I called 8/30/13 for a dumpster to arrive the next week. The driver arrived bright and early on the appointed day, at 7am. He was very careful when lowering the dumpster onto the driveway and clearly an experienced driver. I finished up my project by Friday morning, and they arrived the same day to haul the dumpster away, even though they preferred a day's notice for pickup. The pricing includes a week rental, so I found it to be a good deal. They're professional, responsive, and friendly. I will definitely think of LePage & Sons for future work.

They did great work. Everything went smoothly.

They were easy to work with and very curteous. We scheduled a drop off and then I called when I was finished and they picked up the dumpster the next day. I had no issues. This is the second time I've used them.

I have forgot to bring the garbage out to the road and they brought it out for me. They are very helpful. I have also used them for dumpster rental for a construction job and their prices were very reasonable.

Great customer service, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it and will definitely use them again for future remodeling projects.

Great experience from start to finish.

We used LaPage & Sons dumpster service two years ago. We had such a great experience the first time that we called on them again this summer. Both experiences were exemplary.

I have never written a bad review for anyone - I don't like the confrontation. That being said, this is a negative review. I've used LePage in the past, and had a good experience with them at that time, so when things started to go awry this time, I wanted to give them every opportunity to make things right & gave them the benefit of doubt along the way. However, the recent experience I had with them left me so bewildered that I felt I had to write about it - call it my "Angie's List Duty", I suppose. I ordered a 15-yard container to be delivered to my home (spoke to Kitty (sp?)). The dumpster arrived first thing in the morning on the delivery date - top marks for that. Upon seeing it, I thought it looked a little smaller than 15 yards, based on dumpsters I had rented on previous occasions, but I didn't have time to measure it because I was headed out the door to go to work. Later in the day, my wife took the measurements of the dumpster and gave them to me over the phone. I did the math & calculated that the dumpster was only 12.8 yards. So, I called up LePage & talked to Jake, wondering if they had delivered the wrong dumpster by mistake. He went to check with dispatch (apparently they keep records of each dumpster & where it is going), and he came back on the line and told me that the right dumpster was delivered, but that it is one of about 10 that they have that is a little shorter in length, but taller than their normal 15-yard dumpsters. I asked him if he had the dimensions on it, and he went & checked with someone & came back saying that no, he didn't have the dimensions. I didn't measure the box myself, so I wasn't completely confident in the 12.8 yard number that I came up with, so I asked him if they had any boxes that were between 10 & 15-yards, to which he said "no, nothing in between". So, I left it alone for the moment, but after my work day, I came home & measured the box. The measurements my wife had taken were spot-on. I re-ran the numbers & came up with the same volume: 12.8 cubic yards. The dimensions that they list on their website for a 15-yard box are closer to 17-yards. So, not only was the box smaller than 15-yards, it was a full 4 cubic yards LESS than what they advertise on their website. This time, I called up & left a message on their voicemail since it was after business hours. My message was very matter-of-fact, just stating that I had taken the measurements, that the box was 12.8 cubic yards & I was disappointed to find that the box was substantially smaller than the one they told me I was getting (and paying for). The following morning, I received a call from Kitty. She was very nice & said that they don't ever want customers dissatisfied with their service. I told her that I was dissappointed by the fact that I got something different than what was sold to me. She then told me that because they have acquired other businesses in the past that they have some of these non-standard boxes that have different dimensions than what is listed on their website (I'd be fine with different dimensions as long as the dimensions add up to 15-yards). She also stated that when taking measurements for the dimensions of the box, that it should be measured from the outside of the box, not the inside. I have since checked with a few manufacturers of roll-off containers & they have refuted this idea. If a person is calculating the VOLUME of the box, you measure from the inside. The 15-yards is referring to the VOLUME of the box - what it can hold - therefore, measure inside the box. Of course, measuring from ouside edge to outside edge would have inflated the capacity numbers, which would have gotten this under-sized box closer to the 15-yards that they said it would be. I'm not saying Kitty intentionally misled me, but her statement on how to measure a box was incorrect. To appease me, she offered to take the price of my roll-off down to what the 10-yard box would cost: $265. So, this was a nice gesture, but I was still left with a bad taste in my mouth. In addition to the $265 cost, she said that the permit fee (for placing the roll-off on a residential street in St. Paul) was $78. I thought the permit fee sounded steep for placing a dumpster on a street for 5 days, so I looked at the city of St. Paul's website & found that it costs $7/day - or $35 total. So - I placed another call to Kitty and asked her what the cost was going to be again - I wanted to be sure that I had heard her correctly the first time. She again stated that it was $78 and it was a non-adjustable fee. I told her that seemed kind of steep for St. Paul & at that point, she said "Oh - St. Paul? Oh, St. Paul is $7/day." I'm a bit puzzled as to how or why she thought $78 was the permit fee - she had my address right in front of her - she could see it was St. Paul. So, my experience in a nutshell: I ordered a 15-yarder, they gave me a 13-yarder. They tried to convince me it was a 15-yarder. When I pointed this out, they reduced my bin fee by $35, but increased my permit fee by $43. Kitty & Jake were both very nice through the whole process, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. They have lost a customer for life & chances are they will lose other customers as a result of this review. IF AFTER THIS REVIEW YOU STILL DECIDE TO USE LEPAGE AND SONS, MAKE SURE YOU 1) REQUEST THAT THE BIN THEY DELIVER MATCHES THE DIMENSIONS ON THEIR WEBSITE AND 2) MEASURE THE BIN TO MAKE SURE IT IS THE CORRECT SIZE.

