Description of Work: I bought a house in December that had the culligan water conditioning and filtration systems. I contacted the company before closing to discuss keeping the system. Their technician/salesman called me back on the eve of Thanksgiving and with family around and all that, unfortunately it went to voicemail. He never attempted to call back. Two weeks after closing I emailed them wondering if they wanted my business. At that point a very unfriendly Michelle responded in another voicemail they had tried to get back to me but I never called them back. Finally Scott came around and he's a very pleasant fellow. He offered me the $10 a month special for the first three months for both systems. I need the softener so Iwas willing to keep that beyond the 3 months, but as for the filtration system I wasn't too sure so the discount was useful in helping me discern. Well 3 months later I called to cancel the filtration service because I didn't make sufficient use of it. It didn't make as much of a difference to food and beverage taste compared to brita purified water. So I wasn't willing to pay $35 a month for that. A technician made an appointment to come remove it. The day before the appointed time I lost my cellphone so when he called the morning of to give me a 2 hour window I was unable to get it. I stepped out briefly to take my daughter to day care and found his door hanger when I got back, it didn't offer an alternative date. So, still without a phone I emailed Michelle Schilling to apologize and request an alternative date to be confirmed by email. That was a week ago, todate no one from culligan has made any effort to call me. There are many companies that offer similar services and what puts each one aside from the rest is the customer care. It's like culligan doesn't bother with their customers. If you just want the service but will never need to get in touch with them then go for it, but if you'll ever need a refill, or have a question, don't expect an expeditious response from this company.

Description of Work: They delivered 2 40 lb bags of salt and installed it in my water softener. I had hurt my arm, so I couldn't do it myself this time. I called several water softener companies from Angie's list, and kept being told there was a minimum delivery of 5 or 8 bags. That doesn't help enough if you got a small water softener. Then you have to store the bags (I have a small garage), and you have to fill it the next couple times until the next delivery. Culligan was the only company that would deliver and install just 2 bags I have a friend who has another water softener company deliver but they have a minimum delivery. They install the salt in her softener, but she has to do it the next couple times until she uses up the bags. I told her about this experience and she is considering calling Culligan so she doesn't have to mess with it. Also, some of the companies I called were in my area only certain days of the month. Culligan would deliver any week day and I just happened to be off work the Friday after Thanksgiving.
