The experience was awesome. They have a terrific product and their crew was great.

It was pretty good. Every one was great. We did have one problem though, one of the doors that we ordered were not the ones that were delivered. They had to take those back and re-order them which took another three months. We were a little unhappy with that but as far as the company goes, they seemed to be pretty stand up guys. They were expensive- they were not cheap.

We weren't planning to replace windows at this time, but circumstance required it. Great Lakes Windows & Siding gave us a great price on a great brand of windows. We had three other bids, and chose Great Lakes because of price, window quality, and professionalism. The guy who came to measure our windows was very professional and friendly. He went over the whole installation process and told us what we needed to do to prepare - including adding smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to pass inspection. Everything is custom-made, so we had to wait about 5 weeks while the windows were being made. They called when the windows were on the truck, and we made a point to be available the first day they could install. The installers were professional and explained what they were doing. They were also VERY clean, covering our floor before taking a step inside our house and covering the work zone with plastic sheeting to protect the inside of our house. The installers were punctual and easily finished the job in half of one day. They also rebuilt the space between two of the windows where the wood was rotting. The outside wrap looks fantastic, and our new windows are even more energy efficient. We are thrilled to have maintained the character of our home (built in 1900) with new windows. The wood grain finish matches our trim perfectly. The windows on our main floor were original, and the new windows feel so much bigger because we have more glass. The vinyl sides are quite narrow, which opens the window more than we expected it could.

They let us know a couple of days ahead when they would be out to start the work. They were at our house and on time as stated. The work went well, and everything was done in a timely manner as stated by the company. The workers were nice and respectful of our house and our time. The windows are put together like a vault and we are looking forward to many years of well functioning windows. The door is very tight and secure. We would use this company again.

Overall I was very pleased with my experience with Great Lakes Windows and Siding. First the cons...the sales pitch was lengthy and could have been shortened significantly. Second, the door had a noticable issue when opening and closing but the installer didn't address it even when pointed out. That's all the cons. The pros... They had a 25% off MN state fair discount which helped considerably and was the deal-maker for us. Also, when I called a few days after the install to address the issue with the door opening and closing they were very sympathetic and apologetic and readily remedied the issue. Also, the scheduling of the install was very professional and the crew arrived at the right time, did a great job on the install, and cleaned up well after they left. We love our door and would definitely use them again.

That service turned out very well. We are very pleased. They did a great job. The part they did for us it took 1 week. I worked with a sales person first, who has some basic knowledge. We did have an unusual set up, so when the installers came out it took them awhile to do some planing. I feel like there could have been a better way for them to work through that, instead of using time in our house doing that. They did show up on time and they cleaned up after themselves. They were good about keeping us up to date and they communicated well. They were also contentious when they did the demolition too. The price was also appropriate for what we got.

That turned out beautifully. Everything was wonderful. It took them only one day to do the installation. I also referred my neighbor and a couple weeks later I had a check in the mail, which was $100! I loved my sales man, the installation guy was great and I was very happy with them.

That turned out alright. I am a repeat customer with them. I wanted to make sure the windows match so that is why I went back with them. They were a good company. There were some issues, but they have since then been resolved. I would give them an A- or B+. They do also have good warranty and we like the product. They stand behind their work.

The windows (Sunrise brand) were custom made to the exact measurements taken. Measurement is a critical step for getting windows (as I have learned the hard way). As a DIY'er I first attempted to remove and install a window myself. It didn't go well. Buying windows at retail and shimming them to fit is not a good idea for a house you plan to live in. I learned the hardest way possible, by trying and failing. So I called Great Lakes windows. Salesman came, Thomas. Great product demo. Worked with us on price and was fair. Great Lakes put in a rush order for us because I had ruined one of the window installs already (DIY job) and we had a boarded up window facing the street. Nice, right? It still took several weeks because each window is made to spec. And I saw for myself they are within 2mm of the opening. Makes life easier for the installer, and is also easier to reliably seal. Also way impressive considering I was lucky to buy a window at retail within even 2 inches of the opening size. The windows are expensive compared to retail stores and even local competitors. But they are of high quality. If you are going to live in the place where you're getting windows installed, consider the liveability factor if you're thinking of going on the cheap. Installer was friendly. Said he usually works with a helper, but was still able to get the 3 windows in with no issue.

