Horrible...they destroyed our carpet in 3 different locations, the daughter acknowledged they were at fault, the mother, the owner, never saw the damage, would never return my calls and then claimed our carpet was old, which It wasn't and how could she come to that conclusion since she never bothered to check out our complaint. As I have written before, we had just remodel our house to the tune of $100,000 and didn't replace the carpet because it didn't need replacing. They look good on the surface, and the initial cleaning went fine, but I was at home when the damages occurred, didn't see them happen, but the cleaning crew were huddled in the hallway talking in Spanish, which I happen to speak so I heard most of what they were saying and they left quickly not saying a word to me. The response and denial of the company is outrageous. All I will say is buyer beware.

The initial contact for a quote via e-mail went very well and communication was prompt (with Melanie). A date for an in-house appointment was made for Pamela to show up at the house for a full quote for move out cleaning. We met Pamela for our walk-through of the house and a quote of $200 was agreed upon (that included cleaning out the front patio and garage) and for us to leave a cash payment on the counter for the crew. The day after the cleaning, we went over to the house and noted that the patio was not swept out (we understand that it was fall and we didn't take the leaves into account) with gravel all over the front door. We walked indoors and for the most part, the floors looked to be cleaned up and the upstairs carpet was vacuumed (we saw vacuum marks). During our walk-through, we were told that the drawers and cupboards would be wiped down and cleaned out and the sink wiped down, but that was not the case. The drawers did not look like they were even vacuumed and there was still bits of dust/dirt still in there. The sink had crusty bits in them that were not there before, so not sure what happened there. I walked toward the stairs and just saw a layer of dust still on the bottom of the banisters. I had to dust it and wipe it down myself as we had a house showing the very next day, so we did not have time to call them and have them come back to re-clean the house - to be honest, at this time, I just wanted to be done. The last straw was when the kitchen floors still had shoe prints from when the movers were just moving a few weeks prior. I was actually going to have a contract for them to clean our new house, but I had to rethink that because of this "first impression". It is very unfortunate, as they had been a recommendation from a friend of ours and we wanted to like them.

Overall, the cleaning crews did a good job for the 1.5 years that I retained their services. Unfortunately, the last cleaning in early October did not meet my expectations or the typical performance that they had done on past cleanings. I communicated to MyGirlsCleaning that I was disappointed in the wood floor - there was still dog drool everywhere and you could see the schmeered rag strokes - leaving the floor in worse condition than it was before they cleaned it. I asked MyGirlsCleaning if they could please come back and re-do the floor....there was NO RESPONSE. Two months later, I receive a text from MyGirlsCleaning reminding me of my scheduled service, without any acknowledgement of their lack of response to my concerns....I told them that I would no longer be using their service because of their lack of responsiveness in fixing the wood floor problem. MyGirlsCleaning reactionary response to this was, "we apologize for the lack of communication...is there is anything we can do, please let us know". Cop out. They had no interest in keeping me on as their customer and I'm not sure why because I was a steady customer that never complained in the 1.5 years they had me, an easy cleaning job, plus I got them several clients in my condo building. If they were interested in keeping me on as a happy customer, they would have offered me a discount (or FREE) on my next cleaning to make up for the crappy wood floor and lack of accountability when I communicated these concerns. I would have happily accepted that offer and this review would have been about how great they are.

Having read the response I finally have to respond again. Thier comment about wanting their insurance company replace our carpet is completely false. We had just completed a renovation of our home that was over $100,000, which Melanie was aware of. Our carpet was and is in very good condition (except for the damage caused by My Girls). Had it not been, it would have been replaced during the remodel. What I find completely apalling is that the owner never returned my calls, never contacted me or attempt to see herself the actual damage they clearly caused and offer any type of repair options. It seems that they avoid any responsibility for their employees damage and in this case the owners daughter's first comment was that they clearly caused the damage to our carpet. Good luck to anyone who uses their service. I would welcome any contact from the owner.

I e-mailed My Girls House Cleaning and requested an in house estimate. The woman (Melanie) contacted me and asked me when I would like to set up an appointment and that Pamela had 3 days she did appointments. I told her when I was available. I didn't ear back from the company after that... so I contacted the company again and let them know again when I was available again. Melanie set up for Pamela to come to my home at 6pm on the 15th. I waited 20 minutes before I left home to bring dinner to my husband. I e-mailed Melanie to let her know that no one called to say they weren't coming or were running late and I was leaving the house. I checked my e-mail again this morning and had no response from her to that e-mail and no voice message from anyone from the company saying they weren't coming or were running late. My husband did find a business card on the front door. So someone must have come after I left the house... no note on the card.. no message on my cell or house phone.
Description of Work: Poor communication and no follow through on an in home estimate for house cleaning.

