They cleaned out the vent which had not been cleaned for years and did a check on the dryer to make sure it was operating effectively. Website had indicated they offered a senior discount. However we were not given one despite my request. Other than that, they were great.

It looks more realistic too. The two technicians were very considerate of our home, removed their shoes, laid out cloth drop cloths and there wasn't a speck of dirt after they left.

+ 4 moreMatt and Vinc showed up right on time and did a thorough and complete check-up and cleaning of my Regency Gas Fireplace. Since I was there and interested, they were willing to explain what they were doing and to give me pointers: about cleaning the glass window, keeping the pilot on year-round and other details. I really appreciated that. As a result of our conversation about other services that they do, I had them clean our dryer vent in the basement, which was very full and had been worrying me. It was discounted because they were already here. Bravo!!! Really great guys and very efficient. They were careful about my floors and carpet. I will definitely call them again and I recommend AAA Anderson Appliances in Forest Lake to others!

The Rep even noticed my fish tank and gave me a tip for the cloudiness... I followed his tip and now our fish tank is sparkling too! Will use this service again. Very pleased with the results!

+ 1 moreThe experience was pleasant. The technicians were friendly and didn't show any annoyance with my wanting to follow them around. I followed them to learn more about my old house and to be sure I was getting the work done that I had hoped for and I did get a job well done! It took me a long while to select and schedule with a provider because the cost for vent cleaning is so varied its rather crazy-making. My furnace company wanted more than $800, AAA Appliance--on special through Angie's List-- charged around $100/$150 with the dryer and dryer vent cleaning. It has now been a couple months since the cleaning----which was actually the first time the vents had EVER been completely cleaned since built in 1959 (apparent as there were no access areas cut into the vents)! There was accumulated dust balls like small soccer balls that the technician showed me toward the end of the project. OMG! Since the heat is now on, I had one day of a dusty smell and I do see a bit of dust that seems excessive and that I wonder if that amount will continue to show up, but I haven't had any trouble with sores in my nose. Last winter I constantly had sores in my nose from the dust in this forced air system. I'm very happy with the work that this company did and with the technicians that did the job. Thanks!
Description of Work: I requested air duct cleaning for a recently purchased duplex in which I also live. The technicians came in and got an overview of the house and the work they needed to do. One worked in the basement primarily operating the suction unit while the other cleaned both the intake and output vents on the upper floors.(It has been a few months now so my details may suffer a bit.) In most cases vent covers were not removed but a device was pushed through slots in the vent covers to loosen debris. This seemed like it may not be as thorough as would be ideal but in the case of my house I was rather glad as I had recently painted the vent covers and re-installing them was a nightmare--so the fact that that didn't need to be repeated was great! The dryer and dryer vent cleaning was also done--an add-on the day of the vent cleaning. There was no pressure to do this just that it was offered and I thought if I did it at the same time it would be a clean start and easier to track. I also learned from the technicians that when there are dryer fires its from the build up of lint in the dryer itself--which makes sense. I just always thought that it was the build up of lint in the vent where fires start--which doesn't make sense because its not in contact with the heating element (my thoughts not their comments exactly) :) ...but now I know!

+ -1 moreOverall very well. Just two issues (the reason I didn't give an overall A grade and the reason I gave a C for professionalism). The workers were overall very professional, but one gentlemen seemed annoyed when I asked for an overview of the service and when I asked questions about things he said they were going to do. I had to ask him to slow down for just a minute (he wass rushing because he had another job to get to; this is what he told me) because I am the homeowner/customer and deserve to understand everything that will be done, ask questions, etc. But the main thing is, after the service (I didn't inspect every single vent cover when they were still here) one vent cover in one of our bathrooms is damaged (paint scraped off on one side, very noticeable) along with some damage to the floor tile underneath. The worker would have noticed this, and should have said something to me and offered to replace the vent cover they damaged. But other than that, they know their stuff and did everything else very well. So I am chalking the issues up to anomalies (hopefully). I would use them again. However it would be nice for someone from the company to contact me about the vent cover.

In addition, they pointed out that my hot water heater was leaking even though they didn't do that type of work. They also recommended that I not repair my electronic air purifier. Instead, they suggested the type of replaceable filter to be used, took the measurements for it, and told me where I could purchase it. They saved me a lot of money in doing so.

+ 0 moreThe initial phone contact was informative and helpful. I accepted the suggestion for a repair call. Two technicians arrived as scheduled, did some cleaning inside the machine, and determined there were two faulty parts. The parts were ordered. When the parts arrived, the installation was scheduled for the next day. The team arrived as scheduled, installed and tested the new parts, and applied sealant to the area where the inside of the door is joined to the outside of the door. The original failure was caused by water intrusion into the door damaging the electronics housed there. There was no additional "trip" expense for the second visit. A delightful experience working with AAA Anderson's.
