Gaslin Garage Door of Bemidji

Previously this year, my garage door opened quit. Gaslin's installed new garage door opener. Prompt service and great job. November 10th, had an accident with my garage door. Within 20 minutes of my panic call he arrived.. Worked on the door to get it to open to get my car out. I had no one to help me - so very grateful he came right away and saved my day!! November 23rd, 2 new garage doors installed. Excellent job - from start to finish! It's great to know there is a service who truly knows how to deliver.

I called initially to get an idea of what it might cost me to repair my mothers garage door. It quit working half a year ago and she was ok with just not using it anymore, but with the cold weather and snow, I wanted to see what I could do about getting her back into her garage again. The guy I called asked a few questions, what type of opening system we had and why it was working. I gave him the details he asked for and he gave me a rough estimate. The amount was very reasonable, considering it wouldn't be a NEW INSTAL, so I made an appointment. The guy's son came for the service call. I showed him into the garage and kind of waited for HIS assessment but he kind of made it seem like I was a bother and basically asked me to leave him alone. He knocked on the door a few minutes later and stated that he got it working, but suggested new parts to make sure it would continue to work, so it was agreed to replace the parts he suggested and he said he would just head out when he was done because he doesn't "leave a bill". The bill came in the mail later and was more than DOUBLE what the guy told me over the phone when I set the whole thing up. I thought it was not very cool for them to draw me in like that and stick me with a bill double what it was originally supposed to be. I don't think I would use this company again if given a choice. I was familiar with this company because the owner provided service to a faulty garage door opener that was installed by a relative on the garage door/garage I rented in my apartment complex last year. It was a week of minus 30 degree temps and he still showed up the day I made the call. He serviced the opener and installed a piece of metal to strengthen the garage door. He came out two more times that winter, at not cost to me, to make further adjustments. When i moved into a new house this summer, I called him to come out and look at my barn and see if an overhead door could be installed. He came out twice to give my handy man information on how to prepare the barn for the garage door. He helped me make a good decision on what type of door to choose. Two days after the garage door arrived, his son came out to do the installation. The owner's son was professional, personable, and worked quick. I love my garage door. Gaslin Garage Door of Bemidji does what they say they are going to do. And they do it in a most timely manner. I made sure my neighbors and family and friends know about the good work they do.

Service was excellent, I called and was given a quote. They came out 3 days later (we were out of town) and fixed the issue and went above and beyond to check all aspects of our garage door to ensure that it was working properly. They were in constant contact about work performed and when they would be to our home. Service was definitely an A++.

Jerry Gaslin answered his phone within seconds of me calling him to tell him I had backed out of my garage too soon and damaged the bottom panel of my garage door. I was distraught, having to take a pet to the vet for emergency surgery and started backing out of my garage before the door had made it all the way up. After I got back from the Vet I Google'd garage door Bemidji and Gaslin Garage Door was the first entry. I called Jerry, he picked up immediately and when I told him the story he made an appointment for me the next day after I got off work. He was on time, his vehicle had his company name on the side and he called me before arriving to ensure I was home and he had the correct address. Jerry was very professional and let me know that I wasn't the only one this had happened to. He assessed the damage to my door and immediately went to work to repair it. Instead of recommending I get a new panel he said "let's try to fix this first and if you don't like the way it looks we can talk about ordering a new panel". He hammered out the damaged areas, put the rollers back in place, lubed the rollers and bearings then tested it out. It worked great the first time. After he repaired the garage door I explained to him how I didn't like the way my garage door rubbed the ceiling joists. Jerry had a solution; he installed 2 new top roller guides which dropped the top panel immediately after starting the curve back, this increased the headroom of the garage door by over an inch which means I could now sheet rock my garage ceiling. Like I said in the subject; my garage door works now better than it did when I purchased the house almost 4 years ago. The dent in the front of the garage door is barely noticeable and the door glides up and down without a squeak or rub. I am one happy camper!