I had called earlier in the day about when to expect them and was told between 1-3 pm. At 3, no,one had shown. Three women showed up at ~ 3:15, after I had called. The job they did was great, no complaints whatsoever.
Description of Work: Cleaned my entire house - refrigerator, blinds. Looked great. My home is ~2500 sq ft, two level. Four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. For too many reasons, it hadn't been cleaned fully in over a month.

I have had MyGirls for the last year and a half. during that time I have had only had 2 cleanings that necessitated a callback. When I had to call them they PROMPTLY responded and sent someone out to resolve the issue. Their typical cleaning is thorough and they have teams of 2-3.

After countless non-returned phone calls and flimsy excuses by the owner's daughters and the rudeness of the owner herself, in the end, we are very reluctantly having our original Dyson repaired. We are concerned that even after repairs, it won?t perform the same way. I am having it repaired as I want to FINISH my business with this TERRIBLE company and BE DONE dealing with them. I am just shocked at their terrible customer service and for turning the blame back on their customers for their mistake. I originally hired this company as I wanted to support a local, woman owned company - what a disappointment. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone interested in hiring a cleaning service.
Description of Work: MyGirls Housecleaning claims to provide everything needed to perform their cleaning duties in your home. I was surprised to discover that they did not bring with them a modern vacuum with attachments to do a thorough job of vacuuming. I personally saw the outdated, upright vacuum that the crew brought with them with no attachments. In fact, I was so disappointed in the shoddy job they did vacuuming I had a supervisor come back out and re-vacuum our house. Given this, I left our Dyson DC07 (aka “purple animal”) vacuum out for the crew to use so they could use the attachments and complete a more thorough vacuum. We purchased the Dyson DC07 (aka purple “animal” vacuum) for the increased suction power – this is important in our household because we have two dogs that shed. Much to my dismay after letting them use our Dyson, I came home to find a hand-written post it note where a crew member admitted “I am so sorry to inform you but I broke your vacuum” (taken word for word from the original note). The note also said “please call the office with any questions.” Of course I had questions – how in the heck did the crew break a $400.00 Dyson vacuum? Accidents happen…I understand, however there was never any explanation given by the crew or office representatives on what happened. Pamela Jones, the owner of MyGirls, accused us of misusing our vacuum before the crew used it – in fact, my husband used it the day before the crew used it to vacuum his office (since his office was NOT included in the cleaning rotation). It was in one piece and in perfect working condition. I still have in my possession the note from the cleaning crew ADMITTING that they broke it which Pamela fails to acknowledge. MyGirls refused to replace our personal household vacuum with a Dyson of equal value that their crew members admittedly broke in the course of us trusting them to do business in our home. After providing a substandard loaner vacuum, they tried to hurriedly dismiss the situation by offering a USED Dyson DC40 (the original “yellow” vacuum) from Amazon. We will not accept a USED Dyson DC40 (aka “yellow” vacuum) as again, the suction power is not sufficient for our needs and the value of what they broke was indeed greater. Pamela Jones, the owner of MyGirls, also accused us of trying to “take them for a new vacuum.” It only seems like good business practice that it is replaced with a new item of equal value. Their company brochure also claims to be fully insured to cover any loss or accidental damage, but they do not practice what they preach. Sidenote: In addition to this fiasco, I also had a cleaning crew supervisor come out a second time to re-clean our kitchen and master bathrooms. Their cleaning crews do not "clean" (meaning scrub) - they'll swipe a wet cloth across your counters & topside of your toilets, throw the covers over your bed, haphazardly vacuum your floors and then take your check and run.

