't needed!!! When they were done they told the wife that they needed to meet the dogs and went outside to check out my daughter's Pit Bull/Labrador and Husky - LOL!!! We are definitely calling these guys to do our own house and highly recommend them.........

I was curious as to how the process worked and how much stuff was being pulled out of my vents, so they would call me to where they were working whenever they had something interesting. They also suggested getting my dryer vents cleaned out and stated that it'd be half the normal price since they were already out at my house. So I added that on for $50 (and since I had never had that done before in this house I'm living at currently). It was interesting for sure - they showed me all the blackened lint when they opened up the dryer. The stuff that had burnt! I'd recommend them. Thanks, guys!

+ 0 moreThey helped us understand why we were having a problem with sheetrock dust as we had moved in to our house about 15 months ago and it was new construction. The were efficient and finished in about 30 - 45 minutes. They both gave us great information so that we can make sure that our furnace and vents are clean and working at capacity. We did not need to clean up other then vacuum the dust that came out of the vents. They did a great job.
