Cozy Insulation

Jason was very professional in communicating to us what work was needed to bring our attic insulation up to code. The difference between the pre-test and post-test of the blower door showed a considerable change in air leakage into the attic. He and his helper worked efficiently in getting the job done.

Jason was polite, prompt, informative and was the only estimator to actually crawl into the attic to do the estimate. Everything was clean when they left.

Everything went really smooth. Jason and his team came in and pull all the old insulation, out in new, and hauled away the old insulation.

Short review: Family owned, Professional, On-time, and Affordable. Longer review: We have an older home and our attic was approximately 1600 sq feet. We needed all of the recessed lights, pipes, etc sealed. We also needed rafter vents installed. I had received multiple quotes back in 2015 but decided to put this project on hold. I called Jason 1 week before Memorial weekend and he honored the 2015 quote as well as got us in on the day before before Memorial Weekend, 6/26. On our scheduled day, Jason called to see if it was ok to come 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. They got to work right away. They finished within 2 hours. They cleaned all of the house areas that that they had been in. Performed the pressure test before and after the insulation and sealing. Would recommend them to anyone.

They did awesome work insulating my attic and explaining what they were doing. They were on time and explained in detail my bill and even got me a rebate from the gas company. I will be using them to insulate my garage ceiling.

I haven't hired anybody to do the work. It was all fine. I would hire them. He just seemed very fair. It was like he was going to do a good job and do it right but not gouge me. He seemed very down to earth. It was the best price. He was willing to do the pipe installation I have in the rest of my roof. He was very quick. He was the first one to come out.

We now have seen for ourselves that Jason (owner) is everything we were looking for-honest, quick to respond to our bid request and there when he said he would be. He has a small but hardworking crew. They cleaned up after themselves and did exactly what they said they would do. After doing a blower test before and after their work we reduced our air infiltration by 16% just as Jason had estimated, thus qualifying us for an energy rebate of $400+. Our insulation went from R25 to R55. If only ALL contractors were half this conscientious. Our son is building a new house and after getting a bid from Jason we are planning to use Cozy to do that work.

After a detailed inspection of our attic (due to mice issues), Jason explained that our 1985 house was low on insulation and recommended adding 10" of cellulose insulation for better energy efficiency and to help deter any mice that might want to reside in our attic (cellulose has borax in it). He gave me a very competitive estimate. Communication went well either by email or by phone. We had another estimate which was similar. We like to support our veterans when possible, so we chose Jason. He did not fail to live up to our trust. The insulation job went well as far as insulating goes. Not glamorous, but definitely a necessity! And our numbers (the before and after test that was done for the Centerpoint rebate) revealed that the added insulation really boosted our overall energy efficiency. My husband and I are very happy with the outcome.

Jason and his crew arrived on time and got to work right away. Blower door test was performed first to get a feel for how the house was currently at. He was very careful to look for all possible points of back draft including making sure our wood burning fireplace did not fill up the house with ash. After that they got started with prepping the attic for sealing. They worked together both below the attic and above to locate every possible light box and wire hole and sealed them all up. Installed chutes where possible then the fun stated with the blower machine. Being the curious homeowner I am he was gracious enough the take the time to answer all of my questions. After it was all said and done we did the blower test again and went over the results. I can't wait for the warmer weather now!

Jason was very professional. In the process of redoing my kitchen I ran into possible insulation issues. Despite Jason being extremely busy, he took time to answer my questions over the phone and also stopped by to look at my issue. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He told me that my situation was correctly insulated and did not need attention. I thank him again and Cozy insulation is on my list if I ever need his services in the future.

Great call, answers his own phones, weekend / evening, provided good, helpful information, price was nice, Jason has a knack for attention to detail, conscientious of aesthetics. His work also sounded to be thorough. Extremely helpful, nice guy too. Impressed enough to give a review from our conversation alone. Will update this review, if deciding to hire outside help to complete this work (he would be the one I hire).

It went very well. Jason and his team showed up right on time and did exactly as they said that they would do. He also cleaned up when he was done. I am am very pleased. He was also more reasonably priced then some of the other contractors on centerpoint energy rebate program.

This went very well. Jason came out and reviewed the job to be done then gave us a written quote via email. He told us what needed to be done and what he would do. Jason and another, Matt, cam out at the scheduled date and time. They did all the air sealing then followed up with the insullation. When they weer finished Jason explained everything they had done. A very good and thorough job.

I did do insulation off of Angie's List and I used Cozy Insulation. My experience with them was great, it couldn't have been better. They are very prompt. They schedule quickly, did the work quickly and it was to my expectations.

Jason came out and bid the job and honored his quote almost six months later. Jason and crew were in and out in a day, a day when I was at the office. I wouldnt have even known they were at the house as they cleaned up perfectly once the work was completed. Jason added a layer of insulation to my attic, installed chutes and sealed other areas. Jason and team also completely cleaned out a crawl space and spray foamed the walls - it was a space I definitely had no interest in crawling into. Jason and team did great work, I would recommend them to anyone.

This was a very positive experience. Jason came out, gave us a good estimate, plus other information about the structure of our attic, why he recommended which kind of insulation, and answered all our questions.