My husband and I both retired this year from jobs in Bismarck, ND and bought a house in Lakeville, MN. When we came for the walk through before closing we found the house to be completely filthy. The previous owner had not bothered to clean anything or wipe anything. So after the closing of the house, I started looking for someone to clean the house before we moved in. We hired My Girls Cleaning company to clean for us. One of the owners came over and was very friendly. During the conversation I informed her that we had to go back to Bismarck to finish packing and that we would like it cleaned before we moved in. So together we went through out the house, her documenting what I wished to have done. I showed her the cupboards which had stuff spilled all over them and not wiped up. I showed her the stuff under the sink that had mold on it. I showed her the lights that had an inch of dirt and grim on them. I showed her the inch thick dust on the top of the doors and frames. The bugs in the lights. Yes, the house was this bad - I can't put into words how filthy it was. However, she new how bad it was and what needed to be done. We settled on $300.00 for the house and around $250.00 for the windows. We left and went back to Bismarck. My oldest daughter made sure they could get into the house and she brought the check with her that morning. On the designated day the cleaners showed up, took the check, cashed it. I cannot tell you my suprise when we started to move in. As far as I could tell NOTHING had been done. I'm not sure if they cashed the check and forgot to come back and clean or what. I called and stated my dissatisfaction. Their response "Thank you for calling"! I got to the point that every cupboard I opened I took a picture of and sent to them. The company finally sent someone out - I think she stayed approximately 30 minutes, if that long. By this time the house was full of boxes and crates. The house was so bad that we couldn't even sleep here the first several nights. So in a nut shell - I wouldn't hire them to clean a dog's house. I do need to say that I was VERY happy with the windows. I know the men did those and they were wonderful. However - the rest left a whole lot to be desired. It is really sad because I would have paid more if need be and I would have hired them to clean on a regular basis. I am still angry at being so taking advantage of. I will get over it but I will NEVER give them even an ok recommendation!

Crew of 3 really didn't do a thorough job of dusting or general cleaning. Many items had to be re-done by us and after a period of time it wasn't worth trying to get them to get it right through explanations upon their arrival so we changed providers.

I was satisfied with the overall cleaning and therefore scheduled every other week cleaning. I requested Wednesday, after 12:30pm as I had a part time job and wanted them to come after I left. My husband would leave the house and return after the cleaning was complete. I had specific instructions --- my vacuum, my polish for the wood furniture. I was told that they handwash the floors. I was working extra hours during the summer so I felt they really helped with hoursework that I was not able to get too. However, when I checked the house the next day or so, I was unhappy with various things. We called and identified numerous issues and they had a supervisor come out and review work. She even had things redone. This last time, only two girls came and stayed only 45 minutes. I had the chance to watch and then also check everything. Well, for $125.00 each cleaning, I called to cancel their services. Issue 1.Communication is always handled by the office. I cannot discuss what the problem is and have it corrected on the spot. Yes, I can call the office and had done that before and they came back. But here we are again and I can't dicuss with the crew. Problem 2, a different crew every time. If the same crew came, they would know what was required plus, after getting to know my house, the next cleaning would concentrate on a different part. Cleaning would be perfect. Instead, they start over everytime. Problem 3, they do surface cleaning. After the last cleaning, I got down on my hands and knees to clean the bathroom floors. A tub in the main bath was not even touched. It is not used so I guess the dust that gathered did not need to be cleaned. I watched the woman wash the kitchen floor but how can you miss a corner where a spider web was. There was also one in a corner in the bedroom that should have been vacuumed. Problem 4, my request was to come after 12:30pm so I could be on my way to work. They would call ( not always) to give a time frame and show up before or after the time frame. I want the same crew at the same time on the same day. I pick up so cleaning can be done quickly. As far as I am concerned, all they did was push the dust around and vacuum. My husband promises to vacuum so we are returning to doing the cleaning ourseleves. I had one women do the cleaning every other week before I retired and never had any issues. Wish I could find the same again. Response from office, was "I guess you want an independent, if you ever need an overall done again, call" Not me!

It started out great. They did a great job. Their price was a little steep, but since it was by the job I figured it would even out. As time went on, I noticed that they were not doing as good of a job. They may have switched floor cleaners, but whatever they were using the last few months was not tough enough to handle the mess of a dog. I put my house on the market, and asked them to start coming weekly. I was a little shocked their price of $125.00 didn't go down. The only way to get them to pay attention to all the details (which a house on the market needs) and really do a job was to leave the crew a $20-30 cash tip. It got to be too expensive for what I was getting so I went with another service. The one thing to be said is that they were excellent in switching my days if necessary, and coming at the time that was most convenient to me (they have 3 slots, like an 8 am, 11-1, and 1-3. I always preferred the later one, and they could oblige 9 times out of 10.

I had started using them for bi weekly housecleaning in May. Everything was going fine for the first few months, but then one day after they had been here cleaning I noticed a spot on the carpeting on my stairs landing. I went to try to pick it up, thinking that something was just on the carpet, when I realized that it was a bald spot, and that the fibers were completely worn down and gone. I called them back that afternoon to ask about it, but it was after hours, so I left a message. They got back in touch with me, and denied that they had caused the spot. They came back again to clean for me a few weeks later and after they left this time, I noticed a pretty big slit in the carpet outside the door to my guest bedroom. I measured the slit, and compared it to the vacuum marks from their work, and it was an identical match. I called them again, and about 2 weeks later the owners daughter came out to look at the damage, and she was appalled. She admitted that they had caused the damage. I told her that this was what insurance was for. She said "I'm sorry" but then said "Gosh, I probably should not have said that". She told me that she would speak with her mother, the owner, and get back to me. About 3 or 4 days later, I had not heard back, so I called them. The receptionist told me they had talked with the girls who did the cleaning, and they denied everything. A couple of days I received a letter from the company denying all damage, and stating that they were not going to clean for me anymore. A few months later, I was cleaning in our formal living room, a room we rarely use, and I discovered another slit in the carpet. I have no idea when this happened, but it was the exact same as the other slit they had caused. I am highly disappointed in the way that this has been handled. Their lack of responsibility is outrageous.

