+ 1 moreThe work that was done on the project took about 6 weeks - way longer than expected. Dan brought his son to do the majority of the painting and the quality of the work was no where near what we had received previously from Dan himself. Several times I had to show Dan places that were missed, sloppy or paint was on the floor /baseboards, etc. One room had two accent walls in dark green that bled over to the ceiling and lighter colored walls. Another room had air registers that were left the old paint color until I pointed out that they need to be painted. The whole process took way too long and the quality was poor. I had to create a punch list of items to fix. Dan returned one final time to fix some of the items but not all. He advised that he could come back later and fix the dark green paint that bled to the ceiling and the lighter walls, but it has been 6 weeks and we've never heard from him.
Description of Work: We hired Dan to paint our basement family room, laundry, master bedroom, guest room and office, then put up new baseboards in the basement rooms and some other miscellaneous work. On a different occasion we'd had him do some ceiling repair and painting that turned out great, so we fully expected a similar experience the second time around.

+ -1 moreWe found Dan easy to work with, he provided a good estimate, and stuck to it. We communicated via email and I found him to be very responsive. It took a couple of false starts before he was able to get started on the project. This was due to other projects that he had that took longer than expected - we understood - but as with everyone we were anxious to get it fixed. When he finished the project the ceiling looked perfect! Very well done and we would defintely hire him for further projects.
Description of Work: Repaired the kitchen/family room ceiling after a water damage and repainted it , repaired drywall damage in the 2nd bathroom and painted the entire room, then fixed drywall in the furnace room.

+ 0 moreHe was not punctual and didn't return our calls. He ended up not doing the work in the end. It took us a week and a half just to get in touch with him. We couldn't schedule anything with him, so we found someone else to do the work.
Description of Work: We bought a new house from a local builder and and there was some warranty stuff, so we contacted Dr's Home Remedies and they contacted Dan to do the work. There were multiple things to do and Dan was only doing part of it which was patching some cracks in the ceiling in the bedroom.

Description of Work: Required shower wall rehab for reduced rent of Handyman Dan Ruppert of Dr's Home Remedies in 2011. Upon continual request to please finish the job, many excuses given by Dan and the job was never completed. Upon tenancy termination the job was still not completed 1year later! I have not been given back my $400.00 for that job. A person should NOT pay until job is completed. Separate issue of painting 2 bedrooms for me in Nov 2011. They took wallpaper border off but did not sand down or remove the backing and painted right over that border backing. One can see the border paper line through the paint.

+ 1 moreI am in the process of a kitchen expansion that inclides a new bathroom / mudroom / office. I hung the drywall with a friend and solicited people on Craigslist to bid on the taping and mudding. Dan was right in the ballpark and did the job for what he quoted - he was also great to work with - communicated well - showed up when he said he would - did quality work - finished ontime. I will recommend him to anyone looking for taping and mudding work.
Description of Work: Taping and mudding 1850 sq feet of drywall with soffits.

+ 1 moreDan Rupert is the owner and it is just him and they do different kinds of handyman work and seems nice and honest.
Description of Work: They did some stucco repair, some minor electrical work, and some outside trim work that wasn't involved but was kind of way up high on the roof.
