Was very happy with the work so I contacted them again several months ago to get a quote on a adding a window to another area for light. Salesman came out, we talked, he measured and took pictures and never got back to me. Not cool. |

Description of Work: The installer went above and beyond and came up with solutions the salesman had overlooked. There was a delay as the electrician was unavailable the first week which delayed completion. I love the way the basement turned out, tho.

Description of Work: Replaced a large window in the master bathroom and a privacy window in the master bath. Initial consultation was very good. He provided me with different options and explained everything very well. Installation was supposed to occur on a Tuesday afternoon, but another job ran over so it was rescheduled for that Friday which was an inconvenience as I had already arranged my work schedule. However, the installer was very professional and apologized for rescheduling. The installers were fast, high quality, and cleaned everything up very well. He also explained how the windows worked and made sure I didn't have any other questions. I will be using them again this spring as I continue to replace windows in my house. I recommend them highly!

Description of Work: Great Lakes renovated my bathroom. I had the old fiberglass shower unit removed and a new shower enclosure constructed using "Bath Planet" tile panels. I also had a new toilet installed, a new bathroom countertop with seamless sink installed, and grab bars for the bath tub, shower and toilet installed. The installation was estimated to take 3 days and was completed on time. It has been 6 months since the renovation and I am still very happy with the quality of the workmanship and materials.

Description of Work: We had new windows installed in our full house and a new back door. They are wonderful and the service was prompt and the job was completed in 1 day. The crew started at 7am amd left here at 9:30 pm they worked long and hard. They cleaned up every bit of the waste and protected our house with tarps. I am thrilled with the job and our windows.

Description of Work: I had a basement fininsh system installed which took the company over a year to install my window and install a door to enable meter maintenence. The installer was super fantastic! His professionalism and customer service was great. I would rate him an "A" all the way. The salesman? Was a salesman, he missed the window on the original bill of sales, which I had to pay for it to be installed later. And it was 1.5 years later!!!!

Description of Work: They replaced nearly all the windows in my house. They were always prompt in arriving, and cleaned up very well each night. The quality of their windows is very high and their installation was great.

Description of Work: rwe order 3 doors front, back, and a storm door for the back door. when the installers brought the doors, they brought the wrong storm door they where going to pick it on the front door husband showed the installers the purchase agreement show the storm door was for the back door, the company went and made another storm door, the installers was going to bring the 2nd door the installers open the box and notice the door was damage, the company had to make another door. we got a phone call saying the 3rd door was coming. the installers came over and it was for the front door and not for the back. the installers measured the back door and went to the show room and told them it was the wrong door and gave them the measurement for the door. about 2 weeks husband called them to see if there where making the 4th door and they said they where not because they said husband had change his mind about the door and husband said the he order a storm door for the back door and he didn't change his mind and they said that they would make the 4th door, when we got the 4th door husband look at the door and said that's not the door that we ordered he called the company and they told him that's the door we order and said that he change his mind what door we wanted. we got a hold of the company that great lakes gouse through for the storm door and found out we got the cheap door,. when we called the great lakes and told them what we found and they said it was the door that we orders. we went through the BBB and the great lake said that's the door that we order and it was a free door . we also went through minn attorney general and great lakes told them it was the door that we ordered and it was a free door. we ended up taking them to small claim's court. when the judge came in the room he wanted us to go out and see if we can agree on a sentiment. we should the great lakes person the numbers on the door what it says on the purchase agreement and we showed him the number's that was stamp on the door and he said he will order the door that we wanted. after 2 years we got our door

Description of Work: Sub-par experience. Home office called and said sales rep would be running late, likely an HOUR, but rep would call when on the way with an ETA. Rep did not do this and showed up unannounced nearly 2 hrs late! We had no idea what to expect but figured an hour appt at most.....try nearly 3 hrs. After already being very late, it would have been considerate of the rep to ask if we still had the nearly THREE HRS available (which we didn't) that he would need for his whole pitch especially with very small children running around the house. At the very least he should have molded his presentation to an active young family with very little time and ability to focus on his presentation. From the get-go we stressed the COST, COST, COST was the top priority, but yet again he stuck with HIS agenda and proceeded with his pitch on the high end windows. The rep was VERY knowledgeable on the product, A+ to be exact, but the awkward pushiness of his pitch made my husband and I feel very uncomfortable and frustrated. By the end of the nearly 3-hr ordeal, he threw out a price of nearly $6,000 over our previous bids. When we declined, he said if we'd allow to showcase our house, he give us $3000 off but we'd have to take the deal on the spot. We yet again declined, and at that point he proceeded to get on his cell phone right in front of us and call his boss and tell him we weren't buying. AWKWARD, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL. But on top of it all, he asked to do a face-to-face survey on him and his presentation while we sat there in our living room. Ummm you were already pushy and managed to make us uncomfortable in our own house, could we REALLY be honest to your face on all of the negatives we experienced?? Pass. Not a good experience.

Description of Work: A salesperson came to my house to provide a siding estimate for my house and while, from what I learned of their products seemed excellent, I felt I was getting agressively pitched for a sale. As with any large project there were considerations I had not yet even thought about regarding some of the details of the siding and whether to attempt to also have my garage done at the same time. I ended up not purchasing from this company.

Description of Work: Proposal and estimate only. The Corning basement system appears to be a high quality product, but the high pressure sales tactics really turned me off. They start with a high bid, then offer a substantial discount if you sign today. I hate that! And if the company is any good, it is likely unnecessary.