Response from My Girls Housecleaning
As the member had stated in her complaint, we stopped by to examine the damaged carpet. The carpet was very old. The damaged spots looked like her dog had torn them up. Our vacuum is an Oreck vacuum that weighs only 8lbs. It is a residential vacuum. The bristles on the vacuum are not capable of damaging carpet. After reviewing all the information we had felt as though she wanted us to get our insurances to replace her carpet for damages that we were not responsible for. For this reason we canceled her cleaning.

They did a fantastic job! Our windows are sparkling, the window sills are spotless and the screens are perfectly clean. The cleaners were very nice and respectful of our time and space. I got two other quotes from other companies and they were $100 - $200 more expensive than My Girls. We will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: We used My Girls Housecleaning's window cleaning service. We have an old house with really old windows and they cleaned all four sides (windows and storms), screens and vacuumed out all of the window sills.

First off, they came out and quoted well, priced a little higher than the competition but looked like a solid company. They looked good on paper, but I knew there was a catch. First cleaning went well and did a fair job. Second time out, again did a fair, not great,but fair job cleaning. They missed a number of spots, but when called on it, next time around they took care of them. It became a theme with them as time went along. Issue, call and they fixed, but then missed something else the next time. The Issue that caused them to loose our business : A couple days after one of our cleanings my wife asked what happened to the dining room table. I was like what are you talking about? Looked and it was taped up under where part was broken. We started asking questions because it looked like someone tried to fix it. We called the cleaning company and after chasing them and pressed them for an answer if they had something to do with it. The manager called finally and said that not only did one of the girls break the table, but they dug in our drawers and got tape and taped it back together to cover it up. Not only did they damage something, they dug for supplies to fix it in our drawers, then they tried to cover it up and never told us. That is where the problems stated. We called and chased them for weeks in an attempt to get this solved, My Girls Solution; we the home owners track down someone down and have them fix the table and then we will figure out what to do about the bill. If one of my employees broke something and then covered it up, I would be over the moon to make sure that person got the white glove treatment to make sure it was fixed and the customer was happy. Instead, since the incident we have had them clean a couple more times and the level and quality has suffered. It has been over 3 months and the My Girls Owners don?t care to press the issue and they have had sub-standard service since. I have asked around and a number of people are also having issues with their level of service. I would not recommend. A company that allows their employees to cover up damages they do while in your house, what else are they over looking. Final thoughts: I thought they were a good clean, family owned company, I was wrong. Crazy was we email about the concerns about the table and poor service in the end, their response ?Wish things would have went differently, but we know weren't not a good fit for everyone.? ? Wait a second, According to a MY Girls Rep, people are ok with Poor Service and Stuff getting broken. I guess we are the odd couple who are NOT OK with things getting broken and poor service. Watch out for these ladies.

It went really well. Liked the woman who came out to see my space and give me an estimate. Price seemed fair and I was able to schedule quite easily. Minor miscommunication in that they didn't clean my fridge and said it wasn't checked on the slip they called the office and said they could do it but it would be an additional charge. I asked to talk to the office directly and explained the initial experience with the estimator and that she'd likely just missed a box as she filled out the form. She agreed what I said made sense and agreed to have the women clean it quick I was very pleased. Would rehire them. Thank you!

They were very was y to work with. I called for a quote and they went out to the property within a day of my call. Sent me a quote through email. I think we were then able to schedule within a few days after that. They took time on the phone and through email to answer all of my questions very thouroughly. Service was done the day they said. This was not the house we lived at and they had no problems with letting themselves in with a lock box and locking the house back up. Also, because this house is empty and being in MN, we asked that they turned the toilets off after done washing. They did that no problem. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but the last thing we wanted was a running toilet with no one there or a frozen pipe burst. They worked with us and that is the point I am trying to make
Description of Work: Cleaned an entire vacant/abandoned property for us. This was an old Farm House that had most likely not been cleaned for 15 years. My Girls made the place look great. We were very impressed and were able to list the vacant home shortly after the service was done. They did everything from unfinished basement, garage, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.
