PTL CONTRACTING

Jamie from PTL came out to make the bid for the project. The price was fair, but when I asked for references, he said he would call them and let me know. He never called me back, and I eventually had to do the leg work and contact someone on my own. Happened to go home for lunch one day and there was the crew in my driveway. No one had told me they were coming to install. I called Paul, the owner, and he said he was sure he had left a message, but of course he hadn't. The product is good, but I noticed two noticeable gaps in the plastic edging, not the mesh (fortunately), that I wanted to have fixed. I contacted Paul multiple times and he kept promising to have people come and fix it, but didn't. PTL has since been purchased by Quarve Contracting, so hopefully our warranty is still valid. Good product, shoddy company.

The quote was 50% higher than for Englert LeafGuard gutters. The first work crew was here less than 2 hours. They left with too much silicone sealant on one gutter & not enough sealant on the other. The front filter system was a half inch displaced toward one end, leaving a GAP at the first end. The second end was ABOVE the gutter, & it was LEFT that way...

THESE GUYS WERE GREAT! THEY REALLY DID A NICE JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME AND THEY GOT THE WORK COMPLETED WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. THEY WERE SO HONEST. THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY MAY HAVE CAUSED DAMAGE TO A TRELLIS, SO THEY BROUGHT THAT TO MY ATTENTION AND OFFERED TO DO A FREE BATHROOM VENT FOR US AND BROUGHT IT UP TO CODE. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

GUTTERS.

THEY SENT THE WARRANTY CARD LATE - POSSIBLE MISREPRESENTATION AND INEPTITUDE.

AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETE, THERE WAS A LEAK AROUND THE FURNACE FLUE. AFTER A PHONE CALL, A COMPANY REP CAME OUT PROMPTLY THE NEXT DAY AND CAULKED THE LEAK. ALSO, IT WAS NOTED THAT THE MAJORITY OF HOLES CUT IN THE ROOF SHEATHING BELOW THE ROOF VENTS WERE MISALIGNED, REDUCING THE EFFECTIVE FREE VENT AREA OF THOSE AFFECTED VENTS. THIS WAS EASILY RESOLVED BY CUTTING AWAY THE EXCESS PLYWOOD WITH A ROTOZIP SPIRAL SAW.

KEPT SAYING HE WOULD COME OVER FOR AN ESTIMATE AND HE NEVER DID SHOW UP!

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