It was a dog and pony show very pushy. He actually ticked off my husband enough that my husband left the room. Made comments to my husband trying to be funny but they were given like my husband was stupid or something. We used the three day cancellation clause and cancelled the order.

We were very pleased. Our installer, Garry was outstanding. Each day he told us when to expect him and what he planned to do that day. It took him 5 days to complete our basement (excluding floor). He had to rip out the insulation on the exterior walls, frame the interior walls with steel studs, install the doors and wall panels. There was no mess and the noise was minimal.The basement looks great. We like not having to paint and being able to remove the wall panels if necessary. We have no reservations recommending this basement system.

The entire process was very expensive; and there are cheaper ways to remodel a basement. However, it seemed like putting in drywall was just asking for more problems if water did leak in the future. My husband did quite a bit of finishing work and painting after they left. He wasn't happy with some of carpentry work, especially on the stairs. Also the process left us with a much smaller living space than we expected, due to nature of construction. The panels are vulnerable to damage from moving furniture or kids throwing balls- more than drywall, but we haven't' had any further leaking. The appearance is more like an office cubical but it did provide a clean pleasant living space for kids to watch TV/ exercise room.

Quality is very good, and the installer did an excellent job. The price was okay. There is pressure to commit to purchasing at the time of the sales presentation. You are only guaranteed the price if you sign a contract the day you meet with a sales person. We had an estimate for replacing our front door from Great Lakes afterward, and declined their business because they would not allow us to gather other estimates from different companies. They insisted we sign with them immediately if we wanted the price that was quoted.

It went very well. Their product was very good. Their installation guys were excellent. Their warranty was great.

Everything went very well. They gave a nice quote. They did a review of everything we needed, made sure that we knew what they were going to be doing and what we needed to do. Then they did the installation which was quite a complicated installation. They did an awesome job. They did well on the clean-up and they have a good warranty.

They were fine and they were extremely good.

The one job that they did for me was fine. It was good. They were right there when they said they were going to be.

We shopped around and they had a good product of value. They weren't the cheapest, but it seemed to be a steady company, and after looking at a few we picked them. I recommend them. They were on time, they did what they said, and the installation looked really good when they were done. They were dependable, and came out on time was a good thing.

We have them out twice in the last 7 years. We are very happy with the product, the service, and the price. They have done excellent work, and provided value to us. The interactions with them was very good, and we have recommended them several times.

It was an excellent experience! They gave me a $500 discount and they did their own financing too. They cleaned up after themselves and exceeded my expectations.

The experience with them has been great. We were referred to them by my friend who had used them, and I was very pleased. I liked the way they put the siding on, I liked the feature of the base underneath the siding, rather than the flap. I would recommend them. We had to have a fascia replaced, and that took a while for them to come out and do that, and we were a little disappointed about that.

They worked quickly. It was done very personally. They cleaned up really well. They got it done in a whole day. Some of our windows are rather big so they did have to do some ordering. It turned out well.

Great Service! Great Windows! I have had these windows for one winder season and noticed savings in power and comfort! I will be requesting they return to finish up the remaining windows in the future.

Working with Great Lakes was a pleasure. They did a total remodel of our basement family room, and later of our basement utility room. Everyone from the sales consultant to the contractors were very professional, helpful, and friendly. Our utility room was a particular challenge, but the suggestions we received proved to bring excellent results! The work on both projects was completed in a very timely manner, and even the cleanup was thorough! We happily and confidently recommend Great Lakes Window and Siding for home remodeling projects.

THERE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE TWO INSTALLERS-ONLY ONE CAME-TOOK LONGER OF COURSE-THERE WERE SOME NICKS IN WOOD-GREAT LAKES WAS SUPPOSE TO SEND LITTLE BOTTLE OF TOUCH UP PAINT-NEVER GOT-TWO WINDOWS DO NOT LOCK-NOT SURE IF THEY INSULATED AROUND WINDOWS-SEEM COLDER IN WINTER-EVERY TIME IT RAINS THE SILLS GET DIRTY-NOT IMPRESSED WITH WINDOWS-LOVE THE DOOR,BUT SCREEN DOOR THAT THEY INSTALLED IS OFF-HAD TO REMOVE THE THING AT THE TOP THAT MAKES THE DOOR SHUT SLOW-ONCE EVERYTHING WAS INSTALLED IT WAS LIKE I COULD NOT GET A CALL BACK
