MIKE'S ANOKA GARAGE DOORS

I called on Saturday (but it said it was not rush) because my double garage door was coming off its track. Mike arrived punctually at 8 AM on Monday, realigned my existing track in a matter of minutes, and charged me zero! I called Mike because he installed my existing garage door opener some years ago, and I was pleased with his service then.

Overall, the work was fine, but the punctuality was average. He seemed bothered to be there as well. The price seemed reasonable/average for the services.

He was great. Very fast. Very professional. Excellent work!

Mike was prompt, professional and fairly priced. He knows his trade. We recommend him highly.

It went great. He was also the least expensive of the other highly rated companies on Angies list (advertised prices of $179, etc.-even with coupons).

Found out the spring broke on late Friday afternoon, called Mike, and he came out early Saturday morning. He was very professional and honest.

I called Mike yesterday (Friday) about my garage door. He was there Saturday morning at 8:30 to fix it. He was so nice and so efficient. He had the job done in a half hour.

This is an owner-operated business. Mike really knows garage doors. He is a very efficient worker and gets all the pieces working together quickly. He's also friendly and helps explain what you can do to keep the door and opener maintained. His cost for installing the door is very competitive with the other vendors we investigated. When we needed him to come out a few years later to adjust something, he was easily reachable, and made a point to ask what would be a good time for us, and came out quickly and punctually. We would definitely recommend him to others, and plan to continue using him when we need garage door work done.

He went very well. I had used him before and his prices were affordable and he us reliable and he comes when he says hes going to come. And he is very professional.

We had installed a new garage door ourselves and it just never ran smoothly. We had been unsuccessful in adjusting it. Mike came out on a Sat. AM and was here for all of 7 minutes. Gave several suggestions including switch out the rollers for metal ones, lubricating the door well, and making an adjustment to the track. That was the charm. It runs much more smoothly and only cost us the supplies to do it. Thanks Mike!

Mike was able to fix the door the next day which was great. He arrived when he indicated that he would, was very courteous and the price came in as he estimated. Overall it was a very positive experience.

One of the two garage doors has always been problematic, in that it didn't glide in the tracks and jostled from side to side when activated. Also, when shut, there was a gap on one end that was not fixable by adjusting motor pressure. Mike came the next day after being called. He recommended the crossbar/strut across the door that I primarily called about and another one for the other so as to keep it from deteriorating to the same condition. He quoted $45. Turned out that he had the struts w/ him but they were too short for my size doors. He said he'd be back the next day and he was (arriving even earlier than the agreed time). He installed the struts and found 3 pulleys on the poorly working door that weren't spinning well (and were probably partly responsible for the problem). He replaced them but said he wasn't going to charge me extra (WOW!). The door now rides much smoother and is flush against the ground when closed. He's a genuinely nice guy who has many years of experience.

Mike replaced a 2 springs ( 1 was broken). He also replaced the my old garage door opener. Mike was great to work with. He was very courteous, pleasant, and honest. He takes pride in his work (which can be rare these days). Very happy with the whole experience.

I called Mike at 5 pm in the evening and he was at my house at 8:30 sharp on the next day to replace the springs on the garage door. He is very professional and a nice guy to deal with. The price he charged was about $ 75 less than what was quoted by another guy. The quality of work was excellent. I would highly recommend Mike.

I phoned Mike's in the early evening when I discovered the spring was broken, arranged for a key under a flower pot, put a check on the inside of the garage door, and the door was fixed when I got home from work the next day. Perfect service! And the stop settings on my opener were re-adjusted for smoother operation.

Mike gave me a competitive quote on the phone and did the work himself the next day. He was on time and did quality work.

He showed up and fixed it, in about 25 seconds, I felt kinda dumb, but he said, no big deal. I offered him some money for his efforts twice and he just said "no, no big deal." Nice guy, treated me more than fair.

Mike was able to come out within a few hours of the phone call. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He replaced both the springs and made sure everything worked correctly. I was very pleased with the service he provided.

I called him on Thursday after I got his name from the list, he told me the info he needed. I called him back on Friday and he told me the cost per door and said he could come out the next day. He showed up by 10:30 and was gone by 1:15. Price was exactly what he quoted me. Great job!

Mike is incredible and his pricing is extremely competitive! He was able to install the new opener the day after I called. The competition wanted $329 PLUS $25 for disposal of the old opener and they were selling the identical opener. Not only is his pricing outstanding, but Mike provides good, old fashioned customer service. There are simply are not enough good things I can say about him.

I called Mike on a Saturday morning while he was working on another job. He told me he would be at my house in about 1 1/2 hours and sure enough he was there exactly on time. He repaired the spring quickly and with better parts than were originally used.

They don't make'em like Mike anymore. I called him when one of the ancient cables broke on my very old garage door. The door was in such bad shape I decided to spring for a replacement instead of just having the cable fixed. Mike talked with me about options and ordered a door to my specifications. But meanwhile he came over to do a temporary fix on the old cable so that I could have use of the old door before the new one arrived. No charge ("just part of good service", he said cheerfully--he wouldn't even accept a tip!). When the new door came in, he did a great job of installing and cleaning up (including hauling away the old door). He came back to make a minor adjustment on the door (again, no charge, wouldn't accept a tip). A few months later, I had Mike also replace the garage door opener, which had never worked properly since installation by another firm. (New Chamberlain opener, $219 parts and labor, works very smoothly). Again, superb work and service!

We set up an appointment time, and I took time off work so that he could come in and do the job. I lost a half day of work, and Mike never showed up or called about the missed appointment. I was very disappointed. He seemed like a reliable guy on the phone, and he has a lot of positive feedback on his other reports. I will not be using him to make this repair, I don't have time to waste with contractors who don't show up.

He did a great job. Only fixed what needed fixing. Very competent and fair. No charge for the trip to my house. Paid a lot less than expected. He noticed the other cable on the other side of the door about to break and fixed it too. This prevented a later expense. This guy is very honest and competent.

My call was never returned. I left a very clear message with two of my phone numbers, I even mentioned Angie's list. It didn't matter.