Their prices were very good. I also liked that the owner notified me of a free recycling service, and also saved me some money in the process. I was very pleased with their work.

I'm very pleased with LaPage service from my first contact to current. LePage made sure I had the right size containers without over buying a service. The price they quoted was complete; including all the taxes, fees etc - no add on pricing afterwards so unlike other companies I knew up front what their service would cost me. To my surprise after the first pick up the owner called me to ensure I was happy with their service and if I had any questions. Amazing - the way it use to be -- fantastic customer service!

There have been times when we have forgotten to take the garbage cans into the driveway but they have come up to the house to get it and have taken it back down; nobody else would do this. They are great and their pricing has been the best that we have found.

They provide excellent service. They have good prices. They removed the trash and they actually even took the trash can even though I forgot to put them out of the street, to the house actually and got them, checked them and took them. I would use them for sure in the future again if needed.

GREAT! Customer service on phone was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable on what size to estimate and get. Best price I could find for the size and offered an Angie's list discount. Even let us keep it for a weekend longer than projected for no extra charge. Would use them and recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

My mother passed away in August, 2011, and she was a very heavy smoker. I had to throw out most of her furniture and belongings simply because of the smoke damage. I needed the condo cleared before I could do anything else - paint, clean, etc. I called several companies and none of them had a 10 yard dumpster - until I called LePage. But because they are so great - they were also booked. But the minute I mentioned I was an Angie's List customer - they moved things around and were able to accommodate me on the dates I needed it. They even called to tell me there would be an extra cost for mattresses in case i wanted to remove them from the dumpster. I highly recommend them - and don't forget to mention Angie's List!

Their service was fantastic. I called and explained that I needed a dumpster because I was taking down about 250 feet of 6 foot high privacy fence. The person I talked to suggested that they send out a 30 yard dumpster which would be tall enough for me to line up the sections of fence inside the dumpster instead of stacking them, but they would only charge me for a 20 yard dumpster. Can't get fairer than that. The gentleman who dropped if off put it exactly where I asked and checked to make sure it was in the right place before he left. The same driver picked it up the morning after I called and he was just as pleasant and polite as before.

Kitty at LePage was great to work with. She showed flexibility in allowing me to keep the dumpster longer. We only filled the dumpster half way, and on her own she discounted the service fee. The dumpster was delivered and picked up on time with calls before and after and placed in the right spot. I will use LePage again and recommend them to anyone looking for great service at a competitive price.

I needed a dumpster for some spring cleaning. I called LePage and Sons, and they were very friendly and helped me figure out the best size dumpster for my needs. I ordered the service, and then a few days later called back, as I thought I might have gotten too big a container. They told me they charge by the ton, so I actually would not be charged by the size of the container. They also came in $100 under the original quote when they found out I was an Angie's List member! They dropped off and picked up as scheduled - I would definitely use them again.

Very well, delivered when promised, extended pickup date when project fell behind schedule.

I called three places. The rates here are competitive and the extra time allowed (more than a week) was appreciated. The staff at this company is professional and responsive. I received an Angie's List discount - $229 for a ten foot dumpster for two weeks. We filled one up and order another one. Delivery and pick-up was timely and request for placement of dumpster was met. Staff explained what materials were included for disposal in the quote and items such as large appliances would be extra. Overall, a very positive experience.

This is the second time I have used Lepage & Sons for dumpster service. (The first time was for a 20-yd dumpster in March 2010). Both times they provided the requested service with a short lead time (i.e., the next day). They are courteous, prompt, and conscientious, in addition to having a very competitive price. Without a doubt, I will call on them again when I need dumpster service.

Dumpster was dropped off and picked up at the times quoted to me when I called for an estimate. Price charged to credit card was consistent with price quoted.
