SHADES OF GREEN LANDSCAPING

Excellent experience. Both the design team and the installation team were professional, courteous, and prompt. Our designer, Suzette, listened to our thoughts, proposed some additional ideas, and came up with a design we were very happy with. The installation team also came up with some valuable suggestions just prior to beginning the work. The crew cleaned up each day and finished ahead of schedule. Suzette followed up with us after the work was done to make sure we were happy. Can't say enough nice things about Suzette, Skip, and Shades of Green!

They will provide organic lawn care upon request and I like that. I asked them to call ahead before they come, and they do. They are great about their plowing - A+!

They did a great job. It looks very nice. The crew cleaned up at the end of the day and explained what they did and how often and how much to water. Bob called a few hours later to ask if we are satisfied. Definitely!

At first they were going to just trim some of my shrubs, but I did not like how they looked, so they helped determine new shrubs to plant instead. They did a good job and cleanup was also good. When one of the evergreen shrubs did not last the winter, they replaced it as promised in the spring. Bob was very pleasant and easy to work with. One of my neighbor's had them estimate some work and felt that they were quite a bit higher priced than others. Our association had them to some tree work; though their bid was higher than some others, they did a good job.

It went very well. We were very pleased.

I called Robert Smith at Shades of Green to order black dirt. He helped me estimate how much dirt was needed for the project, and the excellent quality dirt was delivered the same day at the estimated time. We put a plastic drop cloth next to the driveway, and asked the young man who brught the dirt to try to get as much as he could on the cloth. He moved the truck a couple of times during unloading to be sure the dirt was on the cloth. I would definitely call them again for future landscaping!

They did a really nice job. They were very clean.

They are superior. I have another project planned as well. In terms of specifics to their service they pay attention to detail and they are creative. They do great problem solving and they see problems that we aren't aware of and they help before. They are helping in the layout even though we didn't say that was exactly what we wanted because we didn't know and they have been very problem solving. They are courteous and they clean up the site. My overall experience with them was excellent.

Bob and his staff were very professional, helpful and punctual. The job was done as stated in a very timely fashion. Would hire them again.

Bob kept our appointment for a quote on landscaping. He arrived on time and spent quite a bit of time looking at the yard and discussing what we wanted done. He promised a quote in a week. I didn't hear back from him for a month. We had already hired someone else by that time.

What an impression Shades of Green has left on me! I called seven companies for estimates on my retaining wall project. Only four of them actually showed for their estimate appointments; only three actually gave me an estimate; only two were on time for their appointments and then followed-up on their bids, and only one did all of the above on time and when she said she would. That was Suzzette from Shades of Green. Combined with her professionalism, and her additional help with selecting the style and color of the blocks, I selected Shades of Green for my project. The installation went as scheduled and under estimate. They used less fill dirt than expected and adjusted the bid to reflect that. The installers were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and courteous. They did a great job and I?m very satisfied as to the quality of the work. I would strongly recommend Shades of Green to anyone looking to do a landscaping project.

We have a drainage valley across our backyard (like a small creek of water when it rains) . Our yard was eroding and we were loosing valuable grass space for years. I received a number of bids from smaller shops but just did not feel confident with what the other companies were bidding out. The bids were vague, the bidder was unreliable, the costs were huge. Suzette from Shades of Green came in walked the yard with me and gave me ideas. I felt a sense of confidence that she knew exactly what she was doing and what Shades of Green could do for us. I chose to hire them and am so happy I did so. They gave us back our grass space (4-6 ft) and build a beautiful 3 ft bolder wall. The bid was documented and detailed; the guys showed up worked very hard and were professional. Best of all is the workmanship of the wall, it is fantastic. The overall experience was so positive that I had them bid out other areas of my yard and plan on hiring them again. I would defiantly recommend this company!

We have used them about 2 to 3 times this winter. The owner of the company was very friendly and personable. They did a good job with the snow removal and they were prompt. They were responsive. I have to say I was not totally happy with the work what they did the last time because they got stuck in our yard, but then they did very willingly come back and fix it after the snow was all gone. We would use them in the future also if needed.

It went well. They did good work, and their prices were the best that I encountered. They were also very prompt, efficient, and diligent about leaving a clean work space.

I am recently widowed and in need of assistance with snow removal. This company couldn't even be bothered to respond to my request for an estimate!

He never showed up and I never heard from him.

I did not have to call Bob to ask him to clear the snow, he always arrived when it was needed. He did more than just " scrape" the drive, it was always very clear. He also paid attention to the sides of the drive so the grass was not removed with the snow. Their price per plow was very reasonable compared with other quotes I received. He was pleasant and professional. I will use them again this winter.

I never heard back from them. They were to provide me with a price in writing. Their lack of response was disappointing.

They are expensive but they are great. They are right there for the snow plowing and they are so committed. Bob was very willing to take on the organic, which made me very happy. The price is for the whole season. If I call them on the phone, they call right back. We also email and if they can't get online for some reason they call to let me know. They are just great. The price is high, but I think that reflects their quality. I have dogs and Bob is very sensitive to that.

After several years of neglect and a tornado last year which wiped out several trees in our front yard, we had nothing but sand, half-buried decorative rock, a delapadated garden and tree roots in front of our house. Suzette from Shades of green came out, measured, and gave us some ideas and, two weeks later, an estimate. We then went to their location and Suzette walked us around and showed us exactly what all the plants looked like. After this initial delay, and a little further delay due to rain, the sidewalk and stoop were installed. After the cement had set, the work went amazingly fast and our yard has the curb appeal we've always wanted; plus, it appears that once the initial heavy watering period is over, it will be fairly low maintenance, which is what we'd asked for.

They did a fabulous job. The sidewalk was very clear and I never had to worry about guests losing their footing walking up to my door. The dirve is slightly slanted so in the past I would have problems getting in the garage if any snow residue was left. Bob and his crew cleared the drive completely so I had no problem this winter. I did not have to call and "remind" them to clear the drive, they were very timely. I had injured my back and so called them when there was less than 1 1/2 inchesof snowfall and they promptly cleared the drive. Bob was professional and friendly and I will use them again next winter.

They are amazing, and they care a lot about your property and you. The landscaping is expensive but the plowing is well worth it. When they plow, they make a little special place for me to walk, or to take our dogs out.

They did an excellent job. I had a tough time over the years to find the right people for snow removal. I could find one person, but he died of a heart attack. One of my family members had died and it had snowed a lot in the week of the funeral. I called them and asked them whether they were willing to do a one time job for a week, as all of them wanted a commitment for the whole season. They came and did a terrific job and I ended up using them for the whole winter. They were prompt. They charged $35 for one time.
